Inherent Hypocrisy

For a long time, my ideas, beliefs and sticky perceptions about ‘perfection’ remained in the realms of non-existence. Once, i believed it should be possible for people to just be good, do what they ought to do, what society considers right, that is, without having to mess things up any step of the way.

You have probably yourself been this way sometime in the past, or still are. A place where you believe in your own ethereal perfection, expecting many others to also just be “perfect”.

When the new year began, one of the major resolutions i had made was to be as much practicable as i could possibly be in considering reasons why folks do what they do sometimes, why men think sometimes way they do, why folks accept somethings and reject others. I came to a place in my life ( and i desire that you reading this would learn something from this) where i was kind off critical of stuff in general, talking about beliefs, strategy, perceptions, social and spiritual alignments. I saw more ‘bad’ than ‘good’ in many things about several different people. There is really nothing bad about being careful, and observing things to be ‘sure’, but where it happens only so you could vindicate yourself as the good one out, separate and different in terms of ‘the good’ and ‘the bad’, then you might want to consider checking your living values and principles of life. When i was critical, i felt it was the way to live, i know now that it was just bad.

Then the Lord began to show me somethings in the Word, powerful truths that make me see that, in reality, there should not be preachers or anything of the sort, folks that claim to be wise guardians, telling others how to live their lives against the backdrop of their personal ‘goodness’, ‘genuineness’ and ‘perfect nature’. Now at this point, you might begin to wonder what this guy is talking about, is he serious? is it wrong to have preachers, pastors, life guardians and all that?

Well, what i said i did because in the most practical sense, no man is flawless, faultless, ‘spotless’ or absolutely ‘clean’. Even the man that preaches about holiness, morality, immorality, corruption etc has his own ‘issues’ if you get what i am saying. Utter sinfulness is not just a reserve of some few evil men and woman. Every individual has got their own weaknesses, challenges, difficulties and pressures that most often define and shape their ‘works’, activities, physical engagements, why they do what they do way they do them.

Few days ago, i witnessed something on the main campus of the University of Ghana that more than surprised me. A young lady in her early twenties was allegedly caught having stolen a laptop and some other things belonging to students resident at a particular hostel. It is alleged by many that she is not a student, considering the fact that she wasn’t known among those leaving on that floor of the hostel building. The University however, is yet to confirm the truth or otherwise of the claims by the students. This lady was so molested and terribly manhandled by the male students that took matters into their own hands, refusing campus security agents access to the lady.

As i later watched a footage of the horrible scenes, i began to ask myself many questions – Why people think they are better than others is a question i can only ask God. No man is faultless, flawless or totally free of negativeness. The only thing that makes a difference is the free gift of Righteousness we Christians have received in Christ Jesus. Even then, we all can attest to the fact that, every now and then we think thoughts, say things, and do stuff that grossly contradict the determinations of God; actions and thoughts that are in direct contradiction to the Will and Want of the Lord of our weak Souls. We have however forgotten how everyday, every second we wrong God ourselves, and leaving our own issues unattended to, we go about projecting an image that is not real, an image of our ‘perfect’ selves. Many times, you would recall yourself thinking of, and judging others as very terrible people, while failing to take detailed stock of your reserve of actions and inactions that have failed to bring joy to hearts of many, statements you have made that implanted seeds of malice and bitterness in the eyes and souls of many others, actions that have caused others irrevocable losses, irreparable damages.

As i watched the video of this alleged ‘woman thief’, and how she was abused physical, sexually molested in line with a usual student shame-coating process sort of, directed at erasing her feminine dignity, i told myself, Hypocrisy is an Inherent quality of human souls, it’s in us all by nature. The world is suffering many terrible things today because some nations, peoples, languages, factions and social -setups have failed to see the hypocrisy with which they have handled their international relations and foreign policies with their neighbours. Governments say terrible things about others to gain international advantage. She received all manner of verbal assaults, physical tortures and sexual abuses. Others who would not be part directly of the gruesome molestation and other acts of sheer inhumanity, just stood by shouting and giving consent to the high evil perpetrated against this woman. (Romans 1:32)

This is not about trying to justify stealing or robberies or anything of the sort. No. The allegations of stealing may or may not be true, considering the fact that we actually live in a world of blackmails, where people frame others to gain the moral advantage. But even if she committed the act, was that why she had to be abused sexually, molested, physically tortured, her feminine elements degraded, her womanhood and pride mercilessly deflated down to the zero? Every individual qua individual has natural determinations that remain inviolable by any other person or group of persons, save of course, the embodiment of such groups, in this case the State, and higher than the State, God.

When was the last time you sat to consider general life issues and social questions like why people do what they do in a fallen world like what we live in? Have we thought about the many people on the streets who have to beg to survive because they were abandoned by some irresponsible people that got pregnant and gave birth when they were not ready? And have you considered the possibility of many robbers and criminals getting involved in whatever they might be in because they sought for love from society but got a stone-response? Selfishness has made wickedness a sort of normal trend in the daily affairs of earthmen these days. People live in horrible circumstances, suffering unimaginable, want and terrifying pain of the flesh and emotions, and nobody thinks about them. When after there is nothing left to do, they either consider suicide or survival by negative means. They may not be bad after all. They got where it’s bad to be because society gave no attention to their humanness. So, let’s stop shoving off people that come to us for help, you never know what those few minutes of listening attention you lend that person would positively accomplish. Let’s learn to understand why people do what they do, and when we are not happy about their actions, let’s think and consider ways we could help, not condemn or act in ways that bring to their human image and amplitude nothing but greater traducement, calumny, odium and anguish.

We shall be our own saviours if we learn to appreciate people, and rebuke evil and negativity by love, streamline disagreements by dialogue, and tolerate varying views on anything, however much we think such views might be false. Love is the solution to the World’s Problems!!

John 12:42-43

Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Early in the morning today, i began to look closely at some of the very phenomenal statements made by Jesus in the Book of John. Just then, i came across a favourite scripture i have previously read many times. For a moment, i decided to meditate more deeply on it and see if i could glean some more revelation, and i thank God for showing me some more things i like to share with you.

The praise of men. This is a disease that has grown to form a solidified, negative fabric of hypocrisy in the Church of Jesus Christ. Today, it has become very easy to hear people confess they are believers in Christ, but not many resemble Christ. Many have so compromised with the world, you can’t tell the difference between them and members of demonic cults.

One very important thing everyone should know is that, anything you engage in and expect praise is founded on a worthless foundation of a selfish spirit and therefore rewardless within the cycles of Godly blessing. In Church today, many folks struggle to serve. There is nothing wrong with a divinely implanted desire to do some service in the Kingdom, but the motives do matter a lot. You will perhaps be amazed to discover that a very large percentage of people serving in the Ministry are doing so with the wrong motives – many of them seek the praise of men, they seek to be recognized by others.

The situation is so bad that, some would rather chose to remain in a state of spiritual mess, dabbling in witchcraft and other kinds of uncleanness, long as they would be recognized by church leadership as doing something, every other thing does not matter. I’m not in doubt about the great number of folks that serve the devil in darkness, and feign Christianity openly just so they can receive the selfish attention they have always sought for. These are the kinds that won’t study God’s word for themselves, but just so they can make a point in a cell meeting or whatever meeting. People don’t want to clean themselves up so the Spirit can dwell in them and produce God’s glory that would shape their character towards their commitment to Jesus Christ.

Many individuals, within the cycles of ministry, pay to get through to certain positions. There is nothing about Christ that really motivates them, just the self-promotion impulses and an evil desire to project their personalities instead of magnifying the God of Heaven. Perhaps they haven’t known that, anything done not based on love for God, with the energy of the Spirit, is virtually needless and unrewarding.

That’s just one side to the Rhema of the scripture above.

A Second Dimension, more devastating to the Faith and Body of Christ, is the lack of boldness and passion towards things that concern Jesus Christ. The chief priests also believed but they could not confess Jesus to get saved, because they FEARED they would be thrown out of the synagogue. In his book, “Life, Your Heritage”, i remember Bishop David Oyedepo say that if the devil ever will kill any person, he will first get them to fear what they are supposed to have dominion over. So true. Satan has always used fear to cage his unsuspecting victims, and on many occasions killed even believers because they feared what they didn’t understand. In the secret societies and cults, witchcraft covens, satanic conclaves, the same tool is used to keep members in continual bondage. How many times have you failed to make others know you are Christian, you believe in Jesus Christ and Him alone, even though you had the opportunity to? Tell me the reason was not because u feared. Maybe because of the people around, the environment, expected reactions of other human beings who are no more special than yourself.

Many times, we get the opportunity to shout the Name of Jesus so people can hear and see that indeed there are some very committed children of the King, but we fail to glorify Him. Let’s not forget what Jesus said in Matthew 10:33 “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven”. If professing you Faith will cause you to lose your job, let it happen. Sometimes we hold on too tightly to worldly things that we can’t even glorify the Saviour of our souls, and give Him the honour due Him. But then again, i heard Jesus say in John 12:25 “He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. Loving anything more than your Christ, you Deliverer, the source of your Life, is simply a call of personal destruction, the dark mistake of opening up doorways that will launch a devastating onslaught of wickedness in your life, unleashed by the forces of hell.

Then also, i realized the Bible says, the reason fear set in, for which reason the chief priests could not identify with Christ, was because they loved the voice of People than the Voice of God. Many times, Believers would compromise the truth of God’s Word because they can’t stand the isolation of ungodly companies. Let’s watch and not go for vain glories, but continually set our minds and hearts on only Him – JC, and do all things to glorify Him alone.

I cannot show you how to be successful unless you get to the Word of God, but i can show you the formula that leads to failure : try to please people. Don’t leave your entire life just to hear folks call you good names. Infact, people will never call you good unless you are like them..that’s the world. Armed robbers see themselves as brothers, until one is arrested and gives information implicating the rest of the members, then he becomes an enemy. So, in the world, they would call you good long as you are like them.

Let hypocrisy be completely rooted out of the Church and let true love and commitment to Jesus Christ dominate every Christian’s life and ministry. Let’s proclaim His goodness to the world everywhere…. He has saved us, washed and cleansed us in His own Blood, given us a Life over and above every thing called the devil. How can we say thanks to Him for everything when we wouldn’t as much mention His Name, sacrificing His glory on the stupid tenets of convenience.

Jesus is the Hope of Earth, and the Joy of Heaven, the only Reason for Life, and i would rather live to receive His praises and blessing, than settle for any kind of worldly recognition. Can you make this decision as well, even now? It pays, brethren, it pays to not seek praises from men, who might even be ungodly. For when all is said and done, it’s not what people say that opens the Gates of Heaven to your spirit and soul, but what the King of King says.

With Love,
Prince Kay

Hurts and Purification 2

The story of Job in the Old Testament is a perfect illustration of a true believer in God who developed perseverance and wisdom in the face of trials. Job was an upright and blameless man who feared God and turned away from evil. However the time came for him to go through trials and suffering rained down on him in all forms. His wealth, which was measured in thousands of animals, was all lost in one day. He also lost all his ten children and as if all this was not enough, he was also with physical pain. This very righteous man was now suffering both psychologically and physically, but his reverence for God did not waver.

Even his WIFE lost confidence in God and told Job to hasten his death, which was seen imminent, by cursing God. Job’s reply to her was that we should not only be ready to accept ‘good’ from God but also trouble. He refused to turn his back on God even though conditions became worse with the arrival of his three friends who accused him of suffering because of some secret sin. However, Job sought the face of God. He cried out to God for an explanation of his suffering, which he knew that he did not deserve. He passed his life and endured these trials with the wisdom that he gained from God, which surpassed all the human wisdom that his friends displayed. This story portrays the fact that true godly wisdom is to reverently love God more than all the gifts we receive from Him and to trust in his goodness even though we cannot always understand his ways. It is worthy to note that God gives us a special grace for every trial if we ask for it. That is why, John Milton could write poetry while he was blind and Beethoven could compose music even though he was living in the silent world of deafness. God’s grace is sufficient for every situation or condition. The apostle Paul wrote in his second letter to the Corinthians that after having pleaded with God three times to take away his “thorn in the flesh”, God told him that His Grace was sufficient for him because this power is made perfect in weakness. (2 Cor 12:8-9). God’s grace produces wisdom in man, in faith and perseverance.

God uses trials or tests to strengthen our faith in Him.The result of trials in our lives will be the ability to persevere to the end, hoping for our reward in heaven. This ability is a virtue that only trials and suffering will produce. It also yields a stable character and a firm showing of our faith. The story of Abraham in Genesis 22 is an example of a man developing perseverance from his test.

God had promised Abraham that He would make him father of many nations and that He would establish His covenant with Abraham’s descendants, giving them the land of Canaan as an everlasting possession. God also gave Abraham and his wife Sarah a son in their old age and they were happy. Suddenly, God tested Abraham by telling him to take his son Isaac and sacrifice him as a burnt offering to Him. Abraham had promised to be obedient to God and had even consecrated his son to the Lord by circumcision. However, his hopes of becoming the father of a great nation were being dashed, as he was now to kill the son of the covenant. This did not hamper Abraham’s loyalty to God but he obediently took the boy away to be sacrificed. He was confident that God would do something to fulfill His promise to him. When Isaac questioned his father about the animal for the burnt offering, the answer was that God himself would provide it. Abraham endured this ordeal of going up the mountain with his son, building the alter for the sacrifice, arranging the wood for the fire, binding his son and laying him on top of the wood to kill him. It is almost unimaginable that a father could do this to his own son, but Abraham suffered this test, trusting God to do something for him later, as He had done before. God proved Himself to Abraham by providing a ram for the sacrifice and by also renewing His covenant to bless him and multiply his descendants. Abraham persevered as a result of suffering and was rewarded accordingly.

Sometimes, people can so fail you, until you begin to wonder if anything is real in this world. Phantasmagoric illusions begin to swipe violently at you through the mind, and you begin to question everything, from the existence of God, to what makes a human being a human being.

It only takes Faith through perseverance to stand the mental onslaught of elemental devils that daily project thoughts that seek to undermine the effectual power and Authority of God’s Word in a Believer’s life. The more one hangs in there, without shaking, giving in, giving up or out to the devil, Faith will without doubt, superimpose the Miracle of God in honour of our perseverance and patience.

Perseverance is a development, which shapes a Christian believer’s character around his commitment to Christ. It indicates the assurance given to those who follow Christ, reminding them that God’s power will keep them as Christians until they die and that they will surely live with Christ in heaven forever. It involves persistence and steadfastness in prayer, with faith-filled declarations towards release and ultimate victory. Hurts and Purification

This particular writeup is the result of years of varying trials, hurts, rejections, disappointments and victories i have experienced. Im still very young, but life has shown me certain things ,whiles God has used many of these experiences to show me the way forward:perseverance through Faith.
Life almost always doesn’t bring you what you want, and while the storms keep raging at you, just keep calm, and get stronger than the waves-i mean, keep faith with your future and life vision, for i have come to realize that only faith can keep you going after the leftover fires of hurts of life have burnt you very deep, even more especially when you cant justify the loss and terror you have suffered.
Beloved, the hurts will surely heal.God’s purifying you so that which He brings forth from you will be pure. He’s working in u a process that goes beyond simple obedience, to the roots of unrighteousness that produce disobedience. He’s getting u and i strengthened moment by moment, moving us from one level to the next, and never leaving us to sit on our dregs(Jer 48:11)

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (II Corinthians 5:7)

For some the wait is endless. Whatever you’re waiting on doesn’t really matter. The human condition lends itself to our growing more impatient as time passes.

That impatience causes us to go before God, get in the way of God, or even miss God. Mistakes are made, promises are broken, and dreams dashed. You find yourself fighting to find the faith while living through the Not Yet. Living through the Not Yet gives us the opportunity to grow closer to God, and provides us a powerful testimony to share with others who may be going through a similar faith struggle.

In John 6:24-33, after Jesus had taken the two loaves and five fish and fed the 5,000; after He walked on water and calmed the stormy sea He still faced a crowd of non-believers. Although Jesus had just performed miracles, they still wanted more before they would believe.

How relevant is that passage of scripture for us today! So many times in our life’s journey we ignore the everyday blessings God provides us and question if and when God will bring us through. Then we want a “sign” to know for sure. Be honest– how many times have you prayed, “If this is you Lord then make this or that happen,” or “Lord, I want to believe, but please show me a sign.” What we fail to realize, is God shows us daily miracles! He continuously brings us out of situations: you have a car problem– He sends a mechanic who happens to be driving by. You have a bill due- You get an unexpected check in the mail. Friends, it’s not happenstance. It’s God!

Second-guessing God’s promises for your life has no place in your life. Step out of your comfort zone- step into your Faith and don’t give in to the tricks of the enemy. Remember our trials come to make us strong! So praise Him in advance while He’s bringing you through a tough situation. Remember, what we learn in the Not Yet is that the promise of God holds true regardless of the time that the promise takes to come to pass.

So what else do you need before you believe? John 6:29 tells us we are to Believe in Him. It’s that simple. We must have Faith, and remember that faith without works is dead. Believe in the God of the Miracle until your miracle comes. How do you do that? Spend quality time–not just five minutes before you fall asleep, but real quality time studying God’s word, praying and listening to praise & worship music.

You will notice a change in your spirit. You will recognize that while you are living through your Not Yet your faith is growing along with your spiritual maturity. And when your prayer is answered; when your test becomes your testimony– recognize it, thank God for it, and share it!

When you look back over your life you will see how far you were able to walk by faith.

“If anyone says that the sacrifice of the mass is one only of praise and thanksgiving; or that it is a mere commemoration of the sacrifice consummated on the cross but not a propitiatory one; or that it profits him only who receives, and ought not to be offered for the living and the dead, for sins, punishments, satisfactions, and other necessities, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 3).

Scripture says:
“whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed” -Romans 3:25

“Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people” -Hebrews 2:17

“and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world” -1 John 2:2

“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” -1 John 4:10

“If anyone says that it is a deception to celebrate masses in honor of the saints and in order to obtain their intercession with God, as the Church intends, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 5).

Scripture says:
“and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God” -Romans 8:27

“Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” -Hebrews 7:25

Explanatory Note: (Only One intercedes for us: Jesus Christ the Righteous. It is not Mary, the Saints, the Pope, or the Church. Why? It takes a perfect High Priest in heaven to intercede for us. Christ alone is worthy makes that intercession for He alone is sitted at the right hand of the throne of God–the place of rule and authority.)

“If anyone says that there is not in the New Testament a visible and external priesthood, or that there is no power of consecrating and offering the true body and blood of the Lord and of forgiving and retaining sins, but only the office and bare ministry of preaching the Gospel; or that those who do not preach are not priests at all, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 1).

Scripture says:
“Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory” -! Peter 5:1-4

“If anyone says that the bishops who are chosen by the authority of the Roman pontiff are not true and legitimate bishops, but merely human deception, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 8).

Scripture says:
“It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. These men must also first be tested -1 Timothy 3:1, 10a

“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” -2 Timothy 2:1-2

“I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” -2 Timothy 4:1-5

“Since the Catholic Church, instructed by the Holy Ghost, has, following the sacred writings and the ancient tradition of the Fathers, taught in sacred councils and very recently in this ecumenical council that there is a purgatory, and that the souls there detained are aided by the suffrages of the faithful and chiefly by the acceptable sacrifice of the altar, the holy council commands the bishops that they strive diligently to the end that the sound doctrine of purgatory, transmitted by the Fathers and sacred councils, be believed and maintained by the faithful of Christ, and be everywhere taught and preached.”

Scripture says:
“it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment” -Hebrews 9:27

“The holy council commands all bishops and others who hold the office of teaching and have charge of the cura animarum, that in accordance with the usage of the Catholic and Apostolic Church, received from the primitive times of the Christian religion, and with the unanimous teaching of the holy Fathers and the decrees of sacred councils, they above all instruct the faithful diligently in matters relating to intercession and invocation of the saints, the veneration of relics, and the legitimate use of images, teaching them that the saints who reign together with Christ offer up their prayers to God for men, that it is good and beneficial suppliantly to invoke them and to have recourse to their prayers, assistance and support in order to obtain favors from God through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our redeemer and savior; and that they think impiously who deny that the saints who enjoy eternal happiness in heaven are to be invoked, or who assert that they do not pray for men, or that our invocation of them to pray for each of us individually is idolatry, or that it is opposed to the word of God and inconsistent with the honor of the one mediator of God and men, Jesus Christ, or that it is foolish to pray vocally or mentally to those who reign in heaven.”

Scripture says:
“who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us” -Romans 8:34

“For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” -1 Timothy 2:5

We Need to Test All Things
I don’t care the popularity of the Christian leaders and how many credentials they have, how great they are but we need to test all of them in the light of the only truth the Bible.
“Test all things; hold fast what is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
Apostle Paul is telling that we ought to test all things; all means everybody, all preachers, evangelists and pastors. Be like the Bereans.
Ac 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Do not believe whatever that comes from the pulpit, radio or TV because of their popularity or they seem to be sincere or they quote scripture. Remember even Satan quoted scripture out of context to Jesus. A person can look nice but sincerely wrong.
Pr 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

The evangelical Church today do not want to expose the deceitfulness of Roman Catholicism, churches do not want to preach against the false doctrines of Romanism as they do not want to hurt the people and the church has become like a politician, wants to live in peace with everyone. The reformers are the first to expose the deceitfulness of Romanism, and today there are a few good reformed churches who are exposing the lies of Romanism, and on the other hand the majority of the Christian churches have abandoned her first roots of the Protestant Reformed faith.

The heart of the controversy between Rome and historic Protestants is a dispute over the way of salvation. Rome has a different salvation than the Protestants. But there is only one way of salvation. In John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Man is a sinner but God is infinitely holy and righteous, man has to be righteous to go to heaven. How can a man become righteous before God? “If you, O LORD, kept a record of our sins, O LORD who could stand?” (Psalm 130:3) In Short how can man go to heaven? This truth is at the foundation of historic Protestant theology; we are justified by faith alone. The sinner is declared righteous, based solely upon the righteousness of another that is of Christ’s righteousness, which is imputed or credited to the sinners account. even Christ Jesus. The righteousness of Christ is the ground of salvation. “This is why it is credited to him as righteousness. The words it was credited to him were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.” (Romans 4:22-25)
Rome absolutely denies the doctrine of justification by faith alone, pronouncing it is an anathema (Divine curse) upon those who hold to this principle. Rome said, in the 9th canon of the Council of Trent says: “If any one saith, that by faith alone the impious is justified, in such wise as to mean, that nothing else is required to cooperate in order to the obtaining the grace of Justification, and that it is not in any way necessary, that he be prepared and disposed by the movement of his own will: let him be anathema.”

Rome killed the early Protestants; during the reign of Queen Mary 288 reformers were burned, why? Because these men held to the truth, and did not compromise with Rome but today Christians have forgotten the roots and joining hands with Rome and say, let us pray, love and embrace each other, let us pray for the Pope, and Roman Catholicism, yes says many ignorant Christians, and they join with Roman Catholics together and say, “we all believe in the Trinity, the Deity of Christ, the virgin birth Christ’s bodily resurrection and therefore Romanism is not a cult, she has errors, we need to pray for the Pope and instead of fighting with each other let us love them, embrace them.”

Let us see some of the most popular Christian leaders who have joined hands with Roman Catholic church for the sake of unity and are compromising the truth of the gospel.
Dr. Bill Bright (Campus Crusade for Christ)
Dr. Charles Colson (Prison Fellowship Ministries)
Rev. Max Lucado (Oak Hills Church of Christ, San Antonio, Tx)
Dr. J. I. Packer (Regent College, B.C.)
Dr. John Rodgers (Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry)
There are others who support Romanism. Billy Graham is one of them. Billy Graham said, “Many of the people who reach a decision for Christ at our meetings have joined the Catholic church.”
1978: “I found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Catholics.” ” (McCall’s, Jan. 1978).
What does Billy Graham thinks about the Pope?
1963: “I admire Pope John [XXIII] tremendously. I felt he brought a new era to the world” Chicago Tribune, June 8, 1963).
In 1980 he wrote an article, which appeared in the Saturday Evening Post (Jan.-Feb. 1980). He said: “Pope John Paul II is one of the greatest moral and spiritual leaders of this century. He is an evangelist.”
Hank Henegraff the host of the popular ‘Bible Answer Man’ program calls Roman Catholics, brothers and sisters.
Then many other modern evangelicals stay neutral, will not speak up against the Roman Catholics. It is interesting to go back to history and see why the believers wanted to stay silent and not speaking against the Pope. The man who is qualified to answer this question is Martin Luther, this is what Luther said, ” I have heard divers worthy doctors affirm, that the church has long since stood in need of reformation; but no man was so bold as to assail popedom; for the pope had on his banner, Noli me tangere; therefore every man was silent. Dr. Staupitz said once to me: “If you meddle with popedom you will have the whole world against you;” We believe there is no difference between the modern church and the church of Luther’s day. But Luther stood up for the truth and he continued on the truth, Luther was not looking for popularity as he was ex-communicated from the Roman Catholic church as a heretic, but he was God’s hero for standing for the truth.

Charles Spurgeon said on Roman Catholicism, “We must fight the Lord’s battles against this giant error, whichever shape it takes; and so must we do with every error that pollutes the church. Slay it utterly; let none escape. “Fight the Lord’s battles.” Even though it is an error that is in the Evangelical Church, yet must we smite it. Also he said, “No peace with sin, no peace with falsehood. War, war, war without deliberation: war for ever with error and deceit!”
Pope is an Antichrist.

The Greek word [anti] in scripture most nearly denotes something that is “in place of” another thing. The root meaning is, “instead of” or “in place of”. It is not the original but a substitution, not Christ but a substitute for Christ. Instead of Christ a false Christ an Antichrist.

For us to get a good picture let us read the following in 2 Thessalonians.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. ]

The early Christian church was persecuted heavily for the truth. Christians were publicly crucified, given to the Lions to be eaten and were burned. The year 311 AD, the persecution ended, when Constantine became the Roman emperor, he embraced Christianity. This was the beginning of the falling away of the church. The churches that began in homes disappeared as churches were built for worship, bishops and preachers received good salaries from the State. Now it was an honor to become a Christian, pagans were turned into Christianity not because of true repentance but to gain honor and popularity. Before the church was called Catholic, meaning the true universal church. Now the church was ruled by Rome and became Roman Catholic, the apostate church.

Let us examine the above scriptures we read. Christ is substituted, as Pope has taken the position of Christ Jesus. When Pope Pius IX was Archbishop of Venice, he stated: ‘the pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, but he is Jesus Christ Himself, hidden under the veil of the flesh. Does the pope speak? It is Jesus Christ who speaks. Does the pope accord a favour or pronounce an anathema? It is Jesus Christ who accords the favour or pronounces that anathema. So that when the pope speaks we have no business to examine.’
• ‘Vicar of Christ’ – Prior to the twelfth century the popes were styled ‘Vicars of Peter’. Since then they have called themselves ‘Vicars of Jesus Christ’. It should be noted that the word ‘vicar’ means ‘substitute’, i.e., one who takes the place of another. The Holy Spirit is the only ‘vicar’ of Christ. Read John 14:16,17; and 16:7,13,14.
Roman Catholicism believes it is the true church, as the scripture points out, the Antichrist, sitting in the temple of God and proclaiming to be God. Let us see how the Pope fits into this category.

• ‘Universal Bishop’ – This title was first assumed by Pope Boniface III in 606 AD. It was the first official claim to supremacy by any pope. It is also a theft from Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:25.
• ‘Our Most Holy Lord’ – Council of Trent, 1545. Christ alone is Lord. Revelation 17:14.
• ‘Most Holy and Blessed Father, Head of the Church, Ruler of the World, to whom the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven are committed, whom the angels in Heaven revere, and the gates of Hell fear, and all the world adores’ – used of Pope Innocent X at his ‘enthronement’, 1644. This is another usurpation – Matthew 23:9; Colossians 1:18; Revelation 1:18; Revelation 4:10.
• ‘Divine Monarch, Supreme Emperor, King of kings’ – Stolen from Christ. Revelation 17:14.
• ‘Head of the Church’ – Stolen from Christ. Colossians 1:18.
• ‘The Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world’ – stolen from Christ, John 1:29.
• ‘The Chief Shepherd’ – Stolen from Christ, 1 Peter 5:24.
• ‘Universal Priest’ – Stolen from Christ, Hebrews 2:17.
¬Contrast of the true Christ and the false Christ.
Christ wore a crown of thorns
The Pope wears a crown of jewels.
Christ carried on His shoulders the Cross
The Pope is carried on the shoulders of his servants in splendor.
Christ declared the laws of His Kingdom and urged His followers to do the same.
The Pope tramples them underfoot and substitutes his own in their stead.
Christ sent the Holy Spirit to be His Vicar on earth.
The Pope claims to be the Vicar of Christ on earth.
Christ is the Head of the Church.
The Pope claims to be the head.
Christ taught that sin should be confessed to God
The Pope teaches that sin should be confessed to the priests.
Christ taught that he alone is the Saviour.
The Pope teaches that the Church is the Saviour.
Christ taught that there was but one Mediator between God and man.
The Pope teaches that there are many mediators between God and man.
Christ taught that salvation was by grace.
The Pope teaches that salvation is by works.
Christ claimed infallibility for Himself and the Word of God alone.
The Pope claims infallibility for himself in matters of faith and morals.
Christ had no place to lay his head.
The Pope lives in a magnificent palace surrounded by wealth.
Christ gave his Gospel free to all.
The Pope sells his masses and other favours
Christ said “Call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven” (Matt. 23:9)
The Pope commands all to call him `Holy Father’, and his priests feel insulted if persons do not address them as `Father’
Christ was poor and lowly.
The Pope’s wealth is immense.
Christ washed His disciples` feet thus manifesting a spirit of humility worthy of emulation by his followers.
The Pope presents his foot to be kissed and requires genuflections and kneeling from those who have audiences with him.
Christ taught his followers to pray to God through Him.
The Pope teaches his followers to pray to the Virgin Mary.
We praise the Lord for using Martin Luther as an instrument who exposed the deceitfulness of Romanism.
What did Luther say of Pope?
Whence comes it that the popes pretend `tis they who form the church, when, all the while, they are bitter enemies of the church, and have no knowledge, certainly no comprehension, of the Holy Gospel? Pope, cardinals, bishops, not a soul of them has read the Bible; `tis a book unknown to them. They are a pack of guzzling, stuffing wretches, rich, wallowing in wealth and laziness, resting secure in their power, and never, for a moment, thinking of accomplishing God’s will.

Seeing the pope is antichrist I believe him to be a devil incarnate. Like as Christ is true and natural God and man, so is antichrist a living devil. It is true, too, what they say of the pope, that he is a terrestrial god, – for he is neither a real god nor a real man, but of the two natures mingled together.

He names himself an earthly God, as though, the only true and Almighty God were not on earth! Truly, the pope’s kingdom is a horrible outrage against the power of God and against mankind; an abomination of desolation, which stands in the holy place.

When I was in Rome a disputation was openly held, at which were present thirty learned doctors besides myself, against the pope’s power; he boasting that with his right hand he commands the angels in heaven, and with his left draws souls out of purgatory, and that his person is mingled with the godhead.

.” No human creature may criticize the pope; he only and alone has power to judge and criticize the whole universal world. I am persuaded, that in the pope’s spiritual laws it is written above one thousand times, that the pope’s actions may not be criticized by any man whatsoever.

The spiritual law of the pope is a filthy book, stinking of money. Take out of it covetousness and ambition, there remains nothing of its own proper substance, yet is has a great lustre, for all unhappiness must begin in nomine Domini. Like as all righteousness and saving health is only “in the name of the Lord, so, under the color and cover of God’s name, all idolatry and superstition come. Therefore the commandment fitly says: “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.”

In popedom they make priests, not to preach and teach God’s Word, but only to celebrate mass, and to gad about with the sacrament. For, when a bishop ordains a man, he says: Take unto thee power to celebrate mass, and to offer for the living and the dead. But we ordain priests according to the command of Christ and St Paul, namely to preach the pure gospel and God’s Word. The papists in their ordinations make no mention of preaching and teaching God’s Word, therefore their consecrating and ordaining is false and unright, for all worshipping which is not ordained of God, or erected by God’s Word and command, is nothing worth, yea, mere idolatry.
The pope’s crown is named gegnum mundi, the kingdom of the world. I have heard it credibly reported at Rome, that this crown is worth more than all the princedoms of Germany.
If the pope were the head of the Christian church, then the church were a monster with two heads, seeing that St Paul says that Christ is her head. The pope may well be, and is, the head of the false church. I say, the pope is an arch heretic, for he is an adversary to my blessed Saviour Christ; and so am I to the pope, because he makes new laws and ordinances according to his own will and pleasure, and so directly denies the everlasting priesthood of Christ.
The question that I am going to ask you, is where do you stand? You may say, “I am a Christian and I do not believe in Roman Catholicism.” If you, claim to be a Christian do you read and study the word of God? Martin Luther said, ” If I do not study the word of God, Satan will have a lot of work for me to do.” The early church fell away as the church departed from the word of God. When you depart from the word of God, the devil will take you to the gray area of compromise. Luther is right the devil has the whole day planned for you with a busy schedule, and the devil whisper to your ears, “Yes, you can read and study the word of God, you can pray, but later.” Before soon you realize, that later is postponed to later.

Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Yes, we are working hard for the physical things of life, but neglect the spiritual, Jesus said, ” in John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life..”

Why Has The New Pope Called Himself Benedict XVI?
Benedict IX’s life offers clues to the new Pope’s intentions
OF THE 265 popes, nine chose the name Benedict (‘Blessed’) in the first millennium, and six in the second.
Christian names are given in the covenant hope that children will live up to them. Names are also significant in the realm of the occult. People take them to live up to the name’s associations. The modern Babylon, built on Rome’s seven hills, is “the hold of every foul spirit”. Here the Chilean Cardinal, Dean Jorge Arturo Medina Estivez, will have secretly asked the new pope: “Do you accept your canonical election as Supreme Pontiff? Ratzinger would next have been asked, “By what name do you wish to be called?” Ratzinger would then go to “The Room of Tears” to lament on the gravity of his responsibilities as Benedict The first thing the waiting world is told is the new Pope’s name: “I announce to you a great joy. We have a Pope. The most eminent and reverend Lord, the Lord Cardinal Ratzinger, Cardinal of the Holy Roman Church, who takes to himself the name Benedict.”
Ratzinger will have taken that name for a reason.
Gigantic power struggle¬
Ratzinger’s election broke all the rules. He was the oldest Cardinal ever to become pope. Yet he went into the Conclave a likely candidate and, contrary to all protocol, emerged as Pope despite his age:
What is more, a run of two non Italian popes has not occurred since the so called ‘Babylonish captivity’, which still sends shudders around the Vatican. This was when 14th century European politics drove the papal epicentre, to Avignon.
Despite all the sophisticated Vatican anti-bugging devices, the Italian newspapers seemed to know that a gigantic power struggle was in progress on the second day of the conclave. The Ratzinger camp was pushing forward like a panzer brigade flattening eve¬rything before it. And whatever his travail in the “Room of Tears”, he duly emerged as pope that evening, grinning like a Cheshire cat.
Futures Market got it right
Stephen Evans, the BBC’s North America business correspondent gives us a clue to these events. “If you had wanted to know who was the most likely cardinal to be promoted to Pope you shouldn’t have relied on the pundits. Nor should you have taken any notice of the Vatican watchers who studied the arcane politics of the Catholic Church. Your best bet would have been … an investment in an online futures market. They got it spot on. The Intrade futures market had Cardinal Ratzinger well ahead of the field. On top of that, it or rather the tens of thousands of traders collectively reckoned there was a 60% chance of there being a European pope”.
Big business knew. Papal Europe must be resurrected. And who was better qualified to be the embodiment of a new Europe centred Vatican initiative than the middle European veteran of the fascist era, Joseph Ratzinger?
No to Turkey
Ratzinger’s definition of “Europe” as “a cultural and not a geographical continent,” is straight out of the Book of Revelation. So is his defining of its limits: “Turkey always represented another continent throughout history, in permanent contrast with Europe … so to equate the two continents would be a mistake,” he told Le Figaro in August 2004.
Challenged, he afirmed to Le Monde, “Turkey should seek its future among Islamic organizations, not in the Christian rooted EU”.
According to Zaman, the Turkish news agency, the dismayed Assembly Spokesman of the Catholic Bishops of Turkey, George Marovitch, retaliated, “I do not approve of Cardinal Ratzinger’s remarks about Turkey.
What Ratzinger’s did was only to state his views on a political matter. Catholics are not bound to, these views about Turkey’s EU memership.
They are now.
Financial considerations
Such a short conclave will already have been a welcome saving on housekeeping for a Vatican which is back in the red. Disgraced Vatican banker Paul Marcinkus observed “You can’t run a Church on Hail Marys”. Nor it seems on “arcane politics” nor the papal aspirations of the countless poor Roman Catholics of Latin America and Africa. The Time reports $840 million (£444 million) has already been paid out in the USA, historically the largest contributor to Peter’s pence, on paedophilia settlements. A host of irrefutably claims wait in the wings worldwide. But with the US dollar falling and US market supremacy threatened from the east, it is time for the, scarlet woman to dig her spurs firmly into the European beast and meet European secularism and indifference head on.
St Benedict of Europe
St Benedict is the papal saint of Europe. The shrine of Subiaco where Benedict founded an order of monks in AD 529 is near Rome. St Benedict’s monastic “rule” was like Ratzinger’s, conservative but not too austere. For a millennium, the Benedictines were responsible for keeping Europe in papal thraldom. Rome used the Benedictine network to influence medieval economic migration through Europe. In the same way, Rome seeks to maintain her influence, during today’s economic migration of Spanish, Portuguese, Poles and Eastern Europeans.
In passing, we note that Cardinal Hume was a Benedictine and embodied the Benedictine ideal. His was the iron hand in a velvet glove which Rome claimed, “personified the final healing of the wounds of King Henry VIII’s Reformation rule” in England.
St Benedict the Holy pilgrim
April 16th is Cardinal Ratzinger, Benedict XVI’s birthday and also of another Benedict, St Benedict Joseph Labre, known as the “Holy Pilgrim”. This delicate youth wandered about Europe and ended up in Rome, sitting in churches all day and sleeping rough in the Coliseum at night. He eventually collapsed in a church and, holy or not, was quickly removed to a nearby butchers to breathe his last. Ratzinger would presumably see little likeness between himself and St Benedict Joseph Labre, apart perhaps for the imminence of his own demise.
Pope Benedict XV
Friend Cardinal Meisner says Ratzinger chose the name Benedict because the last Benedict, Pope Benedict the XV, “did much for peace in the World”. He was a tiny cripple and sat on the papal throne like a child. The Vatican has attempted to cover up his disability. He was early swept away by pneumonia.
Ratzinger had a brain haemorrhage in 1991 and subsequent drop attacks. His time too is potentially short. Ratzinger’s brother thinks the conclave has signed his death warrant. If Ratzinger avoids an early stroke, he may nevertheless drag the Vatican for who can oppose him now into ever more fanatical stands through impaired judgement, from lack of blood circulation to the brain.
So what in Benedict XV’s life could be relevant to this pope?
Giacomo Della Chiesa (literally James of the Church) became Benedict XV on 3rd September 1914. Only at the end of the 20th century did it emerge that ten ballots over three days had relentlessly pushed Della Chiesa forward. This was no late compromise, contrary to what Rome has always insisted. Della Chiesa was unusual in not being the offspring of poor Italian Roman Catholic peasants made good, as were five of the 20th century Italian popes. Nor was he like the urban sophisticate who became the second world war pope; Pius XII. Della Chiesa was the real thing, a Genoese aristocrat, a bit down at heel, but with nearly a millennium of history, including the fact that his wife’s side had fielded a pope. Here was old Roman Catholic Europe writ large, as it was with Pius XII, and now once again in Ratzinger.
Chastising the Orthodox
Della Chiesa had to deal with a schism over modernism. This he handled with acts of compromise, always leaning to the conservative. He wooed back estranged France by canonising Joan of Arc. But his greatest challenge was reuniting the newly warring European powers under Vatican control. When Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria Hungary was assassinated in Sarajevo by a Serbian activist, Jesuit Cardinal Merry del Val had insisted that Serbia, which for him represented Rome’s mortal enemy the Eastern Orthodox ¬Church, be firmly “chastised”. Rome feared the waning Ottoman Empire would allow the emergence of the Orthodox church with a revitalisation of Istanbul as a new second Rome with St Andrew’s successor, backed by Russia, rivalling the successor of St Peter.
Today Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew I, St Andrew’s 270th successor, still sits locked away in the Phanar district, of Istanbul. Visitors “cannot enter the Phanar’s main gate because it was welded shut in 1821 after the Ottoman Turks hanged Patriarch Gregory V from its lintel. The black doors have remained sealed ever since”. Benedict XVI, like Benedict XV before him, faces a threat from Eastern Orthodoxy. He needs a strong Rome centred Europe and Islamic Turkey to resist it, unles he can trick Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew into ecumenical compromise.
Benedict XV repreatedly made overtures for peace in the first World War. His encyclicals exuded emotion and were filled with generalities to avoid upsetting any one. They were reminiscent of those of Pius XII in the second war. Benedict XV’s peacemaking efforts have been described as follows: his “idea of a general Christmas truce in 1914 as en end to what he termed the suicide of Europe was initially accepted by the Germans but dismissed by the Allies”. What is more, “in Italy where his regular intervention was resented as potentially weakening national fighting resolve, (this interference) further diluted his influence from 1915 onewards … the 1915 Treaty of London included secret provisions whereby the Allies agreed with Italy to ignore papal peace moves towards the Central Powers. Consequently, the publicaiton of Benedict’s proposed seven-point Peace Note of August 1917 was roundly ignored by all parties except Austria-Hungary. Despite requesting a role in the definition of the pace the Vatican was excluded from the Paris Peace Conference in 1919.”
As he lay in his deathbed Benedict XV was attended by Monsignor Giuseppe Pizzardo, a young Vatican diplomat involved in getting Catholic Aid to the starving Soviets, secretly by-passing Lenin. Pizzardo was the Roman end of a conspiracy to proselytise the Orthodox wholesale. A ready trained army of missionaries, hyped to fever pitch by propaganda of an imminent “mass conversion to the Catholic church”, stood by. A reliable expert writes, “The hope that the Catholic church could still become the heir of the orthodox in Russia motivated this Pope to the very end. Even during the night when he died of sudden pneumonia on Jan 22nd 1922, Benedict XV called Msgr. Pizzardo to his bedside three times to ask him, ‘Have the Visas come yet from the Bolsheviks?’”
And now, nearly a hundred years after Benedict XV, another Benedict must seek to unite Europe under Roman Catholicism, build a bulwark against a renewed Eastern Orthodox church, keep Turkey Islamic and infiltrate Russia by fair means and foul. Meanwhile Latin America and Africa will have to grab attention as best they can.
Look at this : ‘Following the divinely inspired teaching of our holy Fathers and the tradition of the Catholic Church we rightly define with full certainty and correctness that, like the figure of the precious and life-giving figure of the cross, venerable and holy images of our Lord and God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, our inviolate Lady, the holy mother of God, and the venerated angels, all the saints and the just, whether painted or made of mosaic or another suitable material, are to be exhibited in the holy churches of God, on sacred vessels and vestments, walls and panels, on houses and on streets.’

HOW CAN THIS BE….[Note: there is no mention of following the divinely inspired teaching of the Bible] TO VENERATE MEANS TO WORSHIP…SO THE POPE MEANS THEM STUFFS CAN BE WORSHIPPED!!

Following is an excerpt from an address given by the Cardinals to Pope Pius III in 1503 A.D., and is preserved in the National Library of Paris, Folio No. 1068, Vol. 2, pp. 650 651:
‘Of all the advice that we can offer your holiness we must open your eyes well and use all possible force in the matter, namely to permit the reading of the gospel as little as possible in all the countries under your jurisdiction. Let the very little part of the gospel suffice which is usually read in mass, and let no one be permitted to read more. So long as people will be content with the small amount, your interest will prosper; but as soon as the people want to read more, your interest will fail. The scripture is a book, which more than any other, has raised against us the tumults and tempests by which we have almost perished. In fact, if one compares the teaching of the scripture with what takes place in our churches, he will soon find discord, and will realize that our teachings are often different from the scripture, and oftener still, contrary to it.’

(Further arguments against the mass)Would you then hear glad tidings? What if I should permit unto you (as one willing to play the good fellow, and not to be stiff-necked) that the Mass were a sacrifice for sin, and that you did offer Jesus Christ for sin? Would you be content that this were permitted unto you? I think you would, for therefore have you long contended. Then let us consider, what should subsequently follow thereupon.
A sacrifice for sin was never perfect until the beast offered was slain. If in your Mass you offer Jesus Christ for sin, then necessarily in your Mass must you needs kill Jesus Christ. Do not esteem, beloved brethren, these words shortly spoken, to be vain or of small effect. They are collected of the very ground of scriptures, for they plainly testify that Christ to be offered, Christ to suffer, and Christ to shed his blood or die, are all one thing.
Paul, in the epistle to the Hebrews, says, “He appeareth now in the presence of God for us, not to offer himself often times for us, for otherwise it behooved him to have suffered often times, from the beginning of the world” (Heb. 9:24-26). Mark well, that Paul makes to offer and to suffer both one thing, and therefore he proves that Christ made but one sacrifice, because he once did suffer the death. Jesus Christ says, as it is written in Matthew, “This is my blood of the New Testament, which shall be shed for you and for many, in remission of sins” (Matt. 26:28). Mark, that remission of sins is attributed to the shedding of Christ’s blood. And Paul says, “Christ is dead for our sins” (1 Cor. 15:3). And in another place, “By one oblation or sacrifice hath he made us perfect forever” (Heb. 10:14). Consider diligently that remission of sins is attributed sometime to the shedding of Christ’s blood, sometime to his death, and sometime to the whole sacrifice which he made in suffering all pain. And why is this? Whether if there be diverse manners to obtain remission of sins? No, but because every one of these three necessarily follows [the] others. Remission of sins is commonly ascribed to any of them, for wherever Christ is offered, there is his blood shed, and his death subsequently follows.
And so Papists, if you offer Christ in sacrifice for sin, you shed his blood, and thus newly slay him. Advert what fine [end] your own desire shall bring you ¬ even to be slayers of Jesus Christ. You will say, you never pretended such abomination. I dispute not what you intended, but I only show what absurdity does follow upon your own doctrine. For necessarily if you do offer Christ for sin, as you confess, and your law does teach, you cruelly shed his blood, and finally do slay him.
But now I will relieve you of this anguish. Dolorous it were daily to commit manslaughter, and oftentimes to crucify the King of Glory. Be not afraid; you do it not; for Jesus Christ may suffer no more, shed his blood no more, nor die no more. For he has died ¬ he so died for sin ¬ and that once; and now he lives, and death may not prevail against him. And so you do not slay Christ, for no power have you to do the same. Only you have deceived the people, causing them [to] believe that you offered Jesus Christ in sacrifice for sin in your Mass ¬ which is frivolous and false, for Jesus Christ may not be offered, because he may not die.
I most gently exhort all desiring to object against these precedents, ripely to consider the ground thereof, which stands not upon the opinion of man, but upon the infallible word of God; and to resume [review] every part of their arguments and lay them to the whole body of God’s scriptures. And then, I doubt not, but all men whose sense the Prince of Darkness and of this world has not execated [blinded], shall confess with me, that in the Mass can be no sacrifice for sin. And yet, to the great blasphemy of Christ’s death, and open denial of his passion, it has been affirmed, taught, and believed, that the Mass was a sacrifice for the sins of the quick and the dead: which opinion is most false, vain, and wicked. And so, I think, the Mass to be abominable and idolatry no man of indifferent judgment will deny.
[The Mass is Not the Lord’s Supper]
Let no man intend to excuse the Mass with the pretext of the Lord’s Supper. For now will I prove that therewith it has no congruence, but is expressly contrary to it; and has taken the remembrance of the same out of mind. And further, it is blasphemous to the death of Jesus Christ.
First, they are contrary in institution. For the Lord’s Supper was instituted to be a perpetual memory of those benefits which we have received by Jesus Christ, and by his death. And first we should call to mind in what estate we stood in the loins of Adam, when we all blasphemed the majesty of God in his face.
Secondly, that his own incomprehensible goodness moved him to love us ¬ most wretched and miserable, yea, most wicked and blasphemous ¬ and love most perfect compelled him to show mercy. And mercy pronounced the sentence, which was that his only Son should pay the price of our redemption. Which thing being rightly called to memory in the present action of the Supper, could not but move us to unfeigned thanksgiving unto God the Father, and to his only Son Jesus, who has restored us again to liberty and life. And this is it which Paul commands, saying, “As often as ye shall eat of this bread, and drink of this cup, ye shall declare the Lord’s death till he come” (1 Cor. 11:26). That is, you shall laud, magnify, and extol the liberal kindness of God the Father, and the infinite benefits which you have received by Christ’s death.
But the Mass is instituted, as the plain words thereof and their own laws do witness, to be a sacrifice for the sins of the quick and the dead: for doing of the which sacrifice, God is bound not only to remit our sins, but also to give unto us whatever we will ask. And that shall testify diverse Masses celebrated for diverse causes: some for peace in time of war, some for rain, some for fair weather; yea, and (alas, my heart abhors such abomination!) some for sickness of beasts. They will say, they severally take prayers for obtaining such things. And that is all which I desire they say; for the obtaining such vain trifles, they destinate [appoint] their whole purpose, and so profane the sacrament of Christ’s body and blood (if that were any sacrament which they abused so), which should never be used but in memory of Christ’s death. Then should it not be used to pray that the toothache be taken away from us, that our oxen should not take the lowing ill, our horse the spavin or farcy [diseases], and so of all manner of diseases for our cattle. Yea, what was it wherefore you would not say Mass, perverse priests? But let us hear more.
The Supper of the Lord is the gift of Jesus Christ, in which we should laud the infinite mercy of God. The Mass is a sacrifice which we offer unto God, for doing whereof we allege God should love and commend us.
In the Supper of the Lord, we confess ourselves redeemed from sin by the death and blood of Jesus Christ only. In the Mass, we crave remission of sins ¬ yea, and whatsoever thing we list ¬ by working of that same work, which we presently do ourselves. And herein is the Mass blasphemous unto Christ and his passion. For insofar as it offers or permits remission of sins, it imputes imperfection upon Christ and his sacrifice; affirming that all sins were not remitted by his death, but that a great part are reserved to be purged by virtue and the value of the Mass. And also it is injurious unto Christ Jesus, and not only speaking most falsely of him, but also usurping to itself that which is proper to him alone. For he affirms that he alone has, by his own death, purged the sins of the world; and that no part rests to be changed by any other means. But the Mass sings another song, which is, that every day, by that oblation offered by the priests, sin is purged and remission obtained. Consider, Papists, what honour your Mass gives unto Christ Jesus!
Last, in the Supper of the Lord, we grant ourselves eternal debtors to God, and unable any way to make satisfaction for his infinite benefits which we have received. But in the Mass, we allege God to be a debtor unto us for oblation of that sacrifice which we there presently offer, and dare affirm that we there make satisfaction by doing thereof, for the sins of ourselves and of others.
If these precedents be not contrary, let men judge with indifference [impartiality]. They differ in use; for in the Lord’s Supper, the minister and the congregation sat both at one table ¬ no difference between them in preeminence nor habit, as witnesses Jesus Christ with his disciples, and the practice of the apostles after his death. But in the papistical Mass, the priests (so they will be styled) are placed by themselves at one altar. [41]And I would ask of the authority thereof, and what scripture commands so to be done. They must be clad in several habits,[42]whereof no mention is made in the New Testament. It will not excuse them to say, Paul commanded all to be done with order and decently (1 Cor. 14:40). Dare they be so bold as to affirm that the Supper of Jesus Christ was done without order, and indecently, wherein were seen no such disguised vestments? Or will they set up to us again the Levitical priesthood? Should not all be taught by the plain word?
Prelates or priests, I ask one question: You would be like the vestments of Aaron in all things. Aaron had affixed unto his garments certain bells, which were commanded to ring, and to make sound, as often as he was clad therein. But, priests, your bells want tongues; they ring not; they sound of nothing but of the earth. The people understand nothing of all your ceremonies. Fear you not the wrath of God? It was commanded Aaron that the sound of bells should be heard, that he died not. Advise with this, for the matter appertains to you.
In the Supper of the Lord all were equally participants: the bread being broken, and the cup being distributed amongst all, according to his holy commandment. In the papistical Mass, the congregation gets nothing except the beholding of your jukings, nodding, crossings, turning, uplifting, which all are nothing but a diabolical profanation of Christ’s Supper. Now, juke, cross, and nod as you list; they are [nothing] but your own inventions. And finally, brethren, you got nothing, but gazed and beheld while one did eat and drink all.
It shall not excuse you to say, the congregation is participating spiritually. O, wicked Antichrists! says not Jesus Christ, “Eat of this, and drink of this; all do this in remembrance of me?” (Matt. 26:26-27). Christ commanded not that one should gaze upon it, bow, juke, and beck [nod] thereto, but that we should eat and drink thereof ourselves; and not that we should behold others do the same; unless we would confess the death of Jesus Christ to appertain nothing to us. For when I eat and drink at that table, I openly confess the fruit and virtue of Christ’s body, of his blood and passion, to appertain to myself; and that I am a member of his mystical body; and that God the Father is appeased with me, notwithstanding my first corruption and present infirmities.
Judge, brethren, what comfort has this taken from us, [by them] which will that the sight thereof shall be sufficient. I would ask, first, if the sight of corporeal meat and drink does feed or nourish the body? I think they will say, “Nay.” And I affirm that no more profit receives the soul in beholding another eat and drink the Lord’s very Supper (as for their idolatry it is always damnable), than the body does in beholding another eat and drink, and though receiving no part thereof.
But now briefly, let this contradiction be collected [examined].[43] In the Lord’s Supper are offered thanks for the benefits which we have received of God. In the Mass, the Papist will compel God to grant all that he asks of him, by virtue of the sacrifice, and so alleges that God should refer thanks unto him that does [the] Mass.
In the Supper of the Lord, the actors [partakers] humbly do confess themselves redeemed only by Christ’s blood, which once was shed. In the Mass, the priest vaunts himself to make a sacrifice for the sins of the quick and the dead.
In the Lord’s Supper, all the partakers at that table grant and confess themselves debtors unto God, unable to refer thanks for the benefits which we have received of his liberality. In the papistical Mass, the priest alleges that God is a debtor to him, and unto all them for whom he makes that sacrifice. For he does affirm remission of sins to be obtained thereby; and in that the Mass is blasphemous to Christ’s death.
In the Lord’s Supper, all sit at one table: no difference in habit or vestment between the minister and the congregation. In the papistical Mass, the priests are placed by themselves at one altar (as they call it), and are clad in disguised garments.
In the Lord’s Supper, finally, all do eat of one bread and drink of one cup. But in the mischievous Mass, one man did eat and drink all.
Consider now, beloved brethren, what the fruits of the Mass have been, even in her greatest purity. The Mass is nothing but the invention of man, set up without all authority of God’s word, for honouring of God; and therefore it is idolatry. Unto it is added a vain, false, deceitful, and most wicked opinion: that is, that by it is obtained remission of sins; and therefore it is abomination before God. It is contrary unto the Supper of Jesus Christ, and has taken away both the right use and remembrance thereof, and therefore it is blasphemous to Christ’s death. Maintain or defend the papistical Mass who so list, this honour and service did all which used the same. And here I speak not of the most abominable abuses, as of buying and selling, used now of late by the mischievous priests; but of the Mass in her most high degree, and most honest garment; yea, even of the great Gaudeamus[44]sung or said by Gregory the Great, as Papists do call him.
Let no man think that, because I am in the realm of England, therefore so boldly I speak against this abomination. Nay, God has taken that suspicion from me, for this body lying in most painful bonds, amongst the midst of cruel tyrants,[45] his mercy and goodness provided that the hand should write, and bear witness to the confession of the heart more abundantly than ever yet the tongue spoke.
And here I call my God to record that neither profit to myself, hatred of any person or persons, nor affection or favour that I bear towards any private man, causes me this day to speak as you have heard; but only the obedience which I owe unto God in [the] ministry, showing of his word, and the common love which I bear to the salvation of all men. For so odious and abominable I know the Mass to be in God’s presence, that unless you decline from the same, to life can you never attain. And therefore, brethren, flee from that idolatry, rather than from the present death.
Here would I have spoken of the diversity of sacrifice, but neither does time nor the wickedness [frailty] of my own flesh permit that I do so. I will you [to] observe, that where I say there rests no sacrifice, nor yet are there any priests; that I mean, there rests no sacrifice to be offered for sin, nor yet are there any priests having power to offer such oblations. Otherwise, I do know that all true Christians are kings and priests, and do daily offer unto God a sacrifice most acceptable: the mortification of their affections, as Paul commanded in Romans. But hereof I may not remain to speak presently.
Such doctrine as was taught in your audience, upon Sunday before noon, I will prove, as opportunity shall permit, by God’s scriptures, not only unprofitable, but also erroneous and deceitful. But first, according to my promise, I will send unto the teacher the extract thereof, to add or diminish as by his wisdom shall be thought most expedient. For God knows my mind is not captiously to trap men in words, but my only desire being that you, my audience, be instructed in the verity; wherefrom dissents some doctrine taught [to] you (if truly I have collected) moves me to speak against all that may have appearance of lies and superstition.
And pray with me, brethren, that the Spirit may be ministered unto me in abun dance, to speak at all times as it becomes a true messenger. And I will likewise pray that you may hear, understand, and obey with all reverence, the good will of God, declared unto the world by Jesus Christ, whose omnipotent Spirit remain with you forever. Amen.
Give the glory to God alone.

2. Knox here refers to the Greater Litany of the church of Rome, containing invocation to saints, and ascribed by that church to Pope Gregory the First. Basnage, a divine of the reformed church, in his Ecclesiastical History, has noticed very fully the subject of the ancient litanies; and [he] states, that the earliest litanies now extant, which contain addresses to saints, were not written before the conclusion of the eighth or the beginning of the ninth century. The litanies, when regularly celebrated, were recited in Ascension week; persons walked in the processions barefooted and fasting. Such invocations were added to the earlier litanies in more corrupt times; and the names of saints to whom prayers for intercession were offered were frequently changed at different periods. The variety of formularies used in the church of Rome was a subject which came under the notice of the Council of Trent. The revision of the service book was committed to Pope Pius V; and the Roman Litany now contains direct invocations only to forty-three saints. 3. “Gregory, in the time of a common pestilence, ordained this service, called Litany, which is a Greek word, as much in English to say, as Supplication or Prayer.” (The Primer in English, 1808, sign. i, ij.) In this edition, the Litany contains eighty-three distinct invocations. [D.L.]
4. The historical event referred to by Knox is thus related by the earliest biographers of Pope Gregory I. In 590, Rome suffered very severely from an infectious distemper, when Gregory, not then installed in the popedom, preached a sermon, earnestly calling upon the people to repent. The conclusion is preserved in his works, and contains an exhortation to the people to unite publicly in supplication to God, appointing that they should meet at day-break in seven different companies, according to their several ages, sex, and stations, and walk in seven processions, reciting litanies or supplications, till they all met in one place. They did so, and proceeded singing and uttering the words, “Kyrie eleison,” or “Lord have mercy upon us.” In the space of one hour, while thus engaged, eighty persons fell to the ground, and breathed their last. (Vit. Gregor. a Jo. Diacon. xlii. et. seq. See also Fleury, liv. 35, § 1. Baron. Annal. 590, p. 6.) Baronius relates that Gregory caused an image of the virgin to be carried on this occasion. With regard to the persons who died while thus engaged, we may remember that the plague then raged fiercely, and doubtless many had assembled who were already infected by it. Let me mention here again that this article is not against any Roman Catholic personally but against the system of Roman Catholicism.

Roman Catholicism does not believe that the believing sinner is justified by the imputed righteousness of Christ alone. Roman Catholicism is the largest cult in the world. Their worship of God is not Biblical, the system of religion believe the following.
• Prayer for the dead and the sign of the cross
• Veneration of saints and angels
• Purgatory
• The sacrifice of the mass
• Transubstantiation
• The Infallibility of the Pope
• Mary worship
• Worship Of Saints And Angels
• Merits of Good Works
• Rome’s Perversion of the Ten Commandments
• The Relics of Romanism
• Image Worship
• Canonization of dead saints
• The celibacy of the priesthood
• The rosary, or prayer beads
I don’t know how a person can say they are not a cult. See what some of their top ‘saints’ say about the institution marriage which was ordained by God Himself:
“The Church is empowered by Christ to act as our interpreters and guides in matters relating to Holy Writ.”
Marriage is a sin. (St. Augustine)
Matrimony is impure and unholy, a means of sexual passion. (Origen)Marriage is a moral crime, more dreadful than any punishment or any
death…spurcitiae, obscenity, filth. (Tertullian)

Marriage is corruption, a polluted and foul way of life. (Tatian)
Marriage is a crime against God. Marriage is prostitution of the members of
Christ. Married people ought to blush at the state in which they are living.
(St. Ambrose)
The primary purpose of a man of God is to cut down the wood of marriage with the axe of virginity. (St. Jerome)

The warning of Jesus
The disciples asked Jesus a question. “What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?
Jesus replied, take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am Christ’, and will deceive many. (Matthew 24:3-5) Then again in verse 11, he said, “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.” Three times he said that one of the signs of his coming is deception, meaning to mislead and to trick people.

Another Christ on earth

Pope is called the Vicar of Christ. The word vicar means a substitute or filling the place of another. Pope has taken the position of Christ. Roman Catholic system declare the Pope is the ‘Head of the Church’ – Stolen from Christ, as Christ Jesus is the head of the church. Colossians 1:18. Roman Catholic system is against Christ it is an antichrist. The Greek word [anti] in scripture most nearly denotes something that is “in place of” another thing. The root meaning is, “instead of” or “in place of”. It is not the original but a substitution, not Christ but a substitute for Christ. Instead of Christ a false Christ an Antichrist.

When Pope Pius IX was Archbishop of Venice, he stated: ‘the pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, but he is Jesus Christ Himself, hidden under the veil of the flesh. Does the pope speak? It is Jesus Christ who speaks. Does the pope accord a favor or pronounce an anathema? It is Jesus Christ who accords the favor or pronounces that anathema. So that when the pope speaks we have no business to examine.

• Christ had a crown of thorns. The Pope wears a triple diadem.
• Christ washed the feet of his disciples. The Pope desire his feet to be kissed.
• Christ paid tribute. The Pope takes it.
• Christ fed the sheep. The Pope shears them for his own profit.
• Christ was poor. The Pope wishes to be master of the world.
• Christ carried on His shoulders the cross. The Pope is carried on the shoulders of his servants in liveries of gold.
• Christ despised riches. The Pope has no other passion than for gold.
• Christ drove out the merchants from the temple. The Pope welcomes them.
• Christ was meekness. The Pope is pride personified.
• Christ promulgated laws that the Pope tramples underfoot.
[Quoted by Jeremiah J. Crowley: Romanism. A Menace to the Nation. Aurora, Missouri, 1912, p. 205.]
Jesus said, many will come in my name saying, ‘I am Christ’ and deceive many.

Roman Catholicism received a deadly wound from the Protestant Reformation.

When you look at the past at the protestant Reformation, Martin Luther, John Calvin and the reformers called the Pope an antichrist. The Roman Catholic Church was called the mother of all harlots and the abominations of the earth. Roman Church persecuted and burned the true Christians. Rome dug up the bones of John Wycliffe and burned the bones. Rome burned John Hus, Savonarola. Roman Catholic burned over 300 Reformers men women and children in England. (1546). Rome burned William Tyndale. Rome could not stop the spreading of Protestant Christianity.
God in his mercy used Martin Luther in Germany, John Calvin in Geneva and John Knox in Scotland, Church of Rome was wounded by the power of the sword, God’s word during the reformation. , The Protestant reformation delivered us from the bondage of Rome. The reformers recovered the gospel that was lost in the darkness of Rome and set people free. Reformation brought a great light of the word of God to common people and beast of Roman Catholicism was deadly wounded by the sword of God which proceeded from the 16th century to 19th century. At the end of 19th century Rome lost its power almost entirely by the power of the sword. Many thought that was the end of the system of Roman Catholicism. But not so the deadly wound was healed. Now we see this great beast of Roman Catholicism, the mystery of iniquity resurrected again with power, this great harlot have deceived many Christian church leaders today we see as many are about to officially accept the pope as the head of Jesus Christ.
Rome replied with the counter reformation.
Rome came up with a counter reformation against Protestant Christianity. Pope Paul 111 in September of 1540 ordained Ignatius Loyola, a Spanish priest who was a Jesuit. The Jesuits (or, the Society of Jesus) are a Catholic order founded by the Spanish priest Ignatius Loyola. The mission of the Jesuits to have a “counter-reformation” by declaring war on the true Christian faith. Here below is a quotation of the Jesuit oath.
“I furthermore promise and declare that I will, when opportunity present, make and wage relentless war, secretly or openly, against all heretics, Protestants and Liberals.”

The Counter-Reformation was in full swing. Jesuit spies and agents began to infiltrate Protestant schools, and actually landed on the coast of the United States in the 1530’s and the 1540’s. In order to defend the Romanist religion, as well as the Pope (who Catholics are taught is actually “Christ on earth”), the Jesuits began their war plan for a battle on many fronts.
Now this time the Pope is not coming as a persecutor of Protestants but as a man of peace. Many leading Christian leaders see the Pope was not the old Pope of antichrist but a good moral leader, who was against abortion, homosexuality and put high moral values. The culture is corrupt so we must stand together to fight our common enemy to fight against corrupt culture.
Don’t Rock the Boat.
Today there prominent other Christian leaders who wants to be separate from the Roman Catholic church but how many are exposing the system of Roman Catholicism. Why is that many are silent would not speak. This bothered Martin Luther during his time. Luther asked this question.” I have heard divers worthy doctors affirm, that the church has long since stood in need of reformation; but no man was so bold as to assail popedom; for the pope had on his banner, Noli me tangere; therefore every man was silent. Dr. Staupitz said once to me: “If you meddle with popedom you will have the whole world against you;”
Charles Spurgeon said on Roman Catholicism, “We must fight the Lord’s battles against this giant error, whichever shape it takes; and so must we do with every error that pollutes the church. Slay it utterly; let none escape. “Fight the Lord’s battles.” Even though it is an error that is in the Evangelical Church, yet must we smite it. Also he said, “No peace with sin, no peace with falsehood. War, war, war without deliberation: war for ever with error and deceit!”
The Counter Reformation never ceased. The Jesuits have never given up their work. Today we see another strategy of the Counter Reformation and that is ecumenism. The leaders of the Ecumenism are Jesuits. From the protestant side the world counsel of Churches brought the ecumenism. In the beginning the evangelicals were opposed to the world counsel of churches even Billy Graham said this was the work of the devil but later he reversed himself and became a supporter of the world counsel of churches. Today there are many churches and mission organizations under the banner of ecumenism.
Prominent Evangelical Protestants and Roman Catholics have joined together in signing a document with the Roman Catholic leaders, called ECT. (Evangelicals and Catholics Together) The 25-page document, originated by Chuck Colson and Catholic social critic Richard John Neuhaus, was signed by 40 noted evangelical and Catholic leaders including Pat Robertson, heads of the Home Mission Board and Christian Life Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, Bill Bright – founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, Mark Noll of Wheaton University, Os Guinness, Jesse Miranda (Assemblies of God), Richard Mauw (President, Fuller Seminary), J.I. Packer and Herbert Schlossberg.
These Protestant Christian leaders embraced the leadership of the Pope as things have changed. These Christian leaders had given priority to cultural values than doctrine. I may shock many of you but I will tell the truth as it is as I will expose some of their names. Graham said, ‘The three greatest menaces faced by orthodox Christianity are Communism, Roman Catholicism and Mohamedanism’. (Plains Baptist Challenger, July 1977).

Then in 1963 he said, “I admire Pope John [XXIII] tremendously. I felt he brought a new era to the world” Chicago Tribune, June 8, 1963
In 1980 he wrote an article, which appeared in the Saturday Evening Post (Jan.-Feb. 1980). He said: “Pope John Paul II is one of the greatest moral and spiritual leaders of this century. He is an evangelist.”

After 26 years of serving as the head of the Catholic Church, Pope John Paul II was influential in tearing down Communism and Protestant-Catholic relations. And many more Protestant leaders began to hold hands with the Pope.

James Dobson
When Pope John Paul II died, James Dobson said the following.
“Today’s passing of Pope John Paul II is an immeasurable loss – not only to our friends of the Roman Catholic faith, but to the entire world. We found common cause with him and with the ‘culture of life’ he espoused so eloquently; the legacy he left us is to be cherished.”
This was the headlines of Baptist Press when Pope John Paul II died.
Pope John Paul II, champion of pro-life and pro-family causes, dies at the age of 84
R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. Said “Pope John Paul II will go down in history as one of the most significant leaders of our time,” and he said, “Conservative evangelicals will long remember this pope as a man who had the courage to confront communism and to call it what it was, at great personal risk.”
Chuck Colson in his radio program Breakpoint said, “I met with the Pope twice—once when Jim Dobson and I were invited as the first evangelicals to speak in the Synod Hall in the Vatican. I was struck by the intensity of his blue eyes and the glow he seemed to have about him. He was an extraordinary human being—and I say that as a devout Southern Baptist.”
Speaking of the New Pope, Pope Benedict XVI, Norman Geisler, president of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, N.C said, “”Relativism, pluralism and naturalism are the three main foes of evangelicalism today and they’re the main foes of conservative Roman Catholics,” Also he said, “”We rejoice in the choice because he’s going to hold the line and he’s not going to allow the liberal element in the Catholic Church to reverse any of those things.”
Christianity Today said of the Pope John Paul II, “World Remembers the Pope as a Man of Peace.”
“A great religious figure who devoted his life to defending the values of peace, freedom, justice and equality for all races and religions.”
Many evangelicals are saying we are not living in the days of Old Roman Catholicism, where the Roman Catholic Popes persecuted the Christians but we are living in the days where Pope is having peace with the protestant Christians. The times have changed as Catholics and Protestants stand together against their common enemy the social problem that is coming against our families.
Do you see the great deception? The deception is that it does not matter what the pope believe in his doctrine/teachings what it matters is when it comes to family values he holds to the same moral values. So who cares about doctrine and theology dump them, the most important is not doctrine but moral values. If this is the case then who cares about Mormons as they are nice people who have high good moral values, certainly the Buddhists have good moral values, yes dump the theology and embrace all who have good moral values. Don’t all religions have good moral values anyway? Yes. This is the greatest deception of all time.
Ho 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Am 2:4 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked.
Be Separate Says the Lord.
Ex 23:32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
Isa 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
“Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
Unveiling the Great Deception.
Mt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
A wolf in sheep clothing is very deceptive. Satan is the archenemy of God; he has a program and a plan. He will come against the works of God. He will do this by deception. He will come like the good guy, he will come with the Bible, and he has many hats to ware according to the situation.
2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
The only way to unveil the sheep clothing is by doctrine. Let us tear apart the sheep clothing and you will see a wolf. Counsel of Trent produced the Roman Catholic Theology. Doctrine brings division.
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Lu 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division.

“If anyone does not accept as sacred and canonical the aforesaid books in their entirety and with all their parts [the 66 books of the Bible plus 12 apocryphal books, being two of Paralipomenon, two of Esdras, Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, Sophonias, two of Macabees], as they have been accustomed to be read in the Catholic Church and as they are contained in the old Latin Vulgate Edition, and knowingly and deliberately rejects the aforesaid traditions, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA.”

Scripture says:
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” -2 Timothy 3:16-17.

“Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints” -Jude 3.

“But know this first of all, that (N)no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” -2 Peter 1:20-21.

SSIXTH SESSION, CANONS CONCERNING JUSTIFICATION: “If anyone says that justifying faith is nothing else than confidence in divine mercy, which remits sins for Christ’s sake, or that it is this confidence alone that justifies us, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning Justification, Canon 12).

Sscripture says:
“because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where then is boasting? It is excluded By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law” -Romans 3:20-29

SIXTH SESSION, CANONS CONCERNING JUSTIFICATION: “If anyone says that the justice received is not preserved and also not increased before God through good works, but that those works are merely the fruits and signs of justification obtained, but not the cause of its increase, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning Justification, Canon 24).

Scripture says:
“For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.” Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE SINS HAVE BEEN COVERED. “BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOSE SIN THE LORD WILL NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT” -Romans 4:2-8.

“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” -2 Corinthians 5:21

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” -Romans 5:1

Explanatory Note: (We are not justified by an infused righteousness that we obtain by papal authority having merit from The Treasury of Merit imputed to us from Mary, saints, the Pope himself or through indulgences, so that we can freed from Purgatory cleansing for sins that we committed. Justification is a forensic, legal declaration; but even more importantly, it is being clothed with the perfect of righteousness of Christ through faith. Christ on the cross was treated as if He lived my life-my sin was imputed to Him though He is holy, sinless; so that I could be treated as if I lived His life-His righteousness is imputed to me though I am a sinner and by nature a child of wrath worthy only to spend eternity in an everlasting hell (Ephesians 2:1-3). My own righteousness, even religious good works obtained under papal decree, is nothing but filthy rags before a holy God (Isaiah 64:6). Faith is the instrument by which this becomes a reality–and even that faith is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9.)

SIXTH SESSION, CANONS CONCERNING JUSTIFICATION: “If anyone says that the Catholic doctrine of justification as set forth by the holy council in the present decree, derogates in some respect from the glory of God or the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ, and does not rather illustrate the truth of our faith and no less the glory of God and of Christ Jesus, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning Justification, Canon 33).

Scripture says:
“I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! -Galatians 1:6-9

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS’ -Matthew 7:21-24

“For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away” -Isaiah 64:6

“for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh, although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more: circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless. But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith” -Philippians 3:3-9

SEVENTH SESSION, CANONS ON BAPTISM: “If anyone says that in the Roman Church, which is the mother and mistress of all churches, there is not the true doctrine concerning the sacrament of baptism, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Baptism, Canon 3).

Scripture says:
“and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions” -Colossians 2:11-13

SEVENTH SESSION, CANONS ON BAPTISM: “If anyone says that baptism is optional, that is, not necessary for salvation, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Baptism, Canon 5).

Scripture says:
“who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you–) not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience–through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him” -1 Peter 3:20-22

Explanatory Note: (The fluid has no saving power nor does the act of being baptized. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone; it is not of works lest any man should boast. If baptism was necessary for salvation and a sacramental means of grace as Trent claims, why does the Apostle John say that the Lord baptized no one (cf, John 4:1-2)? And the same was said of Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:14-16. Furthermore Paul lucidly says, “Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void.” If baptism is part of the gospel by Rome’s canon, why does the Apostle Paul definitely claim the exact opposite under divine inspiration? Listen, no ordinance or sacrament of any church, Pope or council can add one thing to the once for all sacrifice and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ the Righteous for our salvation.)

SEVENTH SESSION, CANONS ON BAPTISM: “If anyone says that children, because they have not the act of believing, are not after having received baptism to be numbered among the faithful, and that for this reason are to be re-baptized when they have reached the years of discretion; or that it is better that the baptism of such be omitted than that, while not believing by their own act, they should be baptized in the faith of the Church alone, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Baptism, Canon 13).

Scripture says:
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ–this Jesus whom you crucified.” Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?” Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” -Acts 2:36-38

“Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life” -Romans 6:4

“If anyone says that the confirmation of those baptized is an empty ceremony and not a true and proper sacrament; or that of old it was nothing more than a sort of instruction, whereby those approaching adolescence gave an account of their faith to the Church, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Confirmation, Canon 1).

Scripture says:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight” -Ephesians 1:3-8

“If anyone denies that in the sacrament of the most Holy Eucharist are contained truly, really and substantially the body and blood together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and consequently the whole Christ, but says that He is in it only as in a sign, or figure or force, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist, Canon 1).

Scripture says:
“While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins -Matthew 26:26-28

Explanatory Note: (This was only a symbol–not our Lord’s literal body.)

“If anyone says that Christ received in the Eucharist is received spiritually only and not also sacramentally and really, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist, Canon 8).

Scripture says:
“In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep. -1 Corinthians 11:25-30

Explanatory Note: (It is received as an outward symbol only of the finished work of Christ on the cross. The bread and wine have no inherent power in themselves and do not become the literal body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. This would suggest that the Lord’s sacrifice on the cross was not sufficient and that a continual “bloody” sacrifice through the mass is necessary for salvation; making communion a work.)

FOURTEENTH SESSION, CANONS CONCERNING THE MOST HOLY SACRAMENT OF PENANCE: “If anyone says that in the Catholic Church penance is not truly and properly a sacrament instituted by Christ the Lord for reconciling the faithful of God as often as they fall into sin after baptism, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning the Most Holy Sacrament of Penance, Canon 1).

Scripture says:
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus” -Titus 3:11-13

“I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death” -2 Corinthians 7:9-10

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received (I)the reconciliation” -Romans 5:8-11

Explanatory Note: (It is the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, God’s gift of repentance, and His daily sanctifying grace in our lives that conforms us to Christ likeness. There is no other sacrifice or penance needed for our sins–it was all accomplished in Christ alone. All of our sins, their guilt and penalty, and the wrath of God which burns against us and our sin was completely satisfied in the once for all sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and secured by His bodily resurrection from the dead. There is no other penance needed or required by God. To suggest otherwise is to say that Christ’s sacrificial work is not enough, “it is finished” as our Lord cried from Calvary is a lie, it turns the grace of God into lasciviousness and perverts the gospel of grace of our Lord. That is nothing less than a hellish, satanic deception.)

“If anyone denies that sacramental confession was instituted by divine law or is necessary to salvation; or says that the manner of confessing secretly to a priest alone, which the Catholic Church has always observed from the beginning and still observes, is at variance with the institution and command of Christ and is a human contrivance, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning the Most Holy Sacrament of Penance, Canon 7).

Scripture says:
“Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people” -Hebrews 2:17

“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin” -Hebrews 4:15

“By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET. For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified” -Hebrews 10:10-14

Explanatory Note: (We have been thoroughly and completely sanctified, made holy and set apart from this world unto eternal life by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. He alone is our only priest, our High Priest, not like the unholy, fallible, sinful priests of earth. We are complete in Christ alone.)

“If anyone says that the confession of all sins as it is observed in the Church is impossible and is a human tradition to be abolished by pious people; or that each and all of the faithful of Christ or either sex are not bound thereto once a year in accordance with the constitution of the great Lateran Council, and that for this reason the faithful of Christ are to be persuaded not to confess during Lent, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning the Most Holy Sacrament of Penance, Canon 8).

SScripture says:
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” -1 John 1:9

“How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which He [Jesus Christ the Lord] was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?” -HHebrews 10:29

Explanatory Note: (Confess means “to agree with.” When we confess our sins to the Lord, we are agreeing with Him that what we have done is sin, sin against Him, and He cleanses us from all unrighteousness. No Pope, Cardinal, Bishop, or Parish Priest can forgive sin, issue absolution, or cleanse our sinful unclean heart.)

“If anyone says that God always pardons the whole penalty together with the guilt and that the satisfaction of penitents is nothing else than the faith by which they perceive that Christ has satisfied for them, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning the Most Holy Sacrament of Penance, Canon 8).

Scripture says:
“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned–for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many. The gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned; for on the one hand the judgment arose from one transgression resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the free gift arose from many transgressions resulting in justification. For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men” -Romans 5:12-18

“If anyone says that in the mass a true and real sacrifice is not offered to God; or that to be offered is nothing else than that Christ is given to us to eat, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 1).

Scripture says:
“For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God” -Romans 6:10

“who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself” -Hebrews 7:27

“and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption” -Hebrews 9:12

“By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” -Hebrews 10:10

“For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit” -1 Peter 3:18

A Vindication of the Doctrine
that the Sacrifice of the Mass is Idolatry

Extracted from: Selected Writings of John Knox: Public Epistles, Treatises, and Expositions to the Year 1559
“When Knox was released from his imprisonment on board the French gallies in 1549, he proceeded to England, and was received by the Protestants with much joy. Cranmer and his associates in promoting the Reformation, having stationed several pious and zealous preachers to itinerate in different parts of the kingdom, sent Knox to Berwick, where he laboured for nearly two years with much success. His preaching was very disagreeable to the clergy of that country, who were almost entirely bigoted Romanists, and were countenanced by Tonstall, bishop of Durham, a Papist in his heart, and who opposed the Reformation as far as he could with safety, till he was deprived of his see in 1553.
“A charge was brought by these ecclesiastics against Knox for teaching that the service of the Mass was idolatrous, and the reformer was summoned to appear before the council of the North, which directed public affairs in that district. Bishop Tonstall and several of his clergy were also present, not being suffered by the Protestant counsellors to proceed against Knox according to the usual practice of the church of Rome. Knox being permitted to declare his mind fully and freely, made a most able and impressive defence, which completely silenced the Romish prelate and his clergy. He was allowed to continue his labours; in the following year he was stationed at Newcastle, and in December, 1551, received a further mark of approval of the government, being appointed one of King Edward’s chaplains in ordinary.” [Introductory note in the British Reformers edition of Writings of John Knox (Philadelphia, 1842), p. 154.]
In exposing the idolatrous nature of the Mass, Knox stresses that all religious ceremonies and institutions must have clear biblical warrant, if they are to be admitted as valid expressions of worship. All worship invented by man is idolatry. Knox demonstrates that the Mass is a human invention; and, therefore, the Mass is idolatrous. The entire discussion turns upon Knox’s defence of the scriptural law of worship.
A Vindication of the Doctrine
that the Sacrifice of the Mass is Idolatry
The fourth of April, in the year 1550, was appointed to John Knox, preacher of the holy evangel of Jesus Christ, to give his confession why he affirmed the Mass [to be] idolatry: which day, in [the] presence of the council and congregation (amongst whom were also present the bishop of Durham and his doctors), on this manner he began:
This day I do appear in your presence, honourable audience, to give a reason why so constantly I do affirm the Mass to be, and at all times to have been, idolatry and abomination before God. And because men of great erudition in your audience affirmed the contrary, most gladly would I that they were present here, either in person, or else by their learned men, to ponder and weigh the causes moving me thereto. For unless I evidently prove my intent by God’s holy scriptures, I will recant it as wicked doctrine, and confess myself most worthy of grievous punishment.
How difficult it is to pull forth of the hearts of the people the thing wherein [their] opinion of holiness stands, declares the great tumult and uproar moved against Paul by Demetrius and his fellows, who, by idolatry, got great advantage, as our priests have done by the Mass in time past. The people, I say, hearing that the honour of their great goddess Diana stood in jeopardy, with furious voices cried, “Great is Diana of the Ephesians” (Acts 19:23-41). As [if] they would say, “We will not have the magnificence of our great goddess Diana (whom not only Asia but the whole world worships) called into doubt, come into question or controversy. Away with all men intending that impiety.” And hereunto they were moved by long custom and false opinion.
I know that in the Mass has not only been esteemed great holiness and honouring of God, but also the ground and foundation of our religion. So that, in the opinion of many, [if] the Mass [is] taken away, there rests no true worshipping nor honouring of God in the earth. The deeper it has pierced the hearts of men, it occupies the place of the last and mystical Supper of our Lord Jesus. But if I shall, by plain and evident scriptures, prove the Mass (in her most honest garment) to have been idolatry before God, and blasphemous to the death and passion of Christ, and contrary to the Supper of Jesus Christ; then good hope have I, honourable audience and beloved brethren, that the fear, love, and obedience of God, who in his scriptures has spoken all verity [truth] necessary for our salvation, will have you give place to the same.
“O Lord eternal! move and govern my tongue to speak the verity, and the hearts of thy people to understand and obey the same.”
That you may better perceive and understand the manner of my doctrine in this my confession: first, I will collect and gather the sum thereof in a brief and short syllogism; and hereafter explain the same more largely.
The Mass is Idolatry. All worshipping, honouring, or service invented by the brain of man in the religion of God, without his own express commandment, is idolatry. The Mass is invented by the brain of man, without any commandment of God; therefore it is idolatry.
[Part One: All Worship
Invented by Man is Idolatry]
[I.] For probation of the first part, I will adduce none of the Gentiles’ sacrifices, in which, notwithstanding, was less abomination than has been in the Mass; but of God’s scriptures I will bring forth the witnesses of my words. And first, let us hear Samuel speaking unto Saul, after he had sacrificed unto the Lord upon Mt. Gilgal, what time his enemies approached against him. “Thou art become foolish,” says Samuel, “thou hast not observed the precepts of the Lord, which he commanded thee. Truly the Lord had prepared to have established this kingdom above Israel for ever; but now thy kingdom shall not be sure” (1 Sam. 13).
Let us consider what was the offence committed by Saul. His enemies approaching, and he considering that the people declined from him, and that he had not consulted with the Lord, nor offered sacrifice for pacification of the Lord’s wrath ¬ by reason that Samuel (the principal prophet and high priest) was not present ¬ [Saul] himself offered burnt and peace offerings.
Here is the ground of all his iniquity, and of this proceeds the cause of his dejection from the kingdom: that he would honour God otherwise than was commanded by his express word. For he [Saul], being none of the tribe of Levi (appointed by God’s commandment to make sacrifice), usurps that office not due to him, which was most high abomination before God, as by the punishment appears.
Consider well that no excuses are admitted by God: [such] as that his enemies approached, and his own people departed from him; he could not have a lawful minister, and gladly would have been reconciled to God, and consulted with him of the end and chance of that journey; and therefore he, the king, anointed by God’s commandment, makes sacrifice. But none of all these [excuses] were admitted by God; but Saul was pronounced foolish and vain. For no honouring knows God, nor will [he] accept, without it having the express commandment of his own word to be done in all points. And no commandment was given unto the king to make or offer unto God any manner of sacrifice: which, because he took upon him to do, he and his posterity were deprived from all honours in Israel.
[2.] Neither availed his preeminence, the necessity wherein he stood, nor yet his good intent. But let us hear more. When commandment was given unto Saul by Samuel, in God’s name, to destroy Amalek (1 Sam. 15), because that sometime they troubled the people of Israel passing up from Egypt [cf. Ex. 17:8-16] (advert, you that presently persecute the people of God; albeit your pains be deferred, yet they are already prepared of God), this people Amalek were not immediately punished after the violence done against Israel (Deut. 25:17-19). But long after, they were commanded to be destroyed by Saul: man, woman, infant, suckling, oxen, cattle, camels, and asses ¬ and finally, all that lived in that land.
Terrible should be the remembrance hereof to all such as trouble or molest such as would follow the commandment and vocation [calling] of God, leaving spiritual Egypt (the kingdom of Antichrist) and the abomination thereof. But Saul saved the king (named Agag) and permitted the people to save the best and fattest of the beasts, to the intent sacrifice should be made thereof unto God. But let us hear how this is accepted. Samuel before admonished [Saul] of his disobedience; [and] coming unto Saul asked, what voice was it which he heard? The king answers, “The people hath saved the fattest and best beasts thereof to make sacrifice unto their God.” Here [it] may be marked, that Saul had no sure confidence in God; for he speaks as though God appertains nothing unto him. Samuel answers, “Suffer and I shall declare unto thee what the Lord hath spoken unto me this night.” And shortly he rebuked him most sharply that he had not obeyed the voice of the Lord.
But Saul, standing in [the] opinion that he had not offended because he did all of good intent, says, “I have obeyed the Lord’s voice: I have destroyed the sinners of Amalek, and I have saved only the king; and the people have reserved certain beasts to be offered unto God.” And so he defended his own work to be just and righteous. But thereto answers Samuel, “Delighteth God in burnt offering, and not rather that his voice be obeyed?” The sin of witchcraft is not to obey his voice, and to be stubborn is the sin of idolatry. As [if] Samuel would say: “There is nothing that God more requires of man than obedience to the commandment; yea, he prefers obedience to the selfsame sacrifice ordained by himself, and no sin is more odious in God’s presence than to disobey his voice; for God esteems that so odious that he does compare it to the two sins most abominable, incantation and idolatry ¬ so that disobedience to his voice is very idolatry.”
Disobedience to God’s voice is not only when man does wickedly contrary to the precepts of God, but also when of good zeal, or good intent (as we commonly speak), man does anything to the honour or service of God not commanded by the express word of God, as in the matter plainly may be espied. For Saul transgressed not wickedly in murder, adultery, or like external sins, but saved one aged and impotent king (which thing who would not call a good deed of mercy?); and permitted the people, as is said, to save certain beasts to be offered unto the Lord ¬ think ing that God should therewith stand content and appeased, because he and the people did it of good intent. [1]But both these Samuel called idolatry: first, because they were done without any commandment of God; and, secondly, because in doing thereof he thought himself not to have offended. And that is principal idolatry when our own inventions we defend to be righteous in the sight of God, because we think them good, laudable, and pleasant. We may not think us so free nor wise, that we may do unto God, and unto his honour, what we think expedient. No! the contrary is commanded by God, saying, “Unto my word shall ye add nothing; nothing shall ye diminish therefrom, that ye might observe the precepts of your Lord God” (Deut. 4:2); which words are not to be understood of the Decalogue and moral law only, but of statutes, rites, and ceremonies; for equal obedience of all his laws requires God.
3. And in witness thereof, Nadab and Abihu offered strange fire, whereof God had given unto them no charge, [and] were instantly (as they offered) punished to death by fire (Lev. 10:1-3). Strange fire which they offered unto God was a common fire, and not of that fire which God had commanded to burn day and night upon the altar of burnt sacrifice, which only ought to have been offered unto God.
O bishops! you should have kept this fire: at morning and at evening ought you to have laid fagots thereupon; yourselves ought to have cleansed and carried away the ashes; but God shall behold.
In punishment of these two aforesaid is to be observed, that Nadab and Abihu were the principal priests next to Aaron, their father; and that they were comprehended neither in adultery, covetousness, nor desire of worldly honour, but of a good zeal and simple intent were making sacrifice ¬ desiring no profit of the people thereby, but to honour God and to mitigate his wrath. And yet in the doing of this selfsame act and sacrifice were they consumed away with fire. Whereof it is plain, that neither the preeminence of the person or man that makes or sets up any religion, without the express commandment of God, nor yet the intent whereof he does the same, is accepted before God. For nothing in his religion will he [God] admit without his own word; but all that is added thereto does he abhor, and punishes the inventors and doers thereof, as you have heard in Nadab and Abihu; by Gideon and diverse other Israelites setting up something to honour God (Judges 8:24-27), whereof they had no express commandment.
4. A story, which is recited in the Pope’s Chronicles, will I recite, which differs nothing from the punishment of Nadab, etc. Gregorius Magnus, in the time of the most contagious pestilence wherewith God punished the iniquity of Rome (for now was the wicked hour that Antichrist sprang up and sat in authority); in this time, I say, Gregory the pope devised a new honouring of God, the invocation of saints called the Litany,[2] whereof in the scriptures neither is there authority nor commandment. Upon which sacrilege and idolatry God declared his wrath, even as he did upon Nadab and Abihu. For in the instant hour when first the Litany[3] was recited in open procession (as they call it), four score of the principal men that recited the same were stricken horribly with the plague of God to death, all in one hour. The Papists attribute this to the contagious air and vehemence of the plague;[4]but it was no other thing but a manifest declaration of God’s wrath for inventing and bringing into the church a false and diabolical religion. For while we desire saints to make intercession and to pray for us, [by] what other thing do we then esteem the advocacy of Jesus Christ not to be sufficient for us? And what can be more devilish?
Of these precedents, it is plain that no man in earth has power nor authority to statute anything to the honour of God not commanded by his own word.
[5]5. It profits nothing to say the kirk has power to set up, devise, or invent honouring of God, as it thinks most expedient for the glory of God. This is the continual crying of the Papists, “The kirk, the kirk has all power; it cannot err, for Christ says, ‘I will be with you to the end of the world.’ ‘Wheresoever are two or three gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.'”Of this they falsely conclude the kirk may do all that seems good for the glory of God; and whatsoever the church does, that God accepts and approves.
6. I could evidently prove that which they call the kirk, not to be the kirk and immaculate spouse of Jesus Christ, which does not err. But presently I ask, if the kirk of God be bound to this perpetual precept? “Not that thing which appeareth righteous in your own eyes, that shall you do, but what God hath commanded, that observe and keep” (cf. Deut. 12:8, 31-32). And if they will deny [this], I desire to be certified [notified] who has abrogated and made the same of none effect? In my judgment, Jesus Christ confirms the same, saying, “My sheep hear my voice, and a stranger they will not hear, but flee from him” (John 10:5). To hear his voice (which is also the voice of God the Father) is to understand and obey the same; and to flee from a stranger is to admit none other doctrine, worshipping, nor honouring of God than has proceeded forth of his own mouth ¬ as he himself testifies, saying, “All that are of the verity [truth], hear my voice” (John 18:37). And Paul says, “The kirk is founded upon the foundation of the prophets and apostles” (Eph. 2:20): which foundation, no doubt, is the law and the evangel. So that it [the church] may command nothing that is not contained in one of the two; for if it does so, it is removed from the only foundation, and so ceases to be the true kirk of Christ.
7. Secondly, I would ask if Jesus Christ is not King and Head of his kirk? This will no man deny. If he is King, then he must do the office of a king; which is not only to guide, rule, and defend his subjects, but also to make and statute laws, which laws only are his subjects bound to obey, and not the laws of any foreign princes. Then it becomes the kirk of Jesus Christ to advert [heed] what he speaks, to receive and embrace his laws; and where he makes end of speaking or law-giving, here to rest; so that all the power of the kirk is subject to God’s word. And that is most evident by the commandment given of God unto Joshua, his chosen captain and leader of his people, in these words, “Be strong and valiant that they may do according to the holy law, which my servant Moses commanded unto thee. Decline not from it, neither to the right hand nor to the left,” etc. (Josh. 1:7-8). “Let not the book of the law depart from thy mouth, but meditate in it both day and night that you may keep and do, in all things, according to that which is written therein,” etc. Here was it not permitted to Joshua to alter one jot, ceremony, or statute in all the law of God, nor yet to add thereunto, but diligently to observe that which was commanded. No less obedience requires God of us than he did of Joshua, his servant. For he will have the religion ordained by his only Son, Jesus Christ, most straightly observed, and not violated in any part.
8. For that I find given in charge to the congregation of Thyatira in these words: “I say unto you, and unto the rest that are in Thyatira, who hath not the doctrine (meaning of the diabolical doctrine before rehearsed), and who that knoweth not the deepness of Satan; I will put upon you none other burden but that which ye have. Hold till I come” (Rev. 2:24-25). Mark well, the Spirit of God calls all which is added to Christ’s religion, the doctrine of the devil, and deep invention of the the adversary Satan. As also Paul, writing to Timothy (1 Tim. 4:1-3). And Jesus Christ says, “I will lay upon you none other burden than I have already; and that which ye have, observe diligently” (Rev. 2:24-25).
“O God eternal! hast thou laid none other burden upon our backs than Jesus Christ laid by his word? Then who hath burdened us with all these ceremonies, prescribed fasting, compelled chastity, unlawful vows, invocation of saints, and with the idolatry of the Mass?” The devil! the devil! brethren, invented all these burdens to depress imprudent men to perdition!
9. Paul, writing of the Lord’s Supper, says, Ego accepi a Domino quod et tradidi vobis: “I have received and learned of the Lord that which I have taught to you” (1 Cor. 11:23). And consider if one ceremony he added or permitted to be used, other than Christ did use himself; but commanded them to use with reverence the Lord’s institution until his returning to judgment.
10. Albeit Moses was replenished with the Spirit of wisdom, and was more familiar with God than ever was any mortal man; yet was there not of all the ceremonies [any] referred to his wisdom one jot. But all was commanded to him, to be made according to the similitude shown unto him (Ex. 25:9), and according as the word expresses. Of the which precedents I think it is plain, that all which is added to the religion of God, without his own express word, is idolatry.
[6]11. Yet I must answer to one objection, objected by the Papists; for never may they abide to be subject unto God’s word. The apostles (say they), in the council held at Jerusalem, set up a religion, and made laws whereof no jot was contained in God’s word; therefore the kirk may do the same.
That there was any religion (that is, honouring of God, whereby they might merit, as you call it, anything before God) invented in that council, you never are able to prove. [7]Precepts were given, but neither such, nor to that intent that you allege. All precepts given in that council had the commandment of God, as after shall be heard.
[8]First, let us hear the cause of the council. Paul and Barnabas had taught amongst the Gentiles that only faith in Christ’s blood justifies; and a great multitude of Gentiles by their doctrine embraced Jesus Christ, and by him truly worshipped God. Unto Antioch from Judea came certain false teachers, affirming that unless they were circumcised according to Moses’ law, they could not be saved (Acts 15:1-35): as our Papists say this day, that true faith in Christ’s blood is not sufficient purgation for our sins, unless also we buy their mumbled Masses.[9]This controversy troubled the hearts and consciences of the brethren, insomuch that Paul and Barnabas were compelled to go to Jerusalem unto Peter and James, and others, I think, of the apostles; where, a convention had, the question was propounded: whether the Gentiles should be subject to the observation of Moses’ law or not? That is, whether only faith in Jesus Christ did justify, or necessary was also to justification the law observed.
After great contention, Peter expounded how the house of [10]Cornelius, being all Gentiles, had, by his preaching, received Jesus Christ, and were declared in his presence just and righteous before God. For they did receive the Holy Ghost visibly, not only without the observation of Moses’ law, but also before they had received any sacramental sign of Christ’s religion. Peter concludes that to put a yoke upon the brethren’s necks, which yoke might none of the Jews bear themselves, was nothing but to tempt God: that is, to prove if God would be pleased with such laws and ordinances as they would lay upon the necks of men, without his own word, which was most extreme impiety. [11]And so he concluded that the Gentiles ought not to be burdened with the law.
Hereafter, Paul and Barnabas declared what wondrous works God had shown by them amongst the Gentiles, who never observed Moses’ law. And last, James, who appears to me principal in that council (for he collects the scriptures and pronounces the final sentence, as you shall hear plainly), declares that the vocation [calling] of the Gentiles was prophesied before, and that they should be accepted and accounted to be the people of God without observation of Moses’ law ¬ adding that no man ought to inquire a cause of God’s work. And so he pronounces the sentence, that their liberty should not be diminished.
Advert now the cause, the process, and the determination of this council. The cause was to inquire the verity [truth] of certain doctrine: that is, whether the Gentiles should be charged with the observation of Moses’ law, as was affirmed and taught by some. In this matter they proceeded by example of God’s works, finding that his gracious Majesty had accepted the Gentiles, without any thralldom or ceremony observed. Last, the scriptures are produced, declaring so to be forespoken; and according to all that is concluded and defined, that the Gentiles shall not be burdened with the law.
[12]What congruence, I pray you, has the Antichrist’s councils with this council of the apostles? The apostles gathered to consult upon the verity. The papistical councils are gathered for private commodity, setting up of idolatry, and all abomination, as their determinations manifestly prove. The apostles proceeded in their council by consideration of God’s works and applying of them to the present cause, whereupon deliberation was to be taken and determined as God’s scriptures command. But the Papists, in their councils, proceed according as their wisdom and foolish brain thinks good and expedient; and concluding not only without authority of God’s scriptures, but also manifestly contrary to the same. And that I offer myself most clearly to prove, if any would deny or allege that it is not so.
[13]But yet, they say, the apostles commanded the Gentiles to abstain from certain things, whereof they had no commandment of God. Let us hear the things inhibited: “Ye shall abstain (says the epistle sent to Antioch) from fornication” (Acts 15:29). This is the commandment of God. So, although the Gentiles esteemed it to be no sin, yet it is expressly forbidden in God’s law.
But it follows, “From things offered unto idols, from [things] strangled, and from blood shall ye abstain.” If the causes moving the apostles to forbid these things be well considered, it shall be found that they had the express commandment of Jesus Christ to do so. The Spirit of truth and knowledge, working in the apostles with all abundance, showed them that nothing was more profitable, and more might advance the glory of God, and increase the kirk of Christ, than that the Jews and Gentiles should use together in familiarity and daily conversation, that by mutual company, love might increase. One thing was easy to be espied: the Jews could not hastily be persuaded that the eating of meats forbidden in Moses’ law was no sin before God. For difficult it is to pull forth of the heart that which is planted by God’s own word; so the Jews would have abhorred the company of the Gentiles if they had eaten in their presence such meat as was forbidden in the law. The apostles considered that the abstaining from such things was nothing prejudicial to the liberty of Christians; for with time, and as the Jews grew more strong and were better instructed, they would not be offended for such matters. And therefore they commanded the Gentiles to abstain for a time. For that it was not a perpetual precept declares this day, when no man holds the eating of such things sin.
But what precept had they to do so? The last and new precept given by Jesus Christ to his disciples [is], “that every one love one another, as he hath loved us” (John 15:12). May not Christian love command that none of us do in the sight of others that which may offend or trouble the conscience of the infirm and weak? So witnesses Paul, affirming, “that if a man eat with offence he sinneth” (1 Cor. 10:32). And by virtue of this same precept, the apostles forbid that the Gentiles shall eat things offered unto idols, etc., that bearing some part with the infirmity of the Jews, they might grow together in mutual amity and Christian love. And these are the traditions of the seniors [elders] which Paul commanded to be observed. I pray you, what similitudes have our papistical laws with this precept of the apostles?
[14]But greatly it is to be marvelled that men do not advert that the book of God’s law (that is, of all his ordinances, testament, promises, and exhibition thereof) was sealed and confirmed in the days of the apostles: the effect and contents thereof promulgated and published; so that most extreme impiety it is to make any alteration therein. Yea, and the wrath and fearful malediction of God is denounced to fall upon all them that dare attempt to add or diminish anything in his religion, confirmed and proclaimed by his own voice.
O Papists! where shall you hide from the presence of the Lord? You have perverted his law; you have taken away his ordinances; you have placed up your own statutes instead of his. Woe and damnation abide you! Albeit that the apostles had made laws other than the express word commanded, what appertains that to you? Have you the Spirit of truth and knowledge in abundance as they had? Was the kirk of Christ left imperfect after the apostles’ days? Bring yourselves to mind, and be ashamed of your vanity. For all men, whose eyes Satan has not blinded, may espy that neither wisdom nor authority of man may change or set up anything in the religion of God, without his own express commandment and word.
And thus, I think, the first part of my argument sufficiently proved: which is, that all worshipping, honouring, or service of God invented by the brain of man (in the religion of God), without his own express commandment, is idolatry.
[Part Two: The Mass is an Invention of Man]
But in vain, some will think, that all this labour I have taken; for no man of whole judgment any part of this would half deny. Nor yet does it prove anything of my intent; for the Mass is not the invention of man, but the very ordinance of God. Then I descend to prove the Mass to be the mere invention of man, set up without all commandment of God.
And first, of this name Missa, which we call the Mass, I would ask at such as would defend that papistical abomination: “Of what spirit is it invented that Missa shall signify a sacrifice for the sins of the quick and the dead?” Of the Spirit of God? Or of the spirit of man? Or of what origin is it descended?” Some will answer, from the Hebrew diction, Missah, which, after some, does signify an oblation or a gift ¬ like as tribute which the inferior offers or pays to the superior. In the Hebrew tongue I confess myself ignorant, but have (as God knows) fervent thirst to have some entrance therein: and so of the Hebrew diction cannot contend. But men of great judgment in the same tongue say that nowhere in [the] scriptures [does] Missa betoken an oblation. But admitting that it did so, what shall they be able to prove thereby? My question is, if the Spirit of God has invented and pronounced this diction Missa to signify a sacrifice for the sins of the quick and the dead. Which if they be not able to prove, then must they needs confess that it is of man’s invention, and not of God’s imposition. I could give unto them a more apparent cause and derivation of that diction, Missa; but of the name I am not greatly solicitous.
Secondly, I desire to be certified what they call their Mass ¬ whether [it is] the whole action, with all ceremonies used now of old, or a part thereof? It will not satisfy the hearts of all [the] godly to say, “St. James and St. Peter celebrated the first Mass in Jerusalem or Antioch.” If it were so, one of the two celebrated first, and the other after; but neither of the two can be proved by scripture. Great marvel it is that so manifestly men shame not to lie! Peter and James (say the Papists) celebrated the first Mass.
[15]But I shall prove that Pope Sixtus was the first that did institute the altars. Felix, the first of that name, did consecrate them and the temples both. Bonifacius commanded the altars to be covered with clean cloths. Gregorius Magnus commanded the candles to be lighted at the Evangel, and did institute certain clothes. Pontianus commanded Confiteor to be said.[16]And wherefore should I trouble you and myself both, in reciting what every pope added. You may for two pence[17] have the knowledge [of] what every pope added, until at last was compact [put together] and set up the whole body of that blasphemous idol. And yet shame they not to say, “St. Peter said the first Mass,” although that many hundred years after him no such abominable ceremonies were invented.
[18]But they say, “All these ceremonies are not the substance of the Mass, but are added for good causes.” What commandment have they received to add anything to the ordinance of God, for any cause appearing to them? But let them certify [to] me what is the Mass. “The canon,” they will answer, “with the words of consecration.”
Who is the author of the canon, can they precisely tell? Be well advised before you answer, lest by neglecting yourself you be proved liars. [19]Will you say that the apostles used your canon? So you have affirmed in times past. If the canon descended from the apostles to the popes, bold and malapert impiety it had been to have added anything thereto; for a canon is a full and sufficient rule, which in all parts and points is perfect. But I will prove diverse popes to have added their portions to this holy canon. If they will deny, advise what Sergius added, and what Leo added, and what the two Alexanders added; for I may not abide presently to recite all; but if they doubt, their own law shall certify them.
Secondly, the remembrance of the names of such men, who were not born [until] many hundred years after the days of the apostles, declares the canon not to have been invented [for] many years after the apostles. For who used to make mention of a man in his prayers before he is born? And masteris memorie[20]is made in the canon of such men and women whose holiness and godly life credible histories make little mention [of], which is an evident testimony that your holy canon is vain and of none effect. And if any will take upon him to defend the same, I will prove that therein is indigestible, barbarous, foolish congestion of words, imperfection of sentences, ungodly invocations, and diabolical conjurations. All this is that holy canon whose authority excels all scripture. O! it was so holy, it might not be spoken plainly as the rest, but secretly it behooved to be whispered![21] That was not evil [poorly] devised, for if all men had heard it, men would have espied the vanity thereof.
But to the words of consecration: by whom have they that name, I desire to know? “By Jesus Christ,” will they say? But nowhere are they able to prove that the words which he pronounced at his Last Supper called he, or any of his apostles after him, “words of consecration.” And so have they received the name by the authority of man.
Which are the words? Let us hear. Accipite et manducate ex hoc omnes. Hoc est enim corpus meum. Similiter et calicem post quam coenavit, dicens, etc. [“Take and eat ye all of this, for this is my body. In like manner he took the cup after supper, saying,” etc.] (Cf. Matt. 26:26-28; Mark 14:23-24; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-24.) Let us inquire if anything be here added to Christ’s words, or if anything be changed or altered therein. First, in which of the evangelists are these words, “ex hoc omnes” [all of this], spoken of the bread? Jesus Christ did speak them of the cup, but not of the bread.
[22]O Papists! you have made alteration, not so much in words as in deed. And of the selfsame act
on commanded to be used by him, you permitted all to eat of the bread, but of the cup you reserved to you ¬ clipped in the crowns [heads] and anointed upon the fingers.[23]And in pain of your anathema ¬ of your great cursing ¬ you forbade that any laity presume to drink thereof. But tell me, Papists, were the apostles clipped and besmeared as you are? Or will you say that the congregation of the Corinthians were Papist priests? I think you will not. And yet they all drank of the cup, like as they ate of the bread. Mark, brethren, that of Christ’s own words they make alteration.
But let us proceed. They say, Hoc est enim corpus meum [“For this is my body”]. I pray them, show where they find enim. Is this not their own invention, and added of their own brain? O! here make they a great matter, and here lies a secret mystery and hidden operation. For in five words the virgin Mary conceived, they say, when she conceived the Son of God. What if she had spoken seven, ten, or twenty words? Or what if she had not spoken three? Should thereby the determined counsel [have] been impeded? But, O Papists! is God a juggler? Uses he [a] certain number of words in performing his intent? But whereto are you ascended, to be exalted in knowledge and wisdom above Jesus Christ? He says only, Hoc est corpus meum. But you, as though there lacked something necessarily requisite, have added enim [“for”], saying, Hoc est enim corpus meum. So that your affirmation makes all perfect.
Consider, I exhort you, beloved brethren, if they have not added here of their own invention to Christ’s words. And as they add, so steal they from them. Christ says, Hoc est corpus meum, quod pro vobis datur, or frangitur. “This is my body which is given for you,” or “which is broken for you.” These last words, wherein stands our whole comfort, they omit, and make no mention of them. And what can be judged more bold or wicked than to alter Christ’s words, to add unto them, and diminish from them. Had it not been convenient, that after they had introduced Jesus Christ speaking, that his own words had been recited, nothing interchanged, added, or diminished; which, seeing they have not done, but have done the express contrary, as before is proved.
[Conclusion of First Syllogism:
The Mass is Proven to be Idolatry]
I think it is in vain to labour further to prove the rest of this abominable action to be invented and devised by the foolish brain of man, and so it cannot be denied to be idolatry. It shall not profit them to say, “The epistle and evangel are in the Mass; hereto is nothing added.” What shall they prove thereby? For the epistle and the evangel, as themselves do confess, are not of the substance of the Mass. And although they were, it did nothing excuse the rest of that idolatry. For the devil may speak the words of God, and his false prophets also, and yet thereby are they neither better nor more holy. The epistle and evangel are God’s words, I confess, but there they are spoken for no edification of the people, but for to be a cloak unto the body of that mischievous idolatry. All the action is abominable, because it is the invention of man; and so a few or certain good words cannot sanctify that whole Mass and body of abomination.
But what if I shall admit to the Papists, that the whole action of the Mass were the institution and very ordinance of God, and never one jot of man’s invention therein; [if] I admit it be the ordinance of God (as it is not), yet will I prove it abomination before God.
All honouring, or service of God, whereunto is added a wicked opinion, is abomi nation. Unto the Mass is added a wicked opinion. Therefore it is abomination.
[The First Part: All Service with a
Wicked Opinion is Abomination]
The first part, I think, no godly man will deny. And if any would, I ask, “What made the selfsame sacrifice, instituted and ordained to be used by God’s express commandment, odious and abominable in his sight?” As it is written, “Bring unto me no more your vain sacrifices; your burnt offering is abomination; your new moons, sabbaths, and conventions I may not abide; your solemn feasts, I hate them from the heart” (Isa. 1:13-14). And also, “Who slayeth an ox in sacrifice, killeth a man:” that is, doth me no less dishonour than if he killed a man. “Who slayeth a sheep,” says he, “choketh a dog: who brought meat offerings unto me, doth offer swine’s blood” (Isa. 66:3). These two beasts, the dog and the swine, were abominable to be offered in sacrifice, the one for the cruelty, the other for filthiness. But, O priests! your sacrifices are mixed with the blood of dogs and swine; while that, on the one part, most cruelly you do persecute the professors of Christ’s word; upon the other part, yourselves live most filthily.
The prophet proceeds, “Who maketh a memorial of incense, praiseth a thing that is vain.” Amos says, “I hate and detest your solemn feasts. I will not accept your incense; your burnt offerings and meat offerings are not thankful before me” (Amos 5:21-23). And why all this? Because, says the prophet Isaiah, “They have chosen these in their own ways, and their own hearts have delighted in their abominations” (Isa. 66:3). And it is plain, that the aforesaid sacrifices were commanded to be done by God, and were not invented ¬ no, not one jot thereof ¬ by man’s wisdom. Read the books of Moses (Exodus and Leviticus), and you shall perceive them to be very commandments of God. And yet says the prophet, “They have chosen them in their own ways.” Whereby the prophet meant and understood, that they had added unto them an opinion which made them to be abominable before God.
This opinion was, as in the same prophet and diverse others may be espied, that by working of the external work, they might purchase the favour of God, and make satisfaction for their sins by the same sacrifices. And that I collect of Jeremiah saying, “Ye believe false words which shall not profit you. For when you have stolen, murdered, committed adultery, and perjury, etc., then ye come and stand before me in this house, which hath my name given unto it; and ye say, ‘We are delivered or absolved, albeit we have done all these abominations’ ” (Jer. 7:8-10). They thought and verily believed their sins to have been remitted by virtue of their sacrifice offered. But Isaiah asks of them, “Why spend ye silver for that which is not sure, and consume labour for that which does not satiate?” (Isa. 55:2). “Ye do hide yourselves with lies (but they esteemed them to have been verities) and ye make a band or covenant with death; but it shall not stand, for when destruction cometh it shall overwhelm you” (Isa. 28:15, 18). Their false prophets had taught them to cry, “Peace, peace,” when yet there was no peace in their consciences (Jer. 6:14; 8:11). For they which did eat the sin of the people (as our priests have long done), for the more wicked men were, the more desire they had of the Mass, thinking by virtue thereof all was purged. The pestilent priests of Moses’ law, as witness the prophets, caused the people to believe that by oblation of the sacrifice, they were just and innocent; and did desire, for such offerings, plague and the wrath of God to be removed (Hos. 7; Jer. 2). But it is answered unto them by the prophet Micah, “Shall I come in his presence with burnt offerings, and yearling lambs? Or doth a thousand rams please him, or ten thousand boats [containers] of oil? Shall I give my first-born son for expiation of mine iniquity; or the fruit of my womb a sin offering for my soul?” (Micah 6:6-7). Here the prophet plainly witnesses that no external work, how excellent ever it be, does purge or make satisfaction for sin. [24]And so of the precedents, it is plain that a wicked opinion added to the very work, sacrifice, or ceremony commanded to be done and used by God, makes it abomination and idolatry. For idolatry is not only to worship that thing which is not God, but also to trust or lean unto that thing which is not God, and has not in itself all sufficiency. And therefore Paul calls covetous men idolaters (Col. 3:5), because their confidence and trust are in their riches; much more would he call him an idolater whose heart believed remission of sins [comes] by a vain work, done by himself or by any other in his name.

[Part Two: Unto the Mass is
Joined a Wicked Opinion]
[25]But now let us hear if unto the Mass be joined a wicked opinion. It has been held in common opinion; it plainly has been taught; by law it is decreed; and in the words of the Mass it is expressed, that the Mass is a sacrifice and oblation for the sins of the quick and the dead: so that remission of sins undoubtedly was believed by that same action and work presently done by the priest. Sufficient it were for me, by the plain words of the aforesaid prophets, therefore to conclude it [an] abomination; seeing they [the prophets] plainly show that remission of sins comes only of the mere mercy of God, without all deserving of us, or of our work proceeding of ourselves. As Isaiah writes, saying, “I am he which removeth thine iniquity, and that for my own sake.”
But if I shall prove this aforesaid opinion which has been held of the Mass to be false, deceitful, and vain ¬ and that it is no sacrifice for sin (Isa. 43:25) ¬ shall either consuetude [custom], long process of time, or multitude of papistical patrons, defend that it is not abomination and idolatry?
And first I ask, “Who offers this sacrifice, and what is offered?”
“The priest,” say the Papists, “offers Jesus Christ unto the Father.”
Then I demand, if a man can offer unto God a more precious thing than himself? And it appears not, for Paul commands that “we offer unto God a holy, lively, and reasonable sacrifice,” which he calls our own bodies (Rom. 12:1). And Jesus Christ, having nothing more precious than himself, did offer up himself. If Paul had known any other sacrifice, after the death of Jesus Christ (that is, in all the times of the New Testament), more acceptable unto God than the mortification of our own bodies, would he not have advertised us thereof? If there was any other sacrifice, and he did not know thereof, then the Spirit led him not into all verity: which to say is blasphemy. If he knew it, and yet did not advertise us thereof, then did he not the duty and office of a true preacher; and to affirm that is like impiety. If any man might have offered Jesus Christ but himself only, in vain had it been to him to have suffered so cruel torment in his own person by oblation of himself. And so to affirm that mortal man may offer him who is immortal God, in my opinion is malapert proudness.
But let us hear more. Paul says, “By one oblation hath he made perfect forever them which are sanctified” (Heb. 10:14). And also, “Remission of sins once gotten, there resteth no more sacrifice” (Heb. 10:18). They will not avoid Paul’s words, although they say Paul speaks of the Levitical sacrifice. No, Papists! he excludes all manner of sacrifice, saying, Nulla amplius restat Oblatio, “No more sacrifice resteth.” And thereto testifies Jesus Christ himself upon the cross, saying, Consummatum est [“It is finished”] (John 19:30): that is, whatever is required for pacifying my Father’s wrath justly moved against sin; whatever is necessary for reconciliation of mankind to the favour of my eternal Father; and whatever the purgation of the sins of the whole world required, is now completed and ended, so that no further sacrifice rests for sin.
Hear, you Papists! Two witnesses speak against you. How can you deny the opinion of your Mass to be false and vain? You say that it is a sacrifice for sin, but Jesus Christ and Paul say only the death of Christ was sufficient for sin, and after it rests none other sacrifice. Speak! or else you are likely to be condemned.
[27]I know you will say, it is no other sacrifice, but the selfsame, save that it is iterated [repeated] and renewed. But the words of Paul bind you more straightly than that so you may escape. For in his whole disputation, he contends not only that there is no other sacrifice for sin, but also that the selfsame sacrifice, once offered, is sufficient, and never may be offered again. [29]For otherwise of no greater price, value, nor extenuation, should the death of Christ be, than the death of those beasts which were offered under the law ¬ which are proved to be of none effect, nor strength, because it behooved them often times to be iterated.
The apostle, by comparing Jesus Christ to the Levitical priests, and his sacrifice unto theirs, makes the matter plain that Christ might be offered but once. First, the Levitical priests were mortal, and therefore it behooved them to have successors; but Christ is an eternal priest, and therefore is alone, and needs no successor. The Levitical priests offered the blood of beasts; but Jesus Christ offered his own body and blood. The Levitical priests, for impotence of their sacrifice, did iterate the same; but the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, having in itself all perfection, needs not to be iterated. Yea, to affirm that it ought (or may be) iterated, is extreme blasphemy; for that were to impute imperfection thereupon, contrary to the whole religion, and the plain words of Paul, saying, “Such is our High Priest, holy, just, unpolluted, separate from sinners, and higher than the heavens; to whom it is not necessary every day to offer, as did those priests first offer for their own sins, and then for the sins of the people: for that he hath done once, when he offered himself” (Heb. 7:26-27). What words can be more plain? Here Paul shows all causes, wherefore it needs not Christ to be offered again; and would conclude, that he may not be offered again.
[30]Yet, they say, it repugns nothing that we offer Christ, so that he offer not himself. The text says plainly, as before is shown, that Christ only might offer himself ¬ which sacrifice is sufficient, and never may be offered again. “For if it had behooved him to have been oftener offered than once, he should have suffered often times from the beginning of the world. But once hath he appeared for the away taking of sin, offering himself” (Heb. 9:26): that is, of his own body, once slain, now living, and may suffer death no more. “For by his only one sacrifice hath he made us perfect, and sanctifieth forever.”
Here is answered to that objection, that some object: “Men every day sin; therefore it is necessary that every day be sacrifice made for sin.” Paul says, “By one sacrifice hath he consummated [completed] us forever” (Heb. 10:14). For otherwise, his death is not the only and sufficient sacrifice for our sins: which to affirm is blasphemy. And so there rests of our whole redemption nothing but his second coming, which shall be to judgment: where we, depending upon him, shall receive glory and honour; but his enemies shall be made a footstool to his feet. Not that I mean that his death ought not to be preached, and the remembrance thereof extolled and praised in the right administration of his Supper; but none of this to be sacrifice for sin. [31]What will you answer to this, which Paul produces against your Mass? [32]He plainly says there is no sacrifice for sin, but Christ’s death only, etc.; and that neither may you offer him, nor yet may he offer himself any more.
[33]You will say, “It is a memorial sacrifice, under which Jesus Christ is offered unto the presence of God the Father by the kirk, under the appearance of bread and wine, for remission of sins. I answer with Paul, Apparet nunc in conspectu Dei pro nobis, “He appeareth now in the presence of God for us” (Heb. 9:24). So that it is not requisite that any man offer or represent him to the Father; for that he does himself, making continual intercession for us.
But let us consider this doctrine more deeply. The kirk, say they, offered Jesus Christ unto God the Father for a memorial sacrifice, or in a memorial sacrifice. Is there any oblivion or forgetfulness fallen upon God the Father? Has he forgotten the death and passion of Jesus Christ, so that he needs to be brought in memory thereof by any mortal man? Behold, brethren, how that impiety discloses and declares itself! Can there be any greater blasphemy than to say, God the Father has forgotten the benefits which he gave to mankind in his only Son Jesus! And whoever will say that they offer any memorial sacrifice or remembrance thereof unto God, does plainly say that God has forgotten them. For otherwise, what needs a representation or remembrance?
Advert, Papists, and consider how Satan has blinded you; you do manifestly lie, and do not espy the same. You do blaspheme God at every word, and can you not repent?
[34]They say it is Sacrificium speaking here; for a memorial sacrifice it cannot be. They say it is a Sacrificium applicatorium [an applicatory sacrifice], a sacrifice whereby they do and may apply the merits of Christ’s passion unto sinners. They will be layers-to of plasters![35]But I fear the wound be not well ripened, and therefore that the plasters are unprofitable.
You say you may apply the merits of Christ’s passion to whom you list. This is proudly spoken. Then may you make peace with God at your pleasure. But the contrary he speaks in these words, “Who may make” (Isa. 27:5). Here God says, that as none may move his wrath against his chosen (and hereof ought you to rejoice, brethren: the pope, nor his priests, nor bishops whomsoever may not cause God to be angry against you, albeit they curse you with cross, bell, and candle),[36] so no man may compel him to love or receive in favour but whom it pleases his infinite goodness. Moses, I confess, prayed for the people when God was displeased with them (Ex. 32:11-14; 32:32). But he speaks not proudly as you do, but either desired God to remit the offence of the people, or else destroy him altogether with them. I fear that your love be not so fervent. He obtained his petition of God.
But will you say, “So it was determined before in the counsel of God?” Advise you well. The nature of God is to be free, and thrall unto nothing. For although he is bound and obliged to fulfill all that his word promises to faithful believers, yet is that neither subjection nor thralldom; for freely he made his promises, and freely he does fulfill the same. I desire to be certified where God made his promises unto you Papist priests, that you should have power to apply (as you speak) the merits of Christ’s passion to all and sundry who told or numbered money to you for that purpose? Takes God any part of the profit you receive? Alas, I have compassion upon your vanity, but more upon the simple people that have been deceived by you and your false doctrine.
Are you better heard with God than Samuel was? He prayed for King Saul, and that most fervently, and yet obtained not his petition, nor might not apply any merits or holiness unto him. And it is said to Jeremiah, “Pray thou not for this people, for my heart is not towards it; no, though Moses and Samuel should pray for them, yet would I not hear them, for they love to go wrong, and do not abstain from iniquity. Albeit they fast and cry, yet will I not hear them; and although they offer burnt sacrifice, I take no pleasure in it. And therefore pray not for this people, nor yet make any intercession for them, for I will not hear thee” (Jer. 14:11-12; cf. Jer. 15:1, Ezek. 14:14, 20).
What say you to these words, Papists? The prophet is forbidden to pray, for God says he neither will hear him nor yet the people. He will accept none of their sacrifices; and that because the people manifestly rebelled against God, rejoiced in iniquity, committed idolatry and abomination. And he manifestly shows that nothing may appease him but true repentance and conversion again unto God. O priests! has there not as great iniquity abounded in your days as ever did from the beginning? Have you not been enticers and leaders of the people to all idolatry? Yea, has not the mischievous example of your abominable lives provoked thousands unto iniquity? And yet do you say, that you may apply the merits of Christ’s passion to whom you list! Hear you not that God never will accept prayers nor sacrifice whiles [until] true repentance were found? Of that you were dumb, and always kept silence. Your clamour and crying was, “Come, come to the Mass; buy with money, substance, and possessions, remission of your sins. We have the merits of Christ’s passion. We may offer Jesus Christ unto the Father, whom he must needs receive for an acceptable sacrifice and satisfaction of all your sins.” Think not, brethren that I allege anything upon them which they themselves do not speak, as their own law and Mass shall testify.
In the beginning of the canon,[37] the proud priest, lifting up his eyes, as that he had God even always bound to his commandment, says, “We beseech thee, most merciful Father, by Jesus Christ our Lord, that you receive and bless this untasted sacrifice (unsavoury sacrifice, truly he might have said) which we offer to thee for thine universal church.”
O proud and perverse prelates and priests! who gave you that authority? Is it not expressly forbidden by the apostle Paul that any man should usurp the honour to make sacrifice, except he be called by God, as was Aaron? Have you the same commandment which was given to Aaron (Heb. 5:4)? His sacrifices are abrogated by Christ. Let us hear where you are commanded to make sacrifices. Search the scriptures, but search them with judgment. It will not be, Hoc facite [“Do this”], for that is spoken of eating, drinking, and thanksgiving, and not of sacrifice making. Nor yet will the order of Melchizedek, nor the text of Malachi prove you priests to make sacrifice. Advise with others that have more appearance to prove your intent; for if this be well pondered, the weight of them will depress the proudness of your papistical priesthood.
Now will I collect shortly, all that is said for probation, that the Mass is no sacrifice for sin. Advert: the New Testament is eternal, that is, once made, can never be dissolved (Isa. 9:6-7; Jer. 31:31-37), and therefore the blood wherewith this Testament is confirmed is eternal: for it is the blood of the eternal Son of God. Only the blood of Jesus Christ takes away our sins; for it is he alone that takes away the sins of the world, and who by his own blood has reconciled all (Col. 1:14, 19-20). [38]For if otherwise sin might have been taken away, then Christ has died in vain. And if full remission stood not in him alone, then they that ate him yet hungered, and they that drank him yet thirsted (John 6:35). And that were contrary to his own words. “The blood of Christ is once offered,” and is sufficient, for it is the eternal blood of the eternal Son of God; and “by his own blood hath he once entered into the holy place” (Heb. 9:12). Therefore, the blood of Christ once offered remains forever, for purgation of all sins; and so rests there no sacrifice in the Mass. Advert these reasons precedent,[39] and give place to the verity. For while the scriptures of God shall be held of authority, never are you able to resolve these arguments.
[Summary and Conclusion
of the Second Syllogism]
Consider now, brethren, if the opinion of the Mass be not vain, false, and deceitful? Caused they not you to believe it was a sacrifice, whereby remission of sins was obtained? And you may plainly perceive that no sacrifice there is, nor at any time was, for sins, but the death of Jesus Christ only. For the sacrifices of the old law were only figures of that verity and true sacrifice offered by Jesus Christ. And in them was a commemoration of sins made, but neither was remission of sins obtained, nor purgation made by any such sacrifice.
What will you do, Papist priests? There rests no sacrifice to be offered for sin by you, nor by any mortal man. These are dolorous tidings unto your hearts. And no marvel. For by that vain opinion that the Mass was a sacrifice for sin, have you so quietly rested into that flood of Euphrates,[40]that is, in all worldly felicity, which flows unto you as a continual flood. But the Mass known not only to be no sacrifice, but also to be idolatry, the waters appear to dry up. And it is likely that you lack some liquor to refresh your tongues, being excruciatingly [tormented] with drought and heat intolerable.

Other occultists and Mother Earth worshippers have no difficulty understanding that the Traditional Roman Catholic Church is nothing more, nor less, than the practice of powerful White Magic Satanism. The definition of White Magic Satanism is that practice of the occult which uses the power of the occult for the “good”, or “benefit” of mankind. From this standpoint, traditional Roman Catholicism is pure White Magic Satanism.
The Book of Daniel, Chapter 10, reveals something very interesting about spiritual warfare. In this chapter, the Prophet Daniel has asked God for special enlightenment concerning the future of Israel. The angel does not come with an answer for three weeks, 21 full days. When he does come, he tells Daniel that God heard and answered his prayer on the very first day he prayed, and gave the answer to this angel. However, this angel was prohibited from getting to Daniel because he was attacked by a very powerful demon, identified as the Prince of Persia [10:12-13]. The angel then said he “remained there with the kings of Persia”.

Finally, as he was unable to defeat this demon by himself, he asked Michael the Archangel, the Guardian Angel of Israel, for assistance. With Michael’s intervention, this angel was finally able to get to Daniel. Then, the angel told Daniel, when he returned to the Heavenly sphere, he was going to aid the fight for the Prince of Persia, and later, the Prince of Greece [10:20].

In this chapter, Daniel is speaking about a little-understand aspect of spiritual warfare — the battle between Satan and God for the mind and heart of key national and spiritual leaders all throughout history. The Bible states that Satan conspired against God before the Foundation of the Earth [Isaiah 14:12-14], when he rebelled against God and took one-third of the angels with him in his rebellion [Revelation 12:4]. Then, in the Garden of Eden, Satan spoke to Eve through the serpent, again conspiring against God’s Plan. All throughout human history, Satan has been battling against God’s forces for the heart and mind of key human rulers of nations and religions of every era. The powerful demon assigned to the particular human leader of each nation in every era whispers his plan into the mind of the leader, while God’s angel assigned to the same ruler works to counter the demonic influence and ensure that God’s Plan is accomplished.

While God is Omnipotent, and could win every one of the battles, God elects not to win sometimes. In some instances, in some eras of time, God elects to allow Satan to win the victory. I do not understand the complexities of God’s decision-making, having faith that, in the End of the Age, God will win the final battles that will return the rulership of the Earth back to Jesus Christ.

As we discussed in earlier articles, Satan must have one of his most powerful demons working with the key human leaders of the United States, especially since Satan chose this country in the 1740’s to be the leader of the nations in establishing the Kingdom of Antichrist, now known as the New World Order.

But, how about the Roman Catholic Church? Does Satan have a specially empowered demon working to move this Church to the side of Satan? You can bet he does. The ultimate aim of Satan is to deliver all mankind to the worship of his Superman, Antichrist. Since the Bible declares that the Antichrist will practice Black Magick Satanism [Daniel 8:23, “Understanding Dark Sentences”; King of Fierce Countenance”; and causing “craft to prosper in his hand”], we should expect that he would want a church so powerful and large as the Roman Catholic Church to turn, at the End of the Age, toward Black Magick Satanism. We have proven that Popes Paul VI and John Paul II are currently Black Magick Satanists, and we shall examine that truth again at the end of this article.

However, the demon assigned to the Church of Rome could not, in the early part of the Church Age, move the Church directly into Black Magick Witchcraft. Rather, he would more likely be successful if he moved the Church of Rome first into White Magic Witchcraft, disguised as Christianity . Then, after a very long period of practicing disguised White Magic Witchcraft, he could then move Roman Catholicism into the same Black Magick brand of Witchcraft as Antichrist will practice.

Now, please keep your minds open long enough for me to prove this concept to you.

If I were the demon assigned to the Church of Rome, what changes would I make in the practice of Catholicism that would move the Church into witchcraft, all the while disguising what I was really doing from the masses of the people?
I would make several changes.

First, I would create a centerpiece of worship that violated Jesus Christ as much as possible, while deceiving the people into thinking that they were honoring Him. I would set up a service that could be repeated daily that would “strike” Jesus again and again, putting Him back on that cross daily. You see, the Apostle Paul clearly told us that the Messiah was to be only struck once, and that the reason Moses got into such trouble with God was that he struck the rock the second time, rather than speaking to it the second time. Jesus was that rock [1 Corinthians 10:4], and so when Moses struck the rock the second time to get water, he not only disobeyed God who told him to speak to the rock, he struck Messiah twice.

All the way through the Book to the Hebrews, the author speaks of the “once and for all” sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Jesus died only once on the cross, and then went to the right hand of the Father. We see that the sacrifice was so excellent and so accepting of the Father, that it need never be repeated again. In fact, we are prohibited from ever repeating it again. The writer to the Hebrews boldly states, “… we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” [10:10]

Therefore, if I wanted to violate God’s mandate the most severely, I would create a ceremony that sacrificed Jesus Christ again and again and again, that could be repeated daily all over the world, all the while deceiving the people into thinking they were glorifying Jesus Christ. Of course, I am speaking of the Mass , which does exactly this. The Mass, according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, duplicates the sacrifice on the cross. Quoting directly, “The Mass is the same sacrifice as the sacrifice on the cross, because in the Mass the victim is the same, and the principal Priest is the same, Jesus Christ.” [My Catholic Faith, p. 286]
Further, I would write the Mass in Latin, the language of the original Pagan Romans, in such way that would derive great witchcraft power. Doc Marquis, the former Black Magick Satanist, says unequivocally that the Mass, when it is said in Latin, contains great occult power! Black Magick witches in the early 6th Century discovered that the Roman Catholic Church had created a powerful White Magic ceremony in the Mass; therefore, they tried to capture this power for themselves by creating the infamous Black Mass, said backwards.

Then, if that were not enough damage done to the finished, once-for-all sacrifice on the cross, I would create a symbol that would keep Jesus on the cross permanently. This symbol could hang on the walls in people’s homes and in their offices, and hang in their cars, constantly keeping Jesus Christ on the Cross where I wanted Him to be, not at the Father’s Right Hand in Glory.
Now that I have kept Jesus on the Cross, both in the Mass and on the Crucifix, do you have any idea what kind of spiritual victory I have achieved? I have just prevented Salvation from being possible , for anyone who practiced the Mass and revered the Crucifix! This is impossible, you say? Listen to the writer to the Hebrews, speaking under the authority of the Holy Spirit. “If they then deviate from the faith … it is impossible to bring them back to repentance … as long as they nail up on the cross the Son of God afresh … and are holding Him up to contempt and shame and public disgrace.” [Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

Holding Jesus Christ continuously up to contempt and public disgrace is exactly what the Mass and the Crucifix accomplishes. In fact, Catholics are encouraged to contemplate daily the supreme sacrifice Jesus suffered on the Cross.
Next, I would attack the all-perfect sacrifice for sins which Jesus’ death accomplished. Even though Jesus’ last words on the cross were, “It is finished” [a Greek commercial word, “teleo” which means “Paid in Full”] I would whisper to the Church theologians that Jesus did not fully discharge the sin debt. I would whisper that, while Jesus’ sacrifice opened the way for mankind to ultimately reach Heaven, it did not remove the stain of man’s sin. Men and women must remove as much of this sin as possible throughout their lives by doing good works, attending Holy Days, participating in the Sacraments, and even causing pain to oneself. Thus, I would make Salvation in the Catholic Church a matter of Faith plus Works , a matter against which the Apostle Paul struggled mightily in the early Christian Church. As Paul said succinctly, “For it is by Grace ye are saved, not by works …” [Ephesians 2:8]

Now that I have effectively sealed off the entire congregation from Salvation, I would next attack the sufficiency of the Bible itself. I would whisper into the ears of the Catholic theologians and the Pope that the Bible was written by men — mere men that have the same passions as all men have [James 5:17] — so that it has to contain error. Knowing the Bible by rote the way I do — as one of the chief demons of Hell — I know what an anchor of the soul a belief in the inerrancy of the Bible provides a saint of God. Therefore, I attack it. I further whisper that the Bible is so difficult to understand that the average layperson cannot hope to understand it without “interpretation” by the priest, or official edification from Vatican. Finally, I would forbid anyone to read it on their own, lest they happen to read a verse like, “Saved by Faith, not by Works”, or they might read the Book of Hebrews and be able to instantly see what I have done.

After sealing off the True Word of God, it is now time to introduce a false word of God, which I shall call the Traditions of the Church or the Traditions of the Fathers. I remember how very angry Jesus was with the Pharisees and Sadducees because they had created an Extra-Biblical body of writings, which they called the Traditions of the Fathers. These Traditions were presented to the people as an explanation of the Word of God, and as genuinely trustworthy as the True Word God had originally given. Actually, over the centuries, these Traditions were gradually changed so that they led a person away from the True God, effectively sealing off true Salvation.

Further, I am quite aware of the prohibition God has placed on the practice of “Adding to” or “Taking away from” His Holy Bible. I tell you, this Hellish practice drives God into angry fits of rage every time someone “Adds to” or “Takes away” from His Word. But, having made this decision to change God’s Word, what kind of verses do I want to add, and what kind of verses do I want to take away? First, I will want to add verses and doctrines that will move the Roman Catholic Church seamlessly and continuously into the practice of White Magic Witchcraft; after all, we want very much to use the powers of the occult for the “good” of the people! This means I will have to decide which Pagan doctrines I want to bring in, dressed up with Christian names, allegories, and good old-fashioned Bible stories, all with my little twist of course. I am very excited about this prospect, as paganism from the past 4,000 years offers such a rich variety of Satanic beliefs and practices from which I can choose; however, I must be careful to bring in only those which can be deftly disguised as “Christian”.

One of the first doctrines I will bring in will be praying to dead people and worshipping at an idol made in their supposed likeness. This is one of the oldest, and most effective, means to move people into Satanism, and I can easily disguise it as Christian. I will continuously make the Virgin Mary into a God-like figure that can hear the prayers of untold millions of people worldwide simultaneously, ultimately declaring she was born without original sin and never died, being miraculously assumed into Heaven. Then, I will make all the dead “saints” of the Church God-like in their ability to also hear prayers from all over the world simultaneously.

But, wait, if I am going to bring in old Pagan idol worship into the Church, I need to do something about that First Commandment which clearly and unambiguously forbids making and worshipping idols. How can I take this away and still have 10 Commandments? It will be too obvious to only have 9 Commandments. I know! I will take the 10th Commandment, which is a long one about coveting, and I will break it into two commandments, thus preserving the number 10. I can safely leave the First Commandment in the Catholic Bibles, since no one is going to read it anyway, changing only the Catechism teachings.

I tell you, my plan began to work perfectly, beginning with the introduction of the Mass, where I put Jesus Christ back on Calvary every day this old world is in existence. Further, in the way in which I have written the Mass in the old original Pagan Latin language, great occult power is produced. Those practitioners of Black Magic Witchcraft are going to be really jealous over the great power with which I have imbued this Church. In fact, as we progressed through the 7th Century, Black Magick occultists created the Black Mass to try to capture the occult power of the Catholic Mass for themselves. And, they actually created their own Crucifix. They took the cross, bent it inward at all four corners, and placed an emaciated, totally pathetic figure of Jesus on it, hanging Him so He really looks like a loser. They called this Crucifix the “Twisted Cross”, and decided to make it their symbol of their future Antichrist, the Antichrist of Revelation 13.

Which other Pagan doctrines can I now bring into the Roman Catholic Church? I tell you, it is proving to be so easy, I am beside myself with joy. Since establishing the Mass in the powerful Latin language in 600 A.D., I have been given carte blanche authority to bring in truckloads of Pagan doctrine, provided I never blow my Christian cover. Of course, as I go through the centuries, each succeeding generation of people becomes easier and easier to deceive. I have decided to bring in the following doctrines from Paganism, in addition to what I have described already:

1. Give the Pope both Religious and Political Power — 754 A.D. — No one will remember that Jesus said, “My Kingdom is not of this world.” [John 18:36]. This move will give the Pope the power to overcome any and all opposition to this new, occultic powerful Church. In fact, those Black Magick Satanists are kicking up quite a fuss lately. If I give the Pope the Political power of the kings of Europe, he can force the Inquisition on these Black Magick people, killing them and forcing them underground. If anyone can expose the Catholic Church for the White Magic folk they have become, it is the Black Magick people. Thus, I began the Inquisition some 800 years before that traitor, Martin Luther.
2. Worship of Relics, especially the Cross and of Images — 788 A.D. — Since all Pagans love to worship the Creature rather than the Creator [Romans 1:25], I know it will be really simple to bring in this Pagan practice. I will whisper into the minds of the respected Church theologians that people should adore objects that are supposedly parts of the Cross, of dead saints, and of anything the Pope wants to “bless”.
3. Fasting on Fridays and observance of Lent — 988 A.D. — Lent is a totally Pagan observance, so I can bring it in wholesale. Fasting is a neat thing to bring in, because Jesus taught it under certain circumstances, and because “abstaining from meats is one of those “doctrines that demons teach” [1 Timothy 4:1-3]. Furthermore, since Friday is the 6th day of the week, it has always been a favorite among Satanists. Therefore, I will teach that no one can eat meat on Friday. Perfect !
4. Celibacy of Priests — 1123 A.D. — I just could not wait to bring this doctrine in, because it goes so dramatically against the natural constitution of man. That awful Apostle Paul identified celibacy as one of the “doctrines demons teach” [1 Timothy 4:3] and he warned that a person can be tempted to sexually sin if they do not have proper sexual relations with their wives [1 Cor 7:5] But, most importantly, I know that, over the centuries, this unnatural denial of the normal sex drive in priests and nuns will allow my compatriot demon leader from Hell, Larz , to do his work mightily within the Church. You see, Larz is the demon Satan has made responsible for sexual lust, homosexuality, bisexuality, adultery, and other such sexual pleasures. Satan’s Seven Divisions of Hell for full details]. Over the many centuries since I persuaded the Pope to declare absolute celibacy, the fires of sexual sin have been able to sweep repeatedly through the ranks of clergy, destroying their lives, and the lives of many young parishioners as well. Celibacy is one of my greatest triumphs!
5. Praying the Rosary — 1090 A.D. — Since Jesus forbid praying repetitious prayers, that is exactly the kind of praying I wanted to establish in the Catholic Church. Fortunately, the Satanic Babylonian Mysteries offered the perfect example. They invented and perfected the use of the Rosary, especially devotion to the Babylonian “Sacred Heart” worship. I can also take some of the pattern from ancient India, Tibet, and China [Two Babylons, Hislop, p. 188]. In the Mass and the Crucifix, I have sealed off the way to true Salvation, and now, through the Rosary, I have ensured God will not hear their prayers, even though they speak many words.
6. Sale of Indulgences — 1190 A.D. — I whispered into the ear of the Pope that he was the guardian of “the celestial treasury” of the saints who have lived before and whose meritorious works are ready to be dispensed to earnest living Catholics for some Good Works they have done. I told the Pope he held the keys to this Treasury and could dispense the “spiritual wealth” to whomever he chose, for whatever reason he chose. The power this lie gave to the Papacy was enormous. Crusaders were given heavy indulgences to fight the Infidels in the Middle East. Later, the Pope was able to sell indulgences for money, for all sorts of contrivances: Offering for Masses; from candles to statues; heavily-indulgenced societies; and hundreds of other religious items Catholics can purchase in order to receive indulgences. This pagan doctrine has done much to enrich the Church and give the Pope tremendous power over the people.
7. Purgatory Proclaimed — 1438 A.D. — Satan loves the doctrine of Purgatory, and has propagated its lie throughout all pagan religions in every era. But, Purgatory is especially delicious for Lord Satan when it is applied to “Christian” doctrine. Purgatory detracts from the fullness of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross, denying that His sacrifice purchased complete pardon for individual sin. We talked above about the all-perfect sacrifice for sins which Jesus’ death on the cross procured for each person who would ever live afterward. To make sure we understood how perfect this sacrifice was, Jesus said, “It is finished”, using a Greek word that means “finished”, but was also used during that era to mean the “Debt Is Paid In Full “! But Purgatory denies the debt was paid in full, and denies the continuous cleansing His blood gives to all saved people who need continuous cleansing [1 John 1:9, continuously cleansing is in view here].

Purgatory holds that all men must go through a cleansing process to be “pure enough” to enter Heaven, even though God the Father has recognized Jesus’ sacrifice as all-sufficient, perfect, unto all eternity [Hebrews 5:9; 9:11; 12:23; 13:20].
But, doctrine aside, Purgatory has always made the coffers overflow of the pagan religion that taught it. Purgatory opens the door wide to all kinds of priestly extortions. Priests as far back as the Satanic Mysteries of Egypt learned that prayers for the dead could not be “effective” unless the priests intervened, and every person knows the priest cannot intervene unless he be specially paid first. In every land, in every era, Pagan priests have used this doctrine of Purgatory to seize great riches for themselves, as they learn to prey upon the tender feelings of loss of loved ones, promising to pray for that departed poor soul, to make his stay in Purgatory shorter.

Thank Lucifer for the fact that we earlier established the notion in their heads that the Bible is not to be trusted, and is too difficult to read on their own! Otherwise, they might realize how false this doctrine is. They might read Jesus’ words to the dying thief on the cross, who asked Jesus for forgiveness of sins, recognizing Him as Messiah. They might read Jesus tell the dying thief, “Today, you shalt be with Me in Paradise”. Man, do I love Biblical ignorance!

8. Invention of Scapulars, Medals, and Edible Religious Stamps — 1600 A.D. — People are so eager to think they can obtain eternal salvation without having to change their hearts and minds through Jesus’ Blood. And I can think of no better way to provide false “assurance” of easy salvation than through Scapulars, Medals, and Edible Religious Stamps. I love the scapular. Listen to its “assurances” to the gullible pagan believer.

“Whosoever dies clothed in this Scapular shall not suffer eternal fire.” [Mary’s promise to St. Simon Stock, July 16, 1251]

“Our Lord taught us to say the Our Father. Mary taught us the value of the Scapular. When we use it as a prayer, Our Lady draws us to the Sacred Heart of Her Divine Son. It is well, therefore, to hold the scapular in the hand while addressing Our Lady.” [The Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima, Washington, NJ 07882, ImprimaturL +Thomas M. O’Leary, D.D. Bishop of Springfield]

How I have loved the Sacred Heart lie! It has worked so well since I invented it in Babylon so many years ago.

9. Infallibility of the Pope — 1870 A.D. — I am especially proud of this invention. As a demon in the service of Lord Satan, I am wholly dedicated to the eventual appearance of our Spiritual Superman, Antichrist. He will be assisted mightily by the False Religious Prophet, whom we know will be the Roman Catholic Pope. Therefore, to prepare for this wonderful occasion, when the Religious Prophet will exercise global dictatorial control [Rev 13:16-18], what better plan can we execute than to make him an Absolute Spiritual Dictator within his own Church .in the latter part of the 19th Century?

Once again, I am so glad I discouraged Catholics from reading the Bibles on their own. Otherwise, they may read of the time when the Apostle Paul challenged Peter, telling him he was doing wrong! [Galatians 2:11-21] It would not do to see our supposedly First Pope — Peter — being withstood to his face by Paul, and admitting that he had been wrong in his treatment of the Gentile Christians.

As you can tell, by the 1200’s, I had the Roman Catholic Church practicing powerful White Magic Witchcraft. The invention of the Mass said in Latin was the key, as it produced tremendous spiritual power. But, I was lacking a human sacrifice, and Lord Satan was not happy about it. You see, all witchcraft requires sacrifice, and Satan wants it to be human. Even White Magic people who sacrifice animals, or who do not sacrifice anything, are not aware that someone, somewhere, is sacrificing on their behalf. Where in the world could I get a human sacrifice system operating in the Roman Catholic Church and still maintain my fig leaf cover as a Christian Church?

Ah, I have the answer: I can invoke the magical properties of a priest performing a “Mystery “! All pagan priests in every era have wowed their adherents with the idea that he can perform a “Mystery” that no one else can even conceive, let alone do. Let me see how I can work this out. I will need a body, preferably that of Jesus Christ, and I will need blood, again preferably from Jesus Christ.

I have it! I will propagate the lie that, at the time of Communion, the wafer becomes the body of Jesus Christ, and the wine actually becomes His blood. [Transubstantiation] Then, there is no difference between the “Mystery” ceremony the Catholic priest mystically performs, and the real sacrificial ceremony a Satanic priest really performs. In the supernatural realm, there will be no difference, and I will have my human sacrifice! Once again, I can keep sacrificing that hated Jesus Christ again and again, and again, endlessly! How wonderful this concept truly is! The people will think they are doing great honor to Jesus, when they are really sacrificing Him at Satan’s altar.

Finally, since all true pagans eat the flesh of their sacrificial human victim and drink the blood, after the sacrifice is over, I will have the Catholics eat the wafer and drink the wine after the priest is finished with the symbolic sacrifice. Perfect!
THE essence — the heart and soul of Witchcraft — is the absolute control that a Witch or a Wizard exercises over a reluctant and even resistant Deity. The Witch or Wizard is assured that, once they perform a ritual precisely as it is written, they can force any demon or demons down from their supernatural realm into this realm. Once in this realm the Witch or Wizard can force them to do whatever they want him to do, even if he is resistant to these commands.
This power over Deity is THE most important allure of Witchcraft; it is the #1 reason human beings want to become Witches or Wizards. In Roman Catholicism Witchcraft, the priest is the Wizard, and his primary ritual is the Mass. Remember, there are many different Masses for different things the witch wants the demon to accomplish. I have listed, below, the various types of Masses:
1. Sunday Morning Mass
2. Funeral Mass
3. Purgatory Mass
4. To honor the Saints in Heaven and to obtain their mediation for:
a. Spiritual favors
b. Temporal favors
c. Health
d. Wealth
e. A Happy Trip
f. Protection against rain
g. Protection against hail
h. Protection against insects

5. Masses to be said at shrines or at historical churches
6. For Good School Exam Results
(“I Am A Priest”, by Lucien Vinet, Protestant Information Bureau, Englewood, Colorado, 1949.)
Witchcraft has rituals for all these types of wonderful blessings, just like Catholicism.
To prove that I have established Roman Catholicism as White Magic Witchcraft, I will quote a respected Catholic theologian, Father John A. O’Brien of Notre Dame University, in his book, Faith For Millions. Listen:
“The supreme power of the priestly office is the power of consecrating. ‘No act is greater’, says Saint Thomas, ‘than the consecration of the body of Christ’. In this essential phase of the sacred ministry, the power of the priest is not surpassed by that of the bishop, the archbishop, the cardinal or the pope. Indeed, it is equal to that of Jesus Christ. For in this role the priest speaks with the voice and authority of God Himself.”
“When the priest pronounces the tremdous words of consecration, he reaches up into the heavens, brings Christ down from his throne, and places Him upon our altar to be offered up again as the victim of for the sins of man. It is a power greater than that of monarchs and emperors; it is greater than that of saints and angels, greater than that of Seraphim and Cherubim. Indeed, it is greater than the power of the Virgin Mary: For, while the Blessed Virgin was the human agency by which Christ became incarnate, a single time, the priest brings Christ down from Heaven, and renders Him present on our altar as the eternal Victim for the sins of man — not once but a thousand times! The priest speaks and lo! Christ, the eternal and omnipotent God, bows His head in humble obedience to the priest’s commands.”
Let me repeat that last, and most important, sentence:
“The priest speaks and lo! Christ, the eternal and omnipotent God, bows His head in humble obedience to the priest’s commands.”
This is the heart and soul of Witchcraft, and I have deftly incorporated it into the White Magic Witchcraft of the Roman Catholic Church. It is no wonder Satan assigned me this most important task, as this position as demonic overlord to the Catholic Church takes great skill and wisdom.
This is Perfect!

Suddenly, out of nowhere, mortal enemies appear! In the 6th Century, A.D., Black Magick Satanists realize what I am attempting to do, and they realize the great power I have given the Roman Catholic Church with the Latin Mass. In an effort to capture this power, they create the Black Mass and the Twisted Cross Crucifix. But, that is not what I am worried about. I worry that, as fellow occultists, they can alert the people as to what I am doing to the Catholic Church and blow the whistle on me. Then, my efforts would be in vain, and I would be prevented from bringing the Catholic Church all the way into White Magic Witchcraft.

Therefore, I will instigate an Inquisition against the Black Magic Satanists — also known as followers of the Hermetic Tradition. Pagans treat their mortal enemies in exactly this way. Whereas Jesus told His followers they could not call fire down from Heaven to punish those who would not repent and would not listen to the Gospel [Luke 9:54], pagans vigorously pursue their enemies with malice and hatred. As soon as I realized Black Magick Satanists could let it be known what the Church of Rome had become, I whispered into the mind of the Pope that he needed to pursue, torture, and kill any of this enemy he could find. The Inquisition had thus begun, and it was marvelously successful. I ensured that Rome’s Magic was the dominant Magic in the land.

Then, in 1515 A.D., the most heinous of all events occurred. Catholic priest, Martin Luther, suddenly had his spiritual eye opened by the Spirit of God, and saw that men are saved by Faith alone, not by any Works he might do, or works that the Church might ascribe to him. The Spirit of God was mighty and Protestantism flourished, to a startling degree in many countries. Some nations in Europe, especially France, seemed in danger of losing their Catholic majority.
Luckily, the machinery of the Inquisition was in place and was effective. I whispered into the Pope’s mind that he should unleash the Inquisition against these upstart Protestant Christians. The Pope did my bidding, and began a 300-year reign of terror and bloodshed that resulted in the death of over 8 million Protestants. To this day, the graves of these 8 million Protestants stand as a wonderful testimony to the raw power of Hell that can be unleashed against anyone who dares cross a Satanist or his Church.

Symbols are exceedingly important to the practice of any kind of Satanism. “The true magic symbol is an image which hides an inner meaning. This meaning is usually cunningly hidden behind a form which most people think they can understand …” [Magic Symbols , Occult Book, p. 6] We demons absolutely love symbols in all types of witchcraft. Of course, Black Magick and White Magic witches use many of the same symbols. To imprint my fingerprints on this transfer of the Roman Catholic Church from a true Christian Church to one practicing White Magic Witchcraft, I whispered in the Pope’s ear in the early 7th Century that he could import occultic symbols, “Christianize” them by saying a prayer over them and then use them in Catholic practice. This is one of my favorite tricks, and it is made easier when people like the Popes, Cardinals, Bishops, and priests are woefully ignorant of the Bible. In the Old Testament, God would never allow the Israelites to use pagan symbols under any pretense, ordering they be destroyed in every instance, and never allowed them to “cleanse” any pagan symbol or object by any means whatsoever.

God Himself has defined Paganism as “worshipping the Creature rather than the Creator [Romans 1:25], and He is right on the money. We demons are constantly trying to get men to worship something other than the One True God. We have been successful in getting man to worship Nature, Animals, Trees, Bees, Birds, Reptiles, the Sun, the Stars, and just about everything God has ever made. But, the easiest thing to get man to worship is sex . This is why we have created the 8-Fold Path to Enlightenment, with the circle in the middle. This circle represents the female vulva in our spiritual teaching.
The obelisk was created by the demon Prince of Egypt, one of the most powerful demons in Hell. He whispered in the mind of the Egyptian leaders that the Spirit of their Sun God, Ra, resided within the obelisk. The Egyptians were told to “face the obelisk” at least once per day, and thrice if possible. The obelisk is the perfect symbol of the Male phallus.
Thus, the obelisk was the Male phallus, while the circle represented the Female vulva. Whenever we wanted to represent the Great Sex Act, we merely inserted the phallus of the obelisk into the vulva of the circle. It was slick and it was easy.

Once I persuaded the Popes to “Christianize” obelisks, the Roman Catholic Church went whole-hog crazy over obelisks. They began to virtually strip Egypt of its plentiful supply, shipping them to Rome, and erecting them everywhere. I persuaded the Pope to buy the most famous Egyptian obelisk of all time, Cleopatra’s Needle. When he had brought it into Rome, I then persuaded him to design it so it would sit right in the middle of the 8-Fold Path of Enlightenment, right in St. Peter’s Basilica. In this way, the Pope is in perfect position to “face the obelisk” daily, as many times as we want him to.

When we persuaded the Pope in the 7th Century to recreate the Great Sex Act in St. Peter’s Basilica, I had not yet moved the Catholic Church into forcing the priests into Celibacy. That innovation would not occur until 1123 A.D., nearly 500 years later. But, in the 7th Century, I knew I was going to bring Celibacy into the Catholic Church, and I laughed heartily every time I thought that the time would soon come when the world’s most powerful promoter of Celibacy would have the symbol of the Great Sex Act right in front of their Pope every time he came out to speak to the faithful in the square.

From the beginning, I had orders from Lord Satan to ultimately move the Roman Catholic Church into Black Magick Satanism, since that is going to be the religion of Antichrist [Daniel 7:23-25] and of the False Prophet [Revelation 13:12]. We knew that, if I was successful in establishing Black Magick within the Catholic Church, the Pope would be the logical choice for False Prophet. The plan was set and the pathway sure. Only the timing was uncertain, since that was not in our hands.

Finally, in the late 1950’s, I received my orders from Rege, the General of the Occult. “Choose your Black Magick Pope now”. I chose the man who was to become Pope Paul VI. He was wise and proficient in the ways of the Craft and he would listen carefully to our instructions. He was elected Pope in 1962.
As soon as he arose, I wanted to flash a signal to the entire world of occultists that the change in the Roman Catholic Church for whom they had been long awaiting had finally occurred. Therefore, I whispered into the mind of Paul VI that he should immediately show forth the Twisted Cross that Satanists in the 6th Century had created. He immediately thought this was an excellent idea, so he began to use the Satanic Crucifix, this ultimate symbol of Antichrist. In 1978, the new Pope, who had taken the name, John Paul II, also began using this Crucifix.

How delicious it is to me, and to Lord Satan, that every time the Catholic faithful assemble to hear the Pope speak, they bow down to THE symbol of Antichrist, without even knowing it. We are constantly amazed how easy it is to deceive human beings, as they are so desperately sinful they want to be deceived. Moving the Roman Catholic Church, first into practicing powerful White Magic Witchcraft and then into practicing Black Magick, has not been too difficult, and it has been a whole lot of fun.

Truly, Black Magick practitioner, Karl Marx, was so right on when he created these words, as they so accurately portray the attitudes of all the demonic host toward pathetic human beings.

“Yet I have power within my youthful arms
To clench and crush you [humanity] with Tempestuous force,
While for us both the abyss yawns in darkness.
You will sink down and I shall follow laughing,
Whispering in your ears, ‘Descend, come with me, friend.”

Now, at long last, the time is near for the appearance of our Superman, Antichrist. Soon, he will ride out of Heaven on his white horse, and appear East of Jerusalem according to the Plan. I have accomplished my mission of positioning the Roman Catholic Church to assume the leadership of the global church of Antichrist. It has been fun, and it has been rewarding. Soon, the ultimate victory of Lord Satan over that other Lord, Jesus Christ, will occur at Armageddon. Then, my Lord shall climb up to Heaven itself to depose God and rule forever. This is the ultimate Plan, and I will be a large part of it.
This has been an account of a fictional report from the powerful demon assigned to the Roman Catholic Church for centuries, as he moved the Church steadily, first into the powerful practice of White Magic Witchcraft, and now into the Black Magick Witchcraft of the Antichrist. All the evidences are there, from pagan doctrine to the symbols we have shown you, above. Satanists and Mother Earth practitioners, have no difficulty at all in seeing the Roman Catholic Church for the pagan institution she is, and they respect and fear her pagan power. I realized this, with steadily increasing horror, as I studied the occult. What I have shared with you is true, and is accurately based upon occult knowledge.
We hope and pray that you will read this account with an open heart and mind, for your precious eternal soul is at stake. We pray that you will now obey the words of our Savior, “Come out from her … so you may not participate in her plagues.” [Revelation 18:4]
Now that the Roman Catholic Church has moved into the practice of Black Magick Witchcraft, we can know positively that the appearance of Antichrist is very soon.

Roman Catholics claim that a supernatural event occurred in 1917 in which the “Blessed Virgin Mary” appeared repeatedly to 3 little children in Fatima, Portugal. Supposedly, the Virgin Mary gave a message to the 3 little children. The Message of Fatima consists of an alleged number of precise predictions, requests, warnings and promises concerning the Faith and the world which were conveyed by the Blessed Virgin Mary to three shepherd children–Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco–in a series of apparitions at Fatima, Portugal from May to October 1917. An “apparition” means “the unexpected or unusual appearance of a ghostly figure.”
Why Catholics Say We should Believe the Message of Fatima
The following claims were obtained from
1. Supposedly, the events of Fatima were confirmed by an unprecedented public miracle, the Miracle of the Sun, which occurred at precisely the moment Lucia said it would. More than 70,000 people, including Masons, communists and atheists, reportedly saw the sun, seemingly contrary to all cosmic laws, twirl in the sky, throw off colors and descend to earth. The event was reported in newspapers around the world, including the New York Times.
However, the miraculous events which the onlookers reportedly saw were not contrary to nature at all. As a matter of fact, they were VERY NORMAL astronomical events. Please read the following simple explanation for the “miracle” of Fatima from the National UFO Centre..

A gigantic coronal mass ejection (CME) occurred on May 13, 2000. Probably
the largest of the year was recorded by NASA. Every eleven years our sun
goes through a period of solar storms and these storms have been with us for
centuries of recorded history. Solar flares emit high-speed particles that
cause the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis. Radiation from the solar
flares can give passengers in aircraft or UFOs a dose of radiation equivalent
to a medical X-ray. Severe weather on Earth, volcanoes and earthquakes may
be all tied to this activity on the sun. Satellites, communications, silicon
circuitry, portable phones and alternating current outlets can all be
effected. If your appliances start acting up it may be the result of these
solar storms. Even severe headaches may be tied to the sun’s activity. We
are watching to see if the UFO activity is influenced by the sun’s heavy
solar activity and initial indications are that reports have slowed in recent

Pope John Paul’s visit to Fatima, Portugal was punctuated by eruptions on the
sun, marking the 83rd anniversary of miracle of Fatima that occurred on May
13, 1917. Witnesses at Fatima claimed to have seen the sun dance in the
sky.” Some claim this was an early UFO sighting, others claim it may have
been unusual solar activity. The Vatican revealed the Third Secret that the
Virgin Mary the mother of Christ is said to have told three children when she
appeared at Fatima. The first two secrets foretold the end or World War I
and the start of World War II along with the rise and fall of Communism.
The Third Secret foretold the shooting of Pope John Paul II several years ago.”
You can also read about Coronal Mass Ejections (CME’s) on NASA website. I trust NASA more than the Catholic church. The Roman Catholic Church has a bad reputation for making things up.
2. Another reason why Catholics claim that we should believe the Message of Fatima is because all of the Popes since the Fatima Miracle have recognized that the Message is authentic. Several Popes have gone to Fatima in person, including Paul VI, John Paul I and John Paul II. John Paul II said at Fatima in 1982 that “the Message of Fatima imposes an obligation on the Church.”
Realistically, just because the Popes recognize the alleged Message of Our Lady of Fatima as “authentic” is certainly NO PROOF at all. Just because the Pope says something doesn’t make it so. Catholics foolishly elevate their Popes to the idolatrous level of God’s Vicar (representative) on earth. There is NO such teaching found in the Bible. God has no official representative upon the earth. All believers are God’s representatives (2nd Corinthians 5:20).
3. Another reason why Catholics claim that we should believe the Message of Fatima is because of other alleged miracles have been performed by God authenticating the Fatima Message as coming from Him, not only at the time of the Miracle of the Sun, October 13, 1917, but down the years to the present day, reported miracles of conversions and cures which science seemingly cannot explain by natural means.
However, the Bible clearly teaches that Satan can also perform miracles, signs, and wonders (Revelation 13:14). We must be extremely careful about attributing anything to God simply because it is a miracle. Pharaoh’s wicked magicians mimicked the Miracles which God performed at the hand of Moses. Satan is deceiving the world with his miracles, signs, wonders, and damnable heresies.
In addition, Charismatic such as Oral Roberts have been known to scam the masses with fake miracles and rigged healing services (an excellent book to read on this is The Charismatic Movement by Dr. John R. Rice).
4. Another reason why Catholics claim that we should believe the Message of Fatima is because the Message of Fatima supposedly accurately predicted world events, which proves that it is a true prophecy.
The TRUTH is that any idiot saw World Wars coming. I predict that a future war is coming! Wow!, I must be a prophet. Why are the predictions so vague?
Also, the events that Our Lady of Fatima supposedly predicted could have easily been known in advance by Vatican insiders (friends of the richest and most powerful people). For anyone who understands the truth about history, they know that it was Wall Street bankers behind the diabolical Federal Reserve System, WW1, the Great Depression, WW2, etc. It was Wall Street that created Communism. It’s a conspiracy IBM manufactured the devices used to stamp serial numbers on holocaust victims. Henry Ford was a person friend of Adolph Hitler. I. G. Farben (a German company) was a conglomerate of around 200 companies (many of which were U.S. companies) which manufactured the Zyklon B gas used to murder holocaust victims. The Vatican in Rome was involved in the brutal murdering of millions of innocent people in the holocaust. Did you know that the new Pope, Benedict XVI was a former hitler youth It’s true!
The prediction that Russia would rise to a world-power is NOT surprising in the least when one understands the deliberate creation of communism
The Message of the Blessed Virgin of Fatima is nothing more than a ridiculous and evil invention of the Roman catholic Church. There is NO PROOF of any cosmic miracle, other than than testimonies of people who THOUGHT they saw a miracle. What they saw in 1917 was an astronomical event which occurs repeatedly every 11 years. The Vatican used the event to dupe the ignorant masses who thought they had seen a “miracle” of nature. I’m sure that there have been people throughout history who were conned by some smart guy who predicted a solar eclipse, calling it a “miracle.” The Catholic Church thrives on the ignorance of the masses. Most people don’t have enough sense to question the “traditions” and “claims” of the Catholic Church, they just blindly believe the Vatican because they package everything in appealing wrappers. The Catholic religion is all about “eye candy.” They offer a structured, non-spirit based system, from the cradle to the casket, step-by-step religion. Just add participation, no faith required.
I am NOT trying to be unkind. On the contrary, I care about people very much, which is why I am willing to risk being unpopular in exchange for giving you the TRUTH of God’s Word. The Bible does NOT deal in traditions, it is the Word of God. You have been lied to by the Vatican for long enough!
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” -Colossians 2:8
The Message and miracle of Fatima is a lie, a hoax. The Catholic Church propagates to the world that the Blessed Virgin of Fatima gave the following requests to the 3 children:

At Fatima Our Lady said that God wished to establish in the world devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady said that many souls would be saved from Hell and the annihilation of nations averted if, in time, devotion to Her Immaculate Heart were established principally by these two means:

1) the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by the Pope together with the world’s bishops in a solemn public ceremony, and

(2) the practice or receiving Holy Communion (and other specific devotions of about 1/2 hour in duration) in reparation for the sins committed against the Blessed Virgin Mary, on the first Saturdays of five consecutive months–a practice known to Catholics as “the First Saturday” devotion.

It warns that if the requests of Our Lady of Fatima for the Consecration of Russia and the First Saturday devotion are not honored, the Church will be persecuted, there will be other major wars, the Holy Father will have much to suffer and various nations will be annihilated. Many nations will be enslaved by Russian militant atheists. Most important, many souls will be lost.

The Message of Fatima promises that if the requests of Our Lady of Fatima are carried out “My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will Consecrate Russia to Me, which will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to mankind.”
This stuff is better than science fiction…as a matter of FACT, it is science fiction! Let me quote a phrase from the above article again…
“Our Lady said that many souls would be saved from Hell and the annihilation of nations averted if, in time, devotion to Her Immaculate Heart were established…”
Can anyone show me that in the Bible? No, you CANNOT! John 14:6 tells us that the ONLY way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” -John 14:6
Catholicism is a lie! The Message of Fatima is Satanic, totally contrary to the Word of God! NO AMOUNT OF DEVOTION to Mary can save a person from hell. Where in the world did Catholics ever get the crazy idea that Mary is to be recognized at all. Roman Catholicism has it’s origins in a heathen Babylonian religion which worshipped the “Queen of Heaven” (Jeremiah 44:19,25)
“The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger” -Jeremiah 7:18
Unbelievably, the Catholic Church addresses the “Blessed Virgin Mary” as the “Queen of Heaven.” Where do you think they got that term from? It came from ancient Babylon. Please don’t believe the lies of the Catholic religion any more, turn to Jesus Christ in faith and He WILL forgive you and cleanse your sins away with His precious blood

“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” -Isaiah 42

Let me clarify right from the very start that I do NOT hate anyone. I love the Pope and all Catholics just as I do all people (I really do). I love them with God’s love. I love them enough to risk being unpopular by telling them the truth of God’s Word. Though I may not like someone, I am still commanded in the Bible to love them. I have no intentions to be unkind to anyone, I simply want to preach the TRUTH of God’s Word. Undoubtedly, many people will be offended because the truth always offends those who are living in sin and darkness. Just as Jesus Christ my Saviour, I am more willing to be divided over truth than to be united by error. I cannot compromise because the Bible does not compromise. God said what He meant and meant what He said. Many of the foundational doctrines of Roman Catholicism are NOT found anywhere in the Bible. It is evil to reject the plain teachings of Scripture in exchange for the traditions of men.

God Will Not Share His Glory
God will NOT share His glory with another (Isaiah 42:8). In Exodus 20:3-5 we read that God is a jealous God, so jealous that we are commanded NOT to even BOW to a statue or image.
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God” -Exodus 20:3
God is more jealous than any husband or wife could ever be. It is a dangerous thing to commit idolatry. It is a sin to bow to any saint. Roman Catholicism twists the Bible, actually condoning the idolatrous glorifying of dead people (saints). It is a sin to pray to anyone or anything in an attempt to influence God. There is ONLY One Mediator between God and men–The Lord Jesus Christ…
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” -1st Timothy 2:5
The ONLY Way to God the Father is through God the Son. John 14:6 declares…
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
To pray or even bow to any statue, image or crucifix is wicked sin. Jesus NEVER even once asked anyone to create an image of Him dying on a cross. The Catholic Church is infested with idols, crucifixes and superstitions.
It is wicked to pray or even BOW to “Mother Mary.” Pope John Paul II is committing idolatry in the image to the left. Mary is NOT my mother, and she’s NOT your mother either. Mary is NOT the “Queen of Heaven.” Mary is NOT the mother of the church. Mary was just a godly woman chosen by God the Father to be the earthly mother of Jesus Christ, God incarnate. In heaven, Mary is no more special than any other godly woman who fears and loves God. It is wicked to teach that Mary was anything more than a godly woman. John the Baptist was called the greatest man born amongst men (Mathew 11:11), yet Jesus said that he that is LEAST in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John. The same is true with Mary or anyone else. If it were not for God’s merciful grace, we would all be hopelessly bound for hell damnation (and that includes Mary).
By the way, the teaching of Catholics that Mary was born without any “original sin” is absurd, she was born with a sinful nature just like any other human being. The Bible does NOT teach any nonsense about an “Immaculate Conception” or anything about “original sin.” The word “original” is not even found in the Bible. Mary is NOT a with Jesus.

Can The Catholics Ever Make Up Their Minds?
The Catholic crowd likes to do the same thing as the Wiccan witches do…claim that all Christians are ignorant of history. How convenient that so many heathen groups can claim legitimacy and trustworthiness based upon ambiguous history. If anything, history reveals that the Catholic religion is composed today of a series of What will be the next invention? The Roman Church says it never changes; yet, it has done nothing else but invent new doctrines which are contrary to the Bible, and has practiced rites and ceremonies taken bodily from paganism. Some scholar has found that 75% of the rites and ceremonies of the Roman Church are of pagan origin.
Note:– Cardinal Newman, in his book, “The Development of the Christian Religion,” admits that … “Temples, incense, oil lamps, votive offerings, holy water, holidays and season of devotions, processions, blessing of fields, sacerdotal vestments, the tonsure (of priests and monks and nuns), images … are all of pagan origin…” (Page 359).
HERESIES are those doctrines and practices which are contrary to the Bible. They are also called “human traditions” or “doctrines of men”. Both Peter and Paul predicted and warned that in the later times “false teachers” would rise within the Church and bring in “damnable heresies” and “doctrines of devils”. (Read II Peter 2:1-3, and I Tim. 3:2-5). Jesus rebuked the Pharisees, for they transgressed the commandments of God by keeping their traditions. “in vain,” He said, “they worship me by keeping for doctrines the commandments of men” (Matt. 15:3,9).
The real heretics therefore, are the Roman Catholics and the true orthodox are the Evangelical Christians.
BRETHREN! The Word of God commands us to get out of Babylon, saying: “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Rev. 18:4). All true Christians will remain faithful to the religion of Christ as taught in the Bible, and heed the warning of the Apostle Paul, who said: “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other Gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” (Gal. 1:8).
Roman Catholicism openly admits that many of their doctrines did NOT originate from the Bible, but from the church itself. It is blasphemy to recognize the writings of the church fathers as inspired by God. For example, in 1834, the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary was proclaimed by Pope Pius IX. The Bible states that all men, with the sole exception of Christ, are sinners. Mary herself had need of a Saviour (Romans 3:23; 5:12; Psalm 51:5; Luke 1:30,46,47). In 1439, the doctrine of Purgatory was proclaimed as a dogma of faith by Council of Florence. The Bible says that Christ instituted only two ordinances, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 28:19-20; 26:26-28).The Catholic heresy of the “Assumption of Mary isn’t found in the Bible or even in their own magisterium.

Roman Catholics Reject the Commandments of God
Matthew 23:9 forbids calling any man “Father” in the sense of reverence…
“And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.” -Matthew 23:9
Catholics disobey the Bible by calling the priest “Father.” Only God is to be reverenced by such a title. The Pope is NOT the “vicar” of God, but is rather a false prophet of Satan.
1st Timothy 4:1-3 warns…
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”
Are Catholics blind? Or perhaps Catholics just don’t read the Bible. 1st Timothy 4:1-3 clearly WARNS us about cults that forbid people to eat meat (every Friday for Catholics) or get married (Catholic celibacy laws that forbid priests from getting married).
I recently listened to a Catholic priest on TV speaking to his parish. He told the people that the best way to know what’s right on all matters of faith and morals is to just “listen to the Pope.” What a contrast to the teachings of the Word of God. The Bible declares…
“…let God be true, but every man a liar…” -Romans 3:4

The Catholic religion teaches that Jesus chose the Apostle Peter as the “rock” upon which Christ would build the Church. Matthew 16:18 reads “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” A simple cross reference of Matthew 16:18 with 1st Peter 2:7 reveals the true context, “Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner.” JESUS is the cornerstone upon which the Church is built. Even today, architects and builders realize that to build ANY structure, you MUST have a very accurate starting point upon which everything else can be built. Jesus is that Precious and Perfect cornerstone upon which everything in the Christian life is based. Surely, a flawed sinful man such as Peter could NOT have been the cornerstone of the church. In Matthew 16:23, just five verses after Jesus spoke of the “rock,” he called Peter “Satan.” There’s no way Jesus was referring to Peter as the “rock” in Matthew 16:18. Jesus Christ is the ONLY Rock upon which the Church is built…”For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1st Corinthians 3:11).

Rosary From Hell
The Catholics teach that the rosary should be performed every day. I’d like to have ANYONE show me that from the Bible. Where did God tell us to perform a rosary? The Rosary, or prayer beads, was introduced by Peter the Hermit, in the year 1090…copied from Hindus and Mohammedans. The counting of prayers is a pagan practice and is expressly condemned by Christ (Matthew 6:5-13). The rosary should NEVER be performed by anyone, it is sinful. Jesus condemned chants and recited prayers…
“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.” —Matthew 6:7
I listened to a bunch of nuns chanting today on the EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) cable channel. It’s a cable channel just for Catholics, also used to brainwash children with Catholic heresies. Those nuns in their penguin outfits looked so silly. It was all vain repetitions. They were just moaning, repeating the words of the head nun (the kind of nun that looked like she’d hit you with a ruler). It was so dead and formal, no life and joy of the Lord. I couldn’t help but feel sorry for those blinded people, carrying heavy religious burdens, grievous to be borne…
“For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.” —Matthew 23:4
Jesus offers restful salvation to anyone who will receive it. Salvation is simple. God doesn’t require us to perform sacraments or give our lives to the Catholic Church. Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven is within our hearts, not in temples or extravagant buildings made by men. God is a Spirit and they that worship Him MUST worship Him in Spirit and in TRUTH (John 4:24). You CANNOT worship God in heresy or tradition. Jesus offers us rest from the heavy burdens placed upon us by the religions of mankind. Religion is a sure road to hell, ONLY through Christ Jesus can anyone be forgiven and their name written in heaven.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” -Matthew 11:28
Salvation is found in Christ alone –NOT by baptism, NOT by the sacraments, NOT by church membership, NOT by good works, NOT by praying the rosary, NOT by sacrificing, NOT by religion, NOT by mass, NOT by the Pope, NOT by the priest…ONLY by Jesus Christ.
Devotion to Mary is Unscriptural
The following excellent article was written by a former devout Roman Catholic concerning the unscriptural following of Mary:
“No one who has carefully examined the events of and surrounding Fatima could possibly share your opinion of the Blessed Mother.

I was a Catholic for 34 years. I was a great devoted follower of Mary. But after I became a Christian, I went to four years of seminary and made it a point to carefully study the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church. I compared their doctrines to the truths of the Bible, and they (the Catholic Church) are without a doubt full of false doctrines, and therefore a false religion.

Mary was a wonderful person, and blessed, but she, like every other human was a sinner, before and after the birth of Christ. So was Joseph, and the Apostles. The Bible says “all” have sinned, there is not one who does good, no not one! Mary was a sinner and needed a Savior. The lie of the Catholic doctrine of the Immaculate Conception, is that Mary (just like Jesus) was born without sin. But this is a direct contradiction to the Bible.

The Catholic Church also claims that Mary, was a perpetual virgin all of her life. Yet the Bible says this is simply not true, for Mary was a virgin until Jesus was born, and then had normal sexual relations with her husband Joseph, and had other children, see Matthew 1:23-25:

“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” – which means, “God with us.” When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her “until” she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus. [Matthew 1:23-25]

The Catholic Church dishonors Mary by giving her honor God never intended.
There was an incident when Jesus’ mother and “brothers” (Mary’s children), went to get Jesus: “When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.” [Mark 3:21]

“Someone told Jesus, ‘Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.’ He replied to him, ‘Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?’ Pointing to his disciples, Jesus said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.'” [Matthew 12:47-50]

The point Jesus was making is that Mary, his earthly mother, had no special position or honor over any other Christian who does God’s will. Mary is blessed, as was the Apostles, they were used by God in a special way, but she was never to be worshipped and elevated as the Catholics do–this is a dishonor to her and to Christ. Mary is in heaven and doesn’t have clue what we are doing here and could care less, she is focused on Jesus her Lord and Savior. The prayers of Catholics to Mary and the other saints are an abomination and a stench in the nostrils of God, for, “there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” [1 Timothy 2:5]

See that, only one mediator! Mary is not a mediator, she can’t hear us nor intervene in any way.
You are caught up in a great deception, and will someday pay a tremendous price of eternal suffering in the Lake of Fire unless you bow down to Jesus, and Jesus alone, repenting of your sins, confessing belief in who Jesus claimed to be: God, the “ONLY” mediator, the only way of salvation, and then submitting to His Word and will.

Also, Fatima is a lie straight from the pit. Satan stages false healings, or removes his crippling effects at the right time to give “Our Lady of Fatima” the credit, in order to keep the people duped. It is like a bunch of pagans bowing down and praying to a rock. If the rock never answered a prayer, then in time they would throw the rock away, but if “once in a while” the rock would do something for them, then they will keep praying to the rock. Fatima is the Catholic rock, a plaster statue, that Satan uses once in a while to fake a healing to keep the Catholics deceived and it seems to be working.”
Catholicism is of the devil, no doubt about it. I say this from a Biblical perspective. You cannot argue with me unless you have already reject the Bible. The traditions of the Catholic Church are NOT inspired. Nearly every cult in the world claims inspiration to some writings written by heretics. The Seventh Day Adventists teach that the writings of Ellen G. White are inspired. So also do Mormons claim inspiration to the Book of Mormon. Don’t be deceived my friend, the ONLY God-breathed Book on this planet is the Bible (which I believe to be the preserved 1611 King James Bible). Satan wants to deceive you, he has already deceived the masses…
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world” -Revelation 12:9
Upon the death of Pope John Paul II, the world came together in unity to praise the departed Catholic idol. The Bible clearly teaches that the world loves it’s own…
“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” -John 15:19
I am hated because I am not of the world, I am against the world (James 4:4). Roman Catholicism is of the world, devilish in it’s doctrines. I am on God’s side, exposing the lies and the heresies. The Bible teaches that Satan is deceiving the masses of the world. Please do not allow the Catholic religion to lead you into hell. Don’t be deceived by the Catholic priest’s familiar use of Biblical terms and lingo, you are being LIED TO! The Bible doesn’t teach many of the teachings that the Catholic Church propagates. Do your homework! Read your Bible! Pray to the Holy Spirit directly and ask God to guide you into all truth.

Tradition Verses the Bible
Here is the Scripture that I think describes Roman Catholicism the best…
“He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” -Mark 7:6-9
The Roman Catholic Church is a BIG HOAX because it teaches the traditions of men instead of the commandments of God. In so doing, the Vatican has created a non-spirit based religion that offers faithless heathens a structured system of religion from the cradle to the casket. No faith is required to be a Catholic, just do as you are told. Do you know who the first Catholic was? It was Cain who tried to impress God with his works. Able had faith and it pleased God. Listen friend, it all comes down to Catholic tradition verses the. Upon what authority does the Catholic church makes these bizarre claims? They play too many word games, thus confusing their own people. Catholic worship is false worship.
Please read through these several links and ask God to open your heart. I triple-dog dare you to find all the Catholic traditions in the Bible. You won’t!
May God bless you with discernment to see the TRUTH,
David J. Stewart

The rosary, and it’s origin is indeed and abomination unto God. It spits at His Word, it denies His will, it blasphemes His Holy Spirit, and it lies to His children. This ritual needs to be exposed as evil simply because it is evil. But before you can really understand just how evil this rosary is, you need to know if it breaks the basics of God will you need to know how the Catholic is taught to use the rosary. Is it really a repetitive prayer on top of all the other apparent evils, and if so, is it also vain prayer in more than one way? So… how does one pray the rosary of Rome?
#1 Looking at the cross, Catholics hold it while they make the sign of the cross and pray the Apostles’ Creed which is actually a summary of all the things Catholics are taught to believe.
I won’t comment on the open idolatry associated with this evil ritual, because I know most Catholics have been taught from day one to ignore that fact and do it anyway. For any Catholic reading this that needs to see the evidence of this fact, I implore you to please look in your own Catechism books and you will find Commandment #2 is completely missing. There’s a reason for that. Go to Exodus chapter 20 and read the second commandment and you will understand why it’s removed once you sit in your church and see all those kneelers in front of statues.
Getting back… The “sign of the cross” is actually the sign of Baal. Try it and find out! Place your hand on your forehead… now place it on your chest, now on your left shoulder, and finally your right shoulder. That is NOT like the cross Christ was crucified on is it? It is depicting a cross of BAAL instead. In the Catholic Encyclopedia it states the following for the “Sign of the Cross…”

Sign of the Cross
A term applied to various manual acts, liturgical or devotional in character, which have this at least in common: that by the gesture of tracing two lines intersecting at right angles they indicate symbolically the figure of Christ’s cross. (Catholic Encyclopedia )

The obvious problem with the Roman Catholic “sign of the cross” has to do with the reality as to WHO’S cross it really is. Once you see it illustrated you will understand easily.

If the Roman Catholic “sign of the cross” were a Christian cross, you would have to make it thusly… Place your hand on your forehead… now place it on your groin, now on your left shoulder, and finally your right shoulder. That is NOT what the Roman Catholic church demands. They are actually having their congregation make the sign of BAAL on their bodies and NOT a cross that depicts the cross Christ was crucified on. Notice the shocking revelation in the following pic that most are totally unaware of.
Here you can actually see that the main area of the cross the Roman Church would have their followers use resembles that of Baal’s cross. The cross of Baal is more like the “plus sign” on your keyboard than a cross Rome used to kill people with. The arms of the cross of Baal equal in length to the vertical staff of the cross. However, in the Roman Catholic “sign of the cross” an interesting revelation comes to light. Not only do the arms equal in length to the staff, but you can also see that the horizontal portion of the cross is inverted somewhat, thus making the Roman Catholic sign of the cross more likely the inverted cross of the church of Satan. You can see this verified as their true reason for the “sign of the cross” in the following pic of Pope John Paul at a mass in Jerusalem back in the year 2000…

In essence, every Catholic that makes this “sign of the cross” is showing their allegiance to Satan and Baal at the same time. Fact is, Baal is just another name for Satan. Without going into the other fourteen points for the Rosary, one can see that right off the bat, the Rosary is an evil ritual designed by Satan himself.

As I was doing research for this page a subscriber to my Newsletter sent me the following information regarding the “sign of the cross.”

Have just received and read your article concerning the meaning of the RCC crossing themselves. I would like to share with you something I heard recently – I do not know how much truth there is to it – and, you have may have already heard this before.
At the time of Jesus’ trial when He was in to see Pilate and Pilate came out to ask of the crowd what he should do with this man, their answer being “crucify him,” the crowd was so large that those out towards the fringes could not heard due to the distance and the shoutings of others. Because they wanted to have their opinion to be known, they resorted to a visual representation of using their hands across their bodies which could be seen since they could not be heard from such a distance. Knowing how a person is spread out on a cross, they made this visual “signing” as their method of communicating their wish to “crucify him.” That is how the “signing” had it’s origin – or so I have been told. Whether it’s true or not, I do not know, but it certainly fits. ________________________________________
I have yet to be able to verify this as fact, but I felt it is important enough to mention. Looking to the history of Babylon and how they “handed down” numerous rituals through the years, it makes perfect sense that the Roman Catholic church would adopt this ritual and give it a “Christian meaning” as they have all the other doctrines of men and demons. Satan doesn’t care how you do his evil act, as long as you DO it.
#2 On this first bead of the rosary (see above pic of rosary) the Catholic is taught to pray an ‘Our Father.’ The is a prayer the Roman Catholic church assumes Jesus taught as an actual prayer. Problem here is, it is NOT a prayer at all. In Luke 11 we see the disciples asking Jesus to TEACH them to pray. The “Our Father” as Rome calls it, is actually an OUTLINE of prayer. If the “our Father’ was an actual prayer, then explain John chapter 17. That entire chapter is an actual PRAYER OF CHRIST Himself. Is He saying the “our Father” here? No He is not. Is HE using the OUTLINE set forth in the “our Father” in this prayer? Yes He is!
#3 On each of the next three beads, Catholics are taught to pray a prayer to Mary, called ‘the Hail Mary.’
Here is where the repetitive prayers start to become apparent. Fact is, ALL of the Rosary is repetitive prayer, it’s just bluntly proven here, and even more so in a moment.
#4 On this bead, Catholics are taught to announce the first mystery that this Rosary is about to be dedicated to. They are taught to reflect on what happened to Jesus at the time depicted in the particular mystery they are meditating on. On this bead the “our Father” is repeated the first time.
#5 Here the Catholics are told to pray one ‘Hail Mary’ on each of the next 10 beads. Then they are told to recite the prayer called ‘the Glory Be’ for the first time.
This is where it should become graphically apparent to the Catholic that he Rosary is evil, and openly repetitive. It goes DIRECTLY against the will of Almighty God in that it is REPETITIVE. Plus, it is truly in vain they pray this prayer. It is now Biblically understood that Mary is NOT in Heaven at this time. She is in the grave awaiting the arrival of her Savior Jesus Christ as are the rest of the faithful.
• #6 On each bead that separates the preceding ten, the ‘our Father’ is repeated.
• #7 Again, the ‘Hail Mary’ is prayed/repeated for the next ten beads. Then the ‘Glory be’ is repeated
• #8 Again on this bead the ‘our Father’ is repeated
• #9 Again, the ‘Hail Mary’ is prayed/repeated for the next ten beads. Then the ‘Glory be’ is repeated
• #10 Again on this bead the ‘our Father’ is repeated
• #11 Again, the ‘Hail Mary’ is prayed/repeated for the next ten beads. Then the ‘Glory be’ is repeated
• #12 Again on this bead the ‘our Father’ is repeated
• #13 Again, the ‘Hail Mary’ is prayed/repeated for the next ten beads. Then the ‘Glory be’ is repeated
• #14 The end of the Rosary (for this dedication) is reached. Now the Catholic is taught to pray the ‘Hail Holy Queen.’ for the “first” time.
#15 The Catholic is taught to then repeat all of the above for the next two dedications if in fact he or she is going to do an ENTIRE rosary. And as of just a few weeks back, Pope John Paul II added yet ANOTHER so called “mystery” to the rosary bringing the total to FOUR mysteries that must now be repeated, if the Catholics seeks to do an entire rosary. When I was a Catholic it took me 45 minutes to recite all three sets of mysteries, (Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious) Since the Pope has added the mystery of “Light.” “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” [-2 Corinthians 11:14] I am sure it would take at least an hour to repeat all four now.
For the Roman Catholic church to proclaim to it’s followers you MUST pray the Rosary is openly stating you MUST do exactly the opposite of what the Lord God Almighty has stated in His Word! You must SPIT in God’s face and obey MAN over God!
The Rosary is an open and graphic worship of MARY plain and simple. There are 58 beads in each Rosary as well as a dual faced medal of Mary and a crucifix of Christ upon it. Plus, at the end of each series of ten beads is a prayer called “the Glory be” that is to be repeated holding the chain between the beads. That’s 65 prayers altogether. Out of those 65 prayers, 54 of them are dedicated to the dead body of Mary in the grave. That is spiritualism and necromancy my friend! The Catholic is actually taught to communicate with the DEAD. Even the Roman Catholic church will admit there is NOT a single line of Scripture that proclaims Mary is in Heaven right now. That is why they “assumed” her into Heaven three to fifteen years after Christ ascended.

The dates assigned for it (the assumption) vary between three and fifteen years after Christ’s Ascension. -Catholic Encyclopedia

The rosary is a grand example of repetitive prayer. 65 prayers per dedication, and now that the Pope has added a “mystery” to the rosary thereby making it contain four different sets of dedications. That comes to a total of 260 prayers that must be repeated by the Catholic each time they say a complete rosary! And out of those 260 prayers, 216 of them are completely dedicated to the dead body of Mary in the grave!
The rosary is not only a repetitive as well as vain prayer, it is also the means by which the Antichrist in Rome can get the masses worshipping Mary, who in essence is actually the Pagan goddess “Queen of Heaven.” As Isaiah so perfectly warned us, Satan want’s to be worshipped as a God no matter what. Even if it means you call him “Mary.” That is no problem for him. His main concern is to get the people to break the commandments of God, and in so doing, afford him complete permission to be in their lives. Little known fact is, the Vatican has put out documentation that openly declares Mary worthy of worship.

RESEARCH # 3________________________________________
Pope dedicates his general audience to “the Virgin Mary”
May 7, 1997 (David W. Cloud, Fundamental Baptist News Service, 1701 Harns Rd., Oak Harbor, WA 98277) – On May 7 Pope John Paul II dedicated his general audience to “the Virgin Mary” and urged all Christians to accept Mary as their mother. He noted the words spoken by Jesus on the cross to Mary and to John– “Woman, behold thy son!” and “Behold thy mother!” (John 19:26,27), and he claimed that in this statement “IT IS POSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND THE AUTHENTIC MEANING OF MARIAN WORSHIP in the ecclesial community … which furthermore is based on the will of Christ” (Vatican Information Service, May 7, 1997).
John Paul II underlined that “the history of Christian piety teaches that MARY IS THE PATH THAT LEADS TO CHRIST, and that filial devotion to her does not at all diminish intimacy with Jesus, but rather, it increases it and leads it to very high levels of perfection.” He concluded by asking all Christians “to make room (for Mary) in their daily lives, ACKNOWLEDGING HER PROVIDENTIAL ROLE IN THE PATH OF SALVATION” (Ibid.).

Jesus said rather plainly in John 14:6, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Fact is folks, the rosary is a very evil ritual found in the Pagan church as well as many other evil organizations. For example, you can find the exact same rosary beads in many cultures of the world. Witches use them in their evil incantations as do those that practice Voodoo. Satanists use them as well as the Buddhists. That is why many years ago generations of Protestant children grew up thinking all Catholics were Pagans and extremely evil because they recited the rosary. Now? It’s beginning to be “tolerated” more so in the mainstream Protestant churches. Literal truth here is, they aren’t Protestant at all anymore anyway. They are ALL Catholics now whether they believe it or not.
Like the “Queen of Heaven” that draws many Anti-Christian churches together in these last days, one can see the rosary is also used by Satan to fuel the ecumenical charge. Pray for the Catholics. Pray that they learn they are in grave danger being in the church of Antichrist. Pray they hear the call of their Savior Jesus Christ
INRI is an acronym of the Latin inscription IESVS•NAZARENVS•REX•IVDÆORVM (Jesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum), which translates to English as “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.” The acronym commonly appears in Catholic churches above the crucifix in front of the church. Crucifixes are not taught in the Bible.
The major problem with crucifixes in the Catholic religion is the demonic teaching of the Mass that underlies the use of crucifixes in Catholicism. Catholics are taught that Jesus DIES again at every Mass ceremony. It is known theologically as the doctrine of “TRANSUBSTANTIATION.” This false doctrine of the Catholic Church teaches that the wafer and wine consumed at Mass literally turn into the physical flesh and blood of Jesus Christ, which supposedly gives to the participant renewed spiritual life and blessing.
This is totally unbiblical. Hebrews 9:12,26, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Notice the word, “once.” Jesus became a sacrifice ONCE to take away the sins of mankind. Jesus DOESN’T die again at every Mass. The term “Mass” is NOT a Biblical word. The teaching of Mass is NOT found in the Word of God. It is a purely Catholic manmade doctrine fabricated in 394 A.D. The Bible teaches the ordinance of observing the Lord’s Supper, but this is only done in remembrance of Jesus crucifixion; and doesn’t in any way involved eating, digesting and eliminating Jesus in the bodily wastes.
There is nothing wrong with saying that Jesus is of Nazareth or that He is the King of the Jews. However, the use of crucifixes as objects of idolatrous worship is sinful. Exodus 20:4,5 forbids worshipping or bowing to any likeness of anything or anyone in Heaven or earth, including the Lord Himself. Jesus never asked us to worship a statue of Him, nor pray to a picture of Him, for it is idolatry to do so.

Above: Look at this huge “Virgin Mary” statue in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming! Philippians 2:10 proclaims, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” Not one Scripture, NOT ONE, tells us to recognize Mary in any capacity whatsoever. Yet, a Catholic will say 53 “Hail Marys” in a full Rosary, and millions of times in a normal lifetime.

In Catholic tradition, there are many reported occurrences of Mary, angels, and/or saints appearing and delivering a message from God. It is likely that at least in some of these cases, the people were genuinely seeing something supernatural. While some of what is seen in various places is perhaps the work of charlatans, other apparitions were apparently authentic. However, with that said, an apparition being authentic does not mean it is a message from God or a genuine appearance of Mary, an angel, or a saint. Scripture declares that Satan and his demons masquerade as angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). Satanic deception is just as possible an explanation for the apparitions.

The only way to determine whether an apparition is a “lying wonders” or a genuine message from God is to compare the apparition with Scripture. If the teachings that are attached to these apparitions are contrary to the Word of God, the apparitions themselves are then Satanic in nature. A study of the teachings of Our Lady Fatima with its “Miracle of the Sun” is a good example.

It would indeed seem that something spectacular happened on October 13, 1917…the something did in fact appear and deliver a message. The fact that its timing coincided with what had been told to the shepherd children three months earlier would seem to tie this event with the apparitions they had been seeing over the previous months, first of the angel and later of the “Lady of Fatima.”

When one compares the message of Fatima to what the Bible teaches, it is evident that the message of Fatima combines some biblical truth with several unbiblical practices and teachings. The following paragraphs are quoted directly from a website dedicated to the “Lady of Fatima,” Specific words or sentences are underlined to indicate them to be unbiblical (not taught by the Bible), or anti-Biblical (contradictory to the Bible). Following the lengthy quotations, more information will be given with specific reasons for classifying these apparitions as “lying wonders.” Here then is a quoted summary of the overall message given by the Lady of Fatima:

The Message in General

“The general Message of Fatima is not complicated. Its requests are for prayer, reparation, repentance, and sacrifice, and the abandonment of sin. Before Our Lady appeared to the three shepherd children, Lucy, Francisco and Jacinta, the Angel of Peace visited them. The Angel prepared the children to receive the Blessed Virgin Mary, and his instructions are an important aspect of the Message that is often overlooked.

“The Angel demonstrated to the children the fervent, attentive, and composed manner in which we should all pray, and the reverence we should show toward God in prayer. He also explained to them the great importance of praying and making sacrifices in reparation for the offenses committed against God. He told them: ‘Make of everything you can a sacrifice and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication, for the conversion of sinners.’ In his third and final apparition to the children, the Angel gave them Holy Communion, and demonstrated the proper way to receive Our Lord in the Eucharist: all three children knelt to receive Communion; and Lucy was given the Sacred Host on the tongue and the Angel shared the Blood of the Chalice between Francisco and Jacinta.

“Our Lady stressed the importance of praying the Rosary in each of Her apparitions, asking the children to pray the Rosary every day for peace. Another principal part of the Message of Fatima is devotion to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart, which is terribly outraged and offended by the sins of humanity, and we are lovingly urged to console Her by making reparation. She showed Her Heart, surrounded by piercing thorns (which represented the sins against Her Immaculate Heart), to the children, who understood that their sacrifices could help to console Her.

“The children also saw that God is terribly offended by the sins of humanity, and that He desires each of us and all mankind to abandon sin and make reparation for their crimes through prayer and sacrifice. Our Lady sadly pleaded: ‘Do not offend the Lord our God any more, for He is already too much offended!’

“The children were also told to pray and sacrifice themselves for sinners, in order to save them from hell. The children were briefly shown a vision of hell, after which Our Lady told them: ‘You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.’

“Our Lady indicated to us the specific root of all the troubles in the world, the one that causes world wars and such terrible suffering: sin. She then gave a solution, first to individual people, then to the Church’s leaders. God asks each one of us to stop offending Him. We must pray, especially the Rosary. By this frequent prayer of the Rosary, we will get the graces we need to overcome sin. God wants us to have devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to work to spread this devotion throughout the world. Our Lady said, ‘My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God.’ If we wish to go to God, we have a sure way to Him through true devotion to the Immaculate Heart of His Mother.

“In order to move ever closer to Her, and therefore to Her Son, Our Lady stressed the importance of praying at least five decades of the Rosary daily. She asked us to wear the Brown Scapular. And we must make sacrifices, especially the sacrifice of doing our daily duty, in reparation for the sins committed against Our Lord and Our Lady. She also stressed the necessity of prayers and sacrifices to save poor sinners from hell. The Message of Fatima, to individual souls, is summarized in these things.”

there is recorded an interview between Sister Lucy (the 10 year-old shepherd girl who was among the three children who saw the apparitions in 1917) and a Father Fuentes. The interview took place in 1957. In this interview focusing on Fatima and its message, Sister Lucy says the following:

“Father, the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin, and the devil knows what it is that most offends God, and which in a short space of time will gain for him the greatest number of souls. Thus the devil does everything to overcome souls consecrated to God, because in this way the devil will succeed in leaving the souls of the faithful abandoned by their leaders, thereby the more easily will he seize them.

“Father, the Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of the world, but She made me understand this for three reasons. The first reason is because She told me that the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle where one side will be victorious and the other side will suffer defeat. Hence from now on we must choose sides. Either we are for God or we are for the devil; there is no other possibility.

“The second reason is because She said to my cousins as well as to myself, that God is giving two last remedies to the world. They are the Holy Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These are the last two remedies which signify that there will be no others.

“The third reason is because in the plans of Divine Providence, God always, before He is about to chastise the world, exhausts all other remedies. Now, when He sees that the world pays no attention whatsoever then, as we say in our imperfect manner of speaking, He offers us with a certain trepidation the last means of salvation, His Most Holy Mother. It is with a certain trepidation because if you despise and reject this ultimate means, we will not have any more forgiveness from Heaven, because we will have committed a sin which the Gospel calls the sin against the Holy Ghost. This sin consists of openly rejecting, with full knowledge and consent, the salvation which He offers. Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a very good Son and that He does not permit that we offend and despise His Most Holy Mother. We have recorded through many centuries of Church history the obvious testimony which demonstrates by the terrible chastisements which have befallen those who have attacked the honor of His Most Holy Mother, how Our Lord Jesus Christ has always defended the honor of His Mother.

“The two means for saving the world are prayer and sacrifice. [Regarding the Holy Rosary, Sister Lucy said:] Look, Father, the Most Holy Virgin, in these last times in which we live, has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary we will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls. “Finally, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Most Holy Mother, consists in considering Her as the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and as the sure door of entering Heaven.”

In the above paragraphs concerning the message that Sister Lucy felt that the apparition that appeared to her wished to communicate to the world, you find so many things that are not only not found in Scripture but are contrary to Scripture.

1) Mary is referred to as the “Most Holy Mother” and having an “Immaculate Heart.” By this they are not meaning that she is given the righteousness and holiness given to saints through the imputed righteousness of Christ but rather that she was saved from sin in every form through having been conceived in her mother’s womb without the stain of original sin. Never does the Bible refer to Mary as being sinless. Never does it refer to her having an immaculate heart. Rather, she refers to God as her Savior (Luke 1:47). This would seem to place her with the rest of humanity, but the Catholic Church holds that Mary was saved from sin through the merits of Christ by being conceived without sin and then living a sinless life. Again, never is this taught in Scripture. Rather what Scripture teaches is that there is only one exception to the truth that we are all sinners (Romans 3:10, 3:23, etc.). That single exception is Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5).

2) Sister Lucy speaks of devotion to the “Immaculate Heart” of Mary and saying the rosary as the “last two remedies to the world.” She also states that there is no problem that cannot be solved by saying the Rosary. It is the teaching of Fatima that it is through the same that will lead to the saving of many souls. Again, never is such a teaching found in Scripture. The Rosary’s main prayer is the “Hail, Mary” which is repeated fifty times. The first half of it is a quote from Scripture of the greeting of the angel to Mary, “Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb…” but the second half says, “…Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.” Besides giving Mary a title which Scripture does not, it then asks Mary to pray for us. Indeed, Catholics not only see Mary as the one through whom ALL of God’s grace flows, and the one who intercedes to her Son on our behalf, but Catholics also direct prayers to her to deliver people from sin, from war, etc. Pope Paul II’s prayer from the early 1980’s to Mary is an example of such. In this prayer he repeatedly pleads to Mary to “deliver us” from nuclear war, famine, self destruction, from injustice, etc.

Again, never do you find a godly person in Scripture praying to any one but God nor asking for intercession by anyone but those still living on this earth. Rather, Scripture directs us to pray to God (Luke 11:1-2; Matthew 6:6-9; Philippians 4:6; Acts 8:22; Luke 10:2, etc.)! He entreats us to come boldly unto the throne of grace (His throne) that we may find grace and help in time of need (Hebrews 4:14-16). God promised us that the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God with groanings that cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). Why do we need to go through a saint, angel or Mary, especially considering the fact that neither the example of doing so nor the command of doing so is ever given in Scripture? There is only the repeated example of two things in Scripture:

a) Prayer is made to God alone (1 Corinthians 11:5; Romans 10:1; Romans 15:30; Acts 12:5; Acts 10:2; Acts 8:24; Acts 1:24; Zechariah. 8:21-22; Jonah 2:7; 4:2, etc.)

b) Requests for prayer are made only to the living (1 Thessalonians 5:25; 2 Thessalonians 3:1; Hebrews 13:18, etc.)

In addition, nowhere is it taught that Mary is all-seeing, all-hearing, and omniscient (or nearly so) as she would have to be to hear and respond to the multitude of prayers that are directed toward her from the many Catholics who pray to her simultaneously around the world. Instead Scripture teaches that both angels and the spirits of the dead are finite beings, able to only be in one place at a time (Daniel 9:20-23; Luke 16:19f.).

3) One of the repeated messages of Fatima is the call for personal “reparation” or “penance.” This Catholic concept teaches that we must make amends to God and to Mary for the sins we have committed against them. Repeating one of the phrases from the “The Message in General,” the angel told the children to “Make of everything you can a sacrifice and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended…” A reparation is a “expiation … something done or paid as amends; compensation.” This ties in with the Roman Catholic teaching of temporal punishment which a person can take care of through penance now or through time spent in purgatory later. The Bible NEVER speaks of the need to make “reparation” for our sins or doing “penance” to pay for our sins. Rather, what it teaches is that we are to offer our lives as living sacrifices to God in response and in gratitude for all of the mercies He has shown us in salvation (Romans 12:1-2). When a person becomes a Christian, His sins are forgiven and paid for in full by Christ. There remains no further payment that can be made for them, no further expiation required.

4) A key aspect of the Lady of Fatima is the bowing down before and venerating the images associated with the apparition. Throughout the entire Bible, you will find that any time that someone bows down before one of the “saints” or angels, they are told to get up and to stop. Only when done to “the Angel of the Lord” (a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ), or before Jesus or God the Father is such veneration accepted. Catholics make a distinction between “worshiping” God and “venerating” Mary and the saints; but when John the Apostle prostrates himself before an angel, the angel does not ask, “Are you worshiping me or venerating me?” The angel simply tells him to stop and to “worship God” (Revelation 19:10). Likewise, when Peter was being “venerated” (prokuneo – the Greek word that the Catholic Church uses for “veneration” as opposed to “adoration” which only God deserves) by Cornelius in Acts 10:25, Peter tells Cornelius, “Stand up, I myself am also a man.” I might note that his same word is used in the Revelation passage mentioned as well. Thus, the repeated example that we have of an angel or “saint” being “honored” is accompanied by a command to stop!

Thus, praying to Mary is contrary to the Scriptural admonition to pray to God and the Scriptural example to do so. It is also illogical to substitute praying to an all-loving, omniscient, omnipotent God (Psalm 139; Hebrews 4:14-16), to pray to some saint or Mary, for which there is no Scriptural evidence that they can even hear prayers. To pray to saints and to Mary on a worldwide basis is to attribute to them attributes of omnipresence and omniscience which God alone possesses…this truly is idolatry!

5) Lastly, concerning the “Miracle of the Sun,” there are repeated cases in which “lying wonders” are spoken of in Scripture (Exodus 7:22; 8:7; 8:18; Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Revelation 13:13-14). God even tells us in Deuteronomy 13:1f. that when someone gives a prediction that comes true or a “sign” that seems miraculous, but he is teaching the worship of strange gods, to not give heed to him but rather to treat him as a false prophet.

For a Christian, the “content of faith” ought to be the Bible and what it teaches (Isaiah 8:20; 2 Timothy 3:16). And while Catholics may argue that the “Lady of Fatima” is not calling on us to worship “strange gods” but to worship the true God, the idea of venerating Mary to such an extent that her “Immaculate Heart” is put on the same level of devotion as Jesus’ “Sacred Heart” is undeniably the exaltation of a godly woman to a position never given her in Scripture…that of equality with God; for to honor her as one would Christ is to do just that. Likewise, to focus on Mary to such an extent that we spend more time praying to her than to God is also idolatrous, especially in light of the direct commands of Scripture to pray to God and the complete silence in Scripture concerning any exaltation of Mary.

Was the “Miracle of the Sun” a lying wonder? Based on biblical teaching, it would certainly seem so. Satan has no problem mixing enough truth to make a teaching seem right with just enough error to damn souls to hell. Where is it ever mentioned throughout the whole message of Fatima the Gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Christ…the message that is repeated throughout the whole of the New Testament?

Where is it ever mentioned that salvation is only through Christ’s finished work on Calvary and that our works have no merit apart from Him? Penance and making offerings for reparation of our sins are antithetical to Christ’s finished work on Calvary and of our need for salvation by grace alone through faith in Him alone. The calling upon Mary and her Immaculate Heart and the saying of the rosary as the ultimate and final means of saving souls flies in the face of such biblical truths as Acts 4:12 and 1 Timothy 2:5. “To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20).
